Weapons will have a lifespan of 9-15 months, that’s a decently long lifespan. It’s not like we’re going to get a weapon one season and the next season it will be gone in a flash. It will have a time to shine for a while
I’m not saying I’m defending this change, I think there can be plenty of better ways to fix this issue. But I’m saying that if this system is implemented, it is not the end of the world, and we will have time to enjoy the weapons we want to use.

Unless they are retiring archtypes, perks and mods... What purpose does this solve other than to inflate an already inflated grind....just because ? It's very lazy.

As it stands, it can easily take months for the loot system to give you the roll you're looking for. Not everyone wants to settle for Sundial weapons. By the time you find your ideal gun, it could only have 2 months left before it expires. For many players, it straight up defeats the purpose of playing the game.

I made a post about this here if you want to read the whole thing, but basically my criticism is that the current RNG of the game is too harsh to put a time limit on acquiring god rolls. If there is not a fundamental rework of loot in some way to accommodate the new system of rotating gear, unlucky people will not be able to get the weapons they want before they just become obsolete.
