I don’t want to fear monger but not fearing this pandemic is the stupidest thing to do. Avoid public places wherever possible. Wash you hands wash your cloths and never touch your face.
Stock up and do everything you can.
Remember actual cases are far higher than reported and growing exponentially when there are no serious lock down measures in place. So it is spreading fast even if people around you are not showing signed yet.
It’s a shame our governments didn’t act accordingly sooner, we had warning and we ignored it.
Do not go about as normal, everyone must take every precaution that they can and it will slow the spread for all.
Stay safe 😷

Bearbeitet von gitsum771: 3/30/2020 5:02:31 AMYou are not fearmongering. The media has done that. People like you are the problem. People like you are the reason that there is nothing at the stores. You have been deceived by the media, who love what is happening, and doing anything they can to make a buck. Imagine that someone says that there is a gas shortage. There is not, but someone said so. So, people buy ALL the gas, and now, there is no gas left. This is what the media does. People are not paying attention. The U.S should have closed borders, along with every country that can, but if not possible, it's fine. Humanity is one of the smartest species. We adapt. We have survived through worse. You should not be worried, just calm down. EDIT: I touched my face and held it there the whole time while typing this post just to spite you.

6 AntwortenJust wait until we are all sterile, then you will know how got we are! Why would we become sterile you ask? Because I am stating it & I am never wrong, especially if I write it on the interwebs!
This message was brought to you by the Free Comedian Alex Jonestown Coalition of Coal. At least we ain't Salt Miners & that makes us a-ok!
The virus itself is merely a flu that hits harder and is more contagious than a regular flu. It is also contagious for much longer than a regular flu. China was the least prepared, first hit, and they have closed all of their temporary treatment hospitals in Wuhan because they don’t have enough cases to need those hospitals anymore. Doctors in India have successfully treated Covid 19 using lopinavir, ritonavir, osiltamivir, and chloroquine. Treatment using Chloroquine has just been authorized for use in the USA and other treatment methods are being tested for FDA approval. Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam and Utrecht University have discovered antibodies that fend off Covid 19 and an antiviral medication is in development. If the virus were to run its course without quarantines and lockdowns, it would be over in 2-4 weeks just like a normal flu season. The difference being that more people would get sick than a normal flu season, and the flu itself would last longer and have worse symptoms. The US and other governments reacted when and how they did, not because they were slow or uninformed, but because they chose to have a “plateau” instead of a “spike” in cases, since everyone being sick at once would be a burden on medical services. This social distancing strategy and shutdown is to keep the number of cases lower over a longer period of time. That’s it. People like to point at Italy when they fear-monger Covid 19. -60% of Italy’s population is over 40. -23% of Italy’s population is elderly -Very high population density -Very high tourist population -Very old infrastructure Italy is a worst-case-scenario for this virus. Super high density population areas like NYC should be extra careful not to get the flu, but there is no reason at all to freak out, shutter-in and stock up. Get your information from the WHO and CDC directly, not the media who deliberately creates alarming speculations in order to keep people watching.

2 AntwortenIf the government locked down everything at the start of every single virus we would never leave our homes. There have been worse viruses in the past(swine flu, SARS, ect) and we didn't go this batshit crazy. What we're experiencing now will become the norm and it's sad.

5 AntwortenI do realize it's bad, but literally shutting down the country is a very bad move. If it keeps going like this the economy is going to crash, not to mention all the people it's already hurting. For instance, in my area they're closing all of the restaraunts. How about all the little mom and pop shops? How are they supposed to pay their bills?

1 AntwortenReminder: the medical masks won’t protect you, due to the filters not protecting against viruses, so get yer self some respirators...

I'm not worried of getting it at all

It’s not bad, if they try to quarantine me I’ll shoot them with a nerf gun

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Psyntifik: 3/21/2020 2:41:47 PMThis is crazy. Your posts essentially amount to telling people to be safe and have just a fraction of humanity for those at risk and all you're really getting back is "Stop panicking, attention seeker! You're the reason the world is going to end!"
