Well, The ability to switch is finally here, 6 months too late with a cost that’s too high so no one will use it... again. If you’re so afraid of people using too potent of OP builds, then why make mods in the first place? “Make a monster killing machine, but nothing too lethal”. I much preferred Forsaken armor stats with ornaments.

9 AntwortenNo crucible updates or weapon balancing updates? Weekly downvote engaged. What more do you have planned besides swords? Where’s the transparency? Where’s the communication? Where the hell is the crucible team?! It’s been a week and all you had was swords?! Also this affinity changing price is BS. It’s a stupid compromise to something that shouldn’t have been on armor in the first place. You keep thinking that every time we criticize the upgrade and infusions system, you think that means we want something even tougher. Well you just did it. I’m going to bet the next season pass armor in the pass levels will be the most undesirable affinity but will have great stats and high energy upgrade to entice us to change the affinity. What the hell is the TWAB anymore?
-
You’ll soon be able to change the Elemental Affinity on any piece of armor to either of the other two Affinity types directly from the item’s inspection screen by hovering your cursor over the armor's energy icon. This is intended to mitigate the experience of getting an armor drop with a stat roll you want, but the wrong Elemental Affinity. Changing an armor Affinity type will cost 1 Upgrade Module. If your armor is already upgraded to a higher energy level, the cost will be the total upgrade materials necessary to reach that energy value plus 1 Upgrade Module.
Are you kidding me? The amount of materials you need to sink into armor is already too damn high, and you're asking for us to do that all again to re-roll the problematic affinity? Endgame content or not, that's just utter BS.

We hear you and we are going to -blam!- you more. Thank you so much for this latest installment of the twab.

10 AntwortenWait wait wait. So for armor affinity, if I have a piece already upgraded, I have to spend another ascendant shard, another 3 prisms, a few more cores and an extra module to change its element??????? I’m sure that this is to prevent players from constantly swapping afffinitjes but MAN is that a steep cost to fix a system that sucked by design because it was too grindy...

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Lull9: 2/14/2020 11:15:08 AMSo the more you have ALREADY invested in an armor piece, the MORE it costs. I already pretty much gave up on seriously chasing/building much of anything for armor 2.0, but I guess I can be even less interested/engaged. Well done. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PUNISH YOUR PLAYERS SO MUCH?
-
Cozmo, even though we shouldn't be changing Affinity too often, this change is "one step forward, two steps back." Think about it. For the ability to "play how we want" with the weapons we want, we have to spend what amounts to hours of playtime just to change ONE piece of armor. Why don't you meet the Community halfway with this one? Make the cost one Upgrade Module per level of armor upgrades? A MasterWorked piece of armor would cost ten Upgrade Modules to change. This way, you keep the choice "meaningful", but don't make it too ridiculous to the point that it's not worth doing at all.

Good to see some QoL changes coming next season.
This week at Bungie, we had to fix the timeline . . . again.
An attempt to appease by increasing the grind wont make people happy...

I like it! At least for future drops we can decide early on at a reasonable cost to change the affinity. The armor pieces that I already chose to fully masterwork will just stay as is. I do need clarification on the mods though. Will there be a more detailed description of the new mod system?

2 AntwortenWhen are you guys ever going to get it right??
-
Once again shall we, one step forward and two steps back!!!!! It's like a bloody dance routine!!!
-
15 AntwortenGo read the patch notes of Borderlands today. A free event and list of adjustments and fixes that's longer than the whole of D2 since day 1.
-
I love how everyone is focusing on the negative of the affinity, something I didn’t personally care about and not celebrating the absolute win about seasonal mods!!!
-
9 AntwortenJust remove elements on armor There's literally no benefit. I can't use shotgun scavenger and handcannon dexterity if I want to. Remove it Also, we need more sources of Pinnacles, Ascendant Shards and Enhancement Prisms. If not, add Matchmaking to the 950 nightfall

3 Antworten
This week at Bungie, we had to fix the timeline . . . again.
So it costs to,change the element on masterworked armor costs you the same amount of materials used to masterwork it...... Serious lack of cognizant thought in bungle world, and you wonder why the strong dislike expressed here
-
3 AntwortenA pathetic attempt to fix an issue that shouldn’t exist, and I’m sure it will cause massive issues down the road that cause you to roll back your servers every week. The fck is wrong with your decision makers? Don’t make changing affinities so shitty.

5 AntwortenI want to start off by giving Bungie credit for actually acting on feedback instead of simply smiling and nodding. I understand both the desire for the affinity system as well as the cost for changing upgraded items. The system exists to allow a wide range of builds, but keep certain OP combinations from occurring. I won't pretend to know what those combinations could be. But based on the rage over meta PvP loadouts I'm sure they exist. And the reason for the high cost of changing an item with an 8, 9, or masterworked power level seems pretty obvious. They don't want people three months from now swapping the affinities on those items on the fly mid-raid for the cost of small order of fries. The idea is that when you invest those resources into an item you're making a commitment to that item as it is. What I would suggest is that Bungie offer one free, or very cheap, affinity change for every piece of armor we already have. Make the scaling cost kick in only for new armor that drops after season 10 starts. What actually concerns me is one line...
...will also be able to use mods released during the Seasons before and after the armor piece was released.
Does this mean ONLY immediately before the release? Can we use season 10 mods in season 8 armor? Season 11 mods in season 9 armor? Season 8 mods in season 11 armor? Because this seems like a needless restriction if that's the case. Hopefully this slot will be open to any seasonal mod, not just +/-1.

Although it is a step in the right direction, the cost to change the elemental affinity is way too high and will drive more people away from the game to other games where their time is better invested and respected. At the moment it feels like there's a big middle finger coming from Bungie to the players but let us not forget, it's our money you're after and our time, both of which are limited. The way I see it is I have X amount of money and X amount of hours in my life before I die, why should I spend it on a game where I'm being shafted all the time?
-
"Changing an armor Affinity type will cost 1 Upgrade Module. If your armor is already upgraded to a higher energy level, the cost will be the total upgrade materials necessary to reach that energy value plus 1 Upgrade Module." So when I have a masterworked (exotic) armor piece it means if I want to change the affinity I will basically reset it and have to masterwork it again from 1 up to 10? So although I already invested hard work and time into it I have to do it again? This is something I already know a lot of players in the community will not appreciate!
This week at Bungie, we had to fix the timeline . . . again.
Pretty ballzy with elemental armor change requirements, especially after 2 major patch fails and self admittance to having a POS IT environment Good luck with your new endeavors at mickey d’s

One weekly downvote for Bungie's executives. Two weekly downvotes for the censorship overlords.
-
WTflyingF....just remove Affinity. Why all the roundabout bull💩...
-
Changing elemental afinity......what a joke. This is only good for new drops that haven't been leveled up yet. Whose great idea was it to charge an insane amounts of mats for already masterworked or higher level gear?
-
I didn't bother with the armor, I'm pretty sure most others didn't either and your data showed that. (hence the change) Is the change enough, maybe. Three sets of end-game armor that last for the rest of the game's life cycle sounds a lot better than 3 sets every season and now I can swap out to take that 2/3 chance it's the wrong element out. Certainly more appealing than it was before anyways.
