Destiny 2 lately has been causing a weird distorted rainbow effect, or an oil slick mixed water effect, or a smashed TV effect especially when there is a lot going on on the screen at once. I'm afraid this is a bug that's going to burn out my TV. This only happens when playing D2, no other game does this to my TV.

Back in Destiny 1 my tv had the Titan striker sprint blur burned into the screen from shoulder charging...

This will do this if you try to havethe her settings turned on.

Not experienced this on my 4k TV at all...

1 AntwortenDo you know if turning hdr off for the game fixes it? I have a 4k tv as well and would prefer that to not be broken lol

My tv only does it right before the game loads into the character screen. It is the PS4 connecting to the tv, and setting up HDR. Could be the tv making the adjustments. I’ve never had it happen while in game, just the once every time it loads.

Came here to hear about how you smashed your tv.... I was wrong

1 AntwortenI just saw someone else questioning this on the forums. Something about “rainbow pixels.” Might be worth Bungies attention for sure.

This explains a lot I just thought it was something not connected properly to my TV.

2 AntwortenMy TV was doing that same thing and I had to go into the settings and fool with the HDMI port settings. My TV can swap between and earlier version (1.4 I think?), a newer version (2.0), and auto detect. It was set to auto detect and I swapped it to 2.0 and it fixed it for a few days. It did it again and I swapped it back to auto detect and it hasn’t done it again. I’m not sure what the problem is or exactly how I fixed it but you may want to fool with the settings and maybe even get a new hdmi cord.

I thought my monitor was messed up and bought a tv to replace it.
