Lol, I love you trying to find reason in nerfs
Reading about Grenade Launchers:
"slightly reduced their effectiveness on Powerful enemies to give other weapons some more breathing room."
Why.
You nerfed Sleeper.
You nerfed Rocket Launchers.
You nerf everything.
What breathing room are you opening up? All the other choices suck!
This game doesn't have a trading system, or any form of economy to put value on things. You need to stop treating the game like it has one of those things in place.
Raids are already at a comfortable level. You bottlenecked us into multiple damage phases on a lot of bosses unless everyone in the fireteam has a god-tier loadout (I ADD ONTO THIS BY SAYING WHY BOTHER GETTING SAID LOADOUT IF YOU'RE GOING TO NERF IT AND COMPLETELY DEVALUE EFFORTS).
Why do you feel constantly compelled to change things?
Why do you half-ass "address" actual problems like your pathetic loading times but you still have time to rebalance all this crap that [b]NOBODY[/b] asked for?
And now we'll find some new PvE meta (if GLs don't end up staying on top) and it'll last several months before you're like:

I shall explain it YET AGAIN.... *1-Bungie - introduces an exotic weapon or pinnacle weapon *2-New exotic or pinnacle - locked behind a time killing grind *3-players go for new weapon because YouTube streamers deem it "beastly" *4-1st wave of players gets new weapon. Use it in Crucible *5-whiners and criers decide to play on even ground. These players either do the grind OR....OR!!! PAY FOR SHAREPLAY runs *6-Bungie looks at usage numbers...20% or higher = next season's nerf *7-RINSE and REPEAT *** expect that exotic "leak" to becoming any day. I suspect an OP arc sword locked behind a long grind. I also suspect a different weapon that will be stupid good in Trials ***

2 AntwortenIt is typical Bungie. At some point, players begin to realize that "We're listening" means "We are monitoring every possible META/glitch content creators can find so that we can nerf/patch it..." Bungie doesn't give 2 shits about the 'community'.

6 AntwortenThey do this a lot. They use fluffy language to trick people. It works, which is sad. Remember when they completely changed Eververse and used language like, “we want to give players more choice and give them direct paths to getting the cosmetics they want. So, we’re doing away with the prismatic matrix and separating cosmetics from gameplay.” I was all like: “this sucks and Eververse is going to ruin this game. Only buying cosmetics from a vendor is lame.” And nearly everybody replied: “oh my gaaaaaawd you can’t even read we’re about to get more options and bright dust is easy to get right now so everything is fine and you’re stupid!” So... yeah. The fluffy language does work.

5 AntwortenAll I'm going to say is people, you were warned about ratty sock pajama lady. Her answer to balancing for Trials (yes I know this is PvE, but trust me it's just them breaking the ice for the nerf train that's picking up steam) is to go back to D2 vanilla levels of balance. I hope I'm wrong! I really do, because if Bungie plans on screwing the entire game for balancing Trials a second time I don't plan on hanging around.

They nerf something because it’s good, so when people use the next best thing bungie nerfs that as well, then when people start using the next-next best thing, bungie goes ahead and nerfs that too. It’s a never ending cycle of nerf after nerf. Essentially the complete opposite of power creep.

If they wanted to make other weapons competitive, Say it with me now -blam!-ING BUFF THEM THEN. Nerfing has its place yes, but when everything is being nerfed down, it kinda defies the whole act of rebalancing doesn’t it? People will just start using something else. Then that’ll get nerfed. Cycle repeats.

6 AntwortenLol and so the cycle continues in an effort to make people play older irrelevant parts of their game in place of new content. Guys, whisper is the beeknees - snipers wreck bosses! Bungie - lets nerf whisper. Guys Swarm of the Raven is the beesknees in Crown, lets all get it. Bungie - lets nerf GL. Guys, Mountaintop/recluse combo wrecks in pve raids and is great in pvp (being 2 pvp pinacles it should). Bungie - lets nerf recluse and reloading in rifts to nerf mountaintop. Etc etc infinitum - handcanons, fusions, rocket launcher, supers, grenades, scouts, machine guns. I wouldn’t mind if they brought in new content with new weapons that created a new meta by evolution. But this constant nerf bullshit is pathetic

1 AntwortenThis shit is the reason I put D1 down and never went back, they literally base these nerfs on how much a weapon gets used, it sickens me and makes me resentful of a game I love to play. They seem to really want to drive us into PVP next season.

So nobody at Bungie ever thought "maybe we buff linears, fusions, and shotguns in PvE to give people more variety". Bungie is so lazy that they'd rather nerf Snipers and GLs than buff everything else. And this is why I'm actually done with the game. Gonna play Warlords of New York .

5 AntwortenAnd now we have come full circle with the nerfs. It happened exactly like this in D1 to where slowly over time nothing was super powerful anymore and everything was nerfed to a shell of its former glory. This is the repeat that I have been saying will happen for over a year now since the whisper nerf was incoming. Bungie brings in powerful guns only to nerf them, and then soon after nerf the next thing that takes its place. I’m honestly not surprised anymore with these nerfs cause this is basically history repeating itself 2 years later after it happened in the last game.

This is the Sandbox team. They have no control over the networking issues or optimization issues that you're unhappy with. Its not appreciated by the player base as a way of keeping the game "fresh". Its experienced as OVER-CONTROLLING, and as a source of frustration. I don't agree with the notion that everything needs to be nerfed into the ground to make raids and high level content difficult, but the nerfs from this TWAB were not excessive. 1. Izanagi's Burden received a nerf to reload speed, not damage (yes, snipers got a nerf, but not Izanagi specifically). This gun will still be dominant in Ordeal Nightfalls for it's ability to do high burst damage in a single shot, it just won't be the king of DPS as a Special weapon anymore, which I see as a good thing. 2. Grenade Launchers have been dominant in the PVE meta ever since Joker's Wild making all other Power weapons pointless. This nerf will still allow Rapid Fire Grenade Launchers to perform well, but not be the ONLY option. I'm looking forward to having other DPS options such as Linear Fusions. Other than those two things, the only other PVE nerf was to snipers overall. I personally don't think that nerf was necessary, but you can be certain that Snipers will still be used as top tier options for DPS.
