I’m done. For the following reasons. PVP I have never experienced anything like D2 SBMM quickplay in my life. I have played every major shooter since the original Wolfenstein. I have been around for every major milestone in multiplayer gaming since the beginning. I still hold to the fact that I am not a horrible Destiny player, but the fact of the matter is.... I can pick up almost any other game in the genre, games I have no practice in, sometimes even games I have never played, some like battlefield, where there is no skill base protection for being new due to being server based, and hold my own... while In Destiny, I am beat relentlessly, every match, with no hope. I have tried to bring awareness to my experience but I have been shit on repeatedly by resentful players. So... after being beat down to almost no joy or hope of improving in the crucible, this alpha D1, Destiny only, daily player, active clan leader of 90, active community member, Sherpa to many, lover of the crucible, has decided to step away from the game for good. I have been disrespected for the last time. I know this may sound dramatic, but Destiny has been a huge part of my life for the last six years. It has been a hobby, one that has brought me into contact with so many special, wonderful people. At one point, it brought a lot of my real life friends together as well. Unfortunately they realized something Long before I did.... In destiny’s current structure, which is the same structure that it has always had, the health of the game for many of us, hinges on both an enjoyable PVE experience, as well as an enjoyable PVP experience. I believe that this is due to the games limited scope. Once my friends realized how limited the scope of this game was, on top of the repeated punishment they received under SBMM(for being decent and starting shortly after the Taken King) they left the game, citing specifically the issues I’ve raised here with the current matchmaking situation. PVE What else is there to say... Bungie has no intention to find creative solutions to Sandbox problems, instead always opting to negatively impact the player experience. They nerf, remove our gear, quickly address any glitch that benefits the player(while ignoring shit like extreme tower load times).
