Region locking
Can you please make this an option Bungie? The amount of people I’ve played in the crucible today from other countries is unbelievable. And I’ve been playing classic mix, the mode that is supposedly based on connections. The amount of lag and rubber banding I’ve seen is ridiculous. And I’m sure the people across the ocean are saying the same thing. I don’t think in this day and age it’s too much too ask. At least allow this since dedicated servers will never happen.

I agree for lagging reasons but for else reasons who cares where the other players are from.

Trials is going to have the same issues, even back in D1 Y1 when the matchmaking was supposedly connection based and we had a population of 800K - 1 Million playing in Trials alone (with less platforms), me and my friends would match a team from another continent at least once per passage while playing Friday and Saturday evening time in Europe. This P2P-system cannot even handle cross-continent connections without noticeable lag issues, it is beyond me why Bungie thinks that is somehow acceptable to match you with players from other continents.

Should definitely have the option, but not mandatory as I do like playing with my brother who lives in another country.

Lower the playerbase, the higher the ping. Also VPNs are a cluster bleep for ping.

IN CM it’s nothing but Koreans and Russians for me.
