I've been away from Destiny for a few months, only getting on to see new story missions or do an odd patrol. I no longer feel that drive to do strikes or grind out Crucible to get a brand new pinnacle weapon. Anyone else feeling the burn out?
Edit: So uh this blew up. Did not expect that. In all honesty I love Destiny and I have been a fan of Bungie ever since I first played Halo 2 but recently I've lost a lot of love for Destiny as a game. I feel there's such an emphasis on the "you need to be there" mentality that Bungie is attempting to create memorable experiences by force. I first thought the season pass model would help the game but with no down time between seasons it feels like there is no time for the devs to make a proper content drop, instead resorting to a slow moving stream of content that leaves players unsatisfied and tired.

1 AntwortenI log in long enough to pick up gunsmith bounties, run them, and then typically log off. That usually gives me my “run jump shoot” fix, which is pretty much the only reason I play the game anymore.

Havent played in a minute, would sell my account if it didn’t have all my other steam stuff

I say I'm "burnt out" (or is it "burned out"? Hell, I don't know...), all the time, but it's not even that. I still like playing the game I guess, it's just become too predictable, shallow, and Eververse focused. I guess I just like hitting level 100 for the season then playing other games though. So it's really the best way for me to play D2...

Fairly burnt out, I slammed shadowkeep and was playing to an excess of 10-15 hours a week, grinding pinnacles. Now I log on occasionally for the exotic missions. That’s it...

Borderlands 3 and its deep loot pool has provided a welcomed break for me. I have enjoyed D2 for the most part, but for me... it has not aged as well as its predecessor. Seems more like Destiny Lite or a Chinese rip off of D1.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von blade329: 2/19/2020 4:54:44 PMNah, not really. I don't grind this game 24/7 like some people do. I'm at +17 on the artifact and season rank level 146. That may sound like a lot, but there some players that got that high after 2 weeks. If you play like that, no game can sustain you for that long. The only thing I'm a bit burned out on are Gambit and horde modes in general. The 21% Delirium and Python quest just killed my desire to pay Gambit for a while. I'm taking a break from that. Oh, wait, there is one other thing I am burned out with. I absolutely HATE the flood of junk gear I get in this game. I'll play three matches of Survival and get 10 loot drops. Nine of those will be useless blue gear and one junk legendary. I haven't seen anything in D2 this STUPID since forced double primaries.

4 AntwortenYup. Just can't bring myself to play the game anymore. Any game recommendations anyone?

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Divine_Majin93: 2/19/2020 5:03:48 PMNot burnt out. D2 just has too much content with little return on time investment after the first playthrough. And thats assuming the activity has an actual worthwhile weapon. Once you've played majority of the content once, progression wise, there's no reason to play it again. Content droughts sucked in D1, but I'll gladly accept less, higher quality, worthwhile content over tons of lesser quality, good for one playthrough content. Edit: spell check

5 AntwortenOnly things i'm playing for: Donating fractaline for weapons rolls Trying to hit legend

2 AntwortenBurnout of strikes with no strike specfic loot. Nightfall specific loot is trapped in y1. Cosmetics are terrible rewards for literally doing anything. No new iron banner gear to chase no reprised iron banner weapons like time worn spire. The artifact is literally pointless unless you play hunter or Titan. Still no vendor refresh. I'm still getting y1 elatha dropping when I could of gotten one with a random roll instead. Forge x weapons barely drop. still no thousand voices after 116 runs. Ohh did I mention I'm tired of fighting vex and cabal.

Me for sure. I’ve done another AC: Odyssey playthrough and played an unholy amount of cod, bf5 and battlefront 2 just this season but can’t manage to complete even a patrol mission in destiny

2 AntwortenJust bought the division 2. I can certainly think of worse ways to spend 3 bucks.

Kinda burnt out, just completed the battle pass. Now playing other games. To wait what they going to get me come back to next season. Or play Doom Eternal the whole time 🤔
-
Yeah I don't play anymore but I love to read the forums. It's hilarious
-
Y'know Bungie, all these players leaving the game should make you nervous.
-
I just do the seasonal Seal and quite till next season

It's been ok since I have been avoiding crucible. I was actually attempting IB, but sadly the assholes still have the -blam!-ing seasonal bullshit

Pretty much only log in any more just to do the weekly bounties and clan xp.

I wouldn't say I'm burnt out yet. I understood that trying to do everything would drive me insane, so I just go after the things I want and only do the activities I enjoy. After I finish them, I usually play a different game. The armor 2.0 grind was really hurting my enjoyment, but then the Obelisks and all of this Fractaline came along. Ranking up the Obelisks has given me some great rolls on the returning weapons and I've gotten almost full sets of the Righteous Armor with the right stats and elements for each of my characters. Going to donate this week's batch and then put the rest back into the Obelisks to finish my armor sets.

Have rarely logged in to D2 for the last few weeks. Been having more fun farming legendary items in BL3.

The process of carving out my gear has kept me going. I love competition, and learning new combat strategy
