Checked out a booster service today...I have questions.
Let me start off by saying I have never used a paid booster or carry service in Destiny or Destiny 2, ever. I've always wanted to earn it, rather than buy it.
So, on a Youtube vid I was letting play in the background, one of the sidebar ads was for a Destiny (and I assume other games as well) booster service. For those that aren't familiar, it's basically a site where you look up things you want, like Mountaintop, Divinity, 1k Voices. There are prices listed for each one, and if you pay it, a booster will play on your account until you have the item you 'bought'.
My question is, given the prices, especially, who in the $#%@ is paying for some of this crap? You want the Komodo? $115. Python? $105. Luna's runs you $140, Recluse is $90, Revoker is (for no reason) $150. But the stupid doesn't stop there.
Want 100 season ranks?? They'll charge you...get ready for it... $500. Yeah. You can buy silver, purchase ranks for 100 each (aka, $1) and it would cost you $100 to do it on your own that way. And that's without taking bonus silver into account, either, which makes it less. Or 8 pinnacle drops, like $110 You can do most or all easily, and power level means precisely dick right now.
I don't get it, and I may never. This service and it's offerings wouldn't be there is they weren't getting enough business to stay open. So...Who's using this kind of thing? Help me understand.

2 AntwortenThose are just Bungie employees and friends making money on the side. Heck, I know a person at Bungie headquarters that has access to the Emblem Code Generator and used to get emblem codes all the time and sold them on Ebay. There is a lot of 'illegal activity' among the Bungie staff.

A friend of mine got paid via Ebay to get some guy the Harbinger title, all of it, while he was paying another guy to get him the Undying title. It was wild. If you dont have time to play, why would you be interested in paying someone to play for you? Seems a little nuts to me... youd have all this stuff and have no idea how you got it or what was going on.

Either would have to disappear for the thing to disappear, or alternatively bungo would have to make the thing not work. From another tangent: what someone does with their time is their business, what someone else does with his money is his business, and how bungo moderates the platform bungo owns is bungo's business. I'd imagine the folks who're paying those sums either have so much money the sum's relative value to them is small enough for it to not be a problem, or it doesn't have enough value for them because it's not their money.

Bungie’s Destiny is largely played by unemployed adults that sell carry services to employed adults who want to go around with guns and titles they couldn’t earn. Bungie is cash cowing on frustrated individuals at all levels. That’s their business model now sadly. It’s also their doom. Well, at least many streamers and the like carry for money service providers are making a living. The downside is they lost the vast majority of their players for good. Worst, they decided to design the game almost exclusively for PC” now and made it “hackers-friendly” So imho the people who pay a player when they can simply go for private lobbies or $20 2-day DDoS or the like service are plain stupid, especially when even in the worst case scenario that one player has been caught cheating, he/she will simply not be able to access said activities for 2 weeks to 2 months, knowing that after that period he/she will be able to profit from unfair loots or titles he gained whilst cheating. Got to be quiet dumb to pay someone so many more times for something one can do much faster and cheaper by himself. But hey, bungie’s Players base is kind of unique...

Guns aren't gonna make you a boss player. I mean shit, I've been known to drop 100+ at the bar on a Friday night. If someone wants to throw that 100 at someone else to do 7+ hours of -blam!-, I kinda get it. I personally would rather play and earn it, but everyone's got different priorities. I laugh at the people who do the actual work. Like seriously, 100$ to get mountain top? The 2100 points is nothing. But getting all the multi kills and medals and stuff. That's like... Hours and hours of work. You get like what, 10 bucks an hour to do tedious bullshit? Lmao just get a job. It can't possibly be worth the effort.

Items cost so much because of the time. Something like GS which is the biggest one the prices are expensive because their like 4 admins that sit and do nothing all day and make more than the average American household.

1 AntwortenThe practice & service itself isn't illegal, but since it breaks almost every games ToS and usually employs illegal tactics like ddos, recoveries especially are seen as illegal - which you are on the hook for later on when discovered. The fact Bungie has let these sites use their trademarked assets to solicit services for so long only leads me to believe they are in bed with them.

Not only is outright dumb but its against the game's ToS and LSLA. Bungie could and should file lawsuits against these guys unless they have gotten written consent from Bungie to do this. However Im highly doubtful of that. Anyone who reads this post and does end up using one of these services, ask if they do have consent. If they do then fine go for it. If they dont, I advise not taking part in something that can have legal ramifications at any given time.
