Forgot about the Shinobu's Vow cheese in Crimson Doubles
After getting steamrolled and BMed by teams of Mindbender Shinobu-spamming Hunters last night, I honestly have to ask two questions about the PvP community.
1. Do you guys actually want competition, or do you want stats and loot?
2. Will you guys suck the fun out of ANYTHING in order to get an advantage?
If people sweat this hard over Crimson Doubles, imagine how bad it would be if Trials would return.
Edit: Had another hour or so of the playlist for bounties. Seems pretty much everyone is unnecessarily sweaty and/or toxic. Kind of ironic, considering the theme.
I do thank the people giving advice to use Riskrunner, but it didn't help against getting rushed constantly by Chaperones.
Edit 2: I don't know what some of you think I am, or think I'm trying to say.
1.I'm not a tryhard, and don't like to have to sweat my face off in every playlist, this included.
2. I'm not telling anyone to not use this type of stuff, but just to not be a-holes about it.

I main a hunter and totally forgot about it. Didn’t use it. I went with a bow, Monte Carlo and a ton of strength mods for throwing knives to keep apes off me. Had fun for a bit but didn’t run into any hunters making a bad name for the rest of us... mind you I’m done with Crimson Days as I have the loot I wanted (that sweet dance!!). Got the bow last year.

29 AntwortenYou are aiming your hate at the wrong crowd. Pvp players aren’t playing like this. It’s the pve players who come out to play the event: the same toxic pve players who hack and use network manipulation to “prove a point.” I had multiple games Tuesday night where players where running these cheap loudouts to have them message me after the game and say something like, “I hate pvp so I’ll run whatever I want to make my opponents hate it too.” Ever since D1 the pve playerbase has been super toxic. No one wants to help each other it’s all must have this, 100+ clears, KWTD or be kicked etc. Then these same players play pvp for IB or special events and use all cheese loudouts. If anything I would say the pvp community is way more chill than the elitist pve community. Pve is ruining Destiny.

13 AntwortenThe fusions changes honestly can’t come soon enough... can’t wait too see all the complains on the forums going on about... “my fusion is trash now!! , my fusion isn’t a sniper anymore!! , my fusion can’t be used as a crutch!!” I’ll still continue to ape around with a balanced shotgun since I only HAVE a 1 - 9m kill range... non of this 33m + garbage. Doubles is cancer

Green ammo scavenging feeding into non stop ohk shotguns/fusions/snipers converse hold supernova spam instant recharge shoulder charge killing tracking helms/wall hack bow and the worst....the god awful match making Trials is going to be a shit show. The only people that will enjoy it are those meta-ing as hard as they -blam!-ing can to win.

Player a few games with a buddy. 3 games in a row same two hunters. One ran shinobus vow with not forgotten, a sniper and wardcliff. The other ran Gemini jesters with spare rations and mindbenders. First game we lost out right. Second game we did a little better and they started bagging. Third game we won. Had to go after that but before I did sent one a message "gg." Get back a couple hours later from the other "dont message my teammate after ONE win. Gg though." You cant even try to be nice anymore.

That’s the issue pvp has faced since Day 1 and the pvp competitive community hasn’t wrapped their heads around it yet it seems. You give players space magic, synergies and loot to chase and you expect...some gentleman’s agreement? Are you just intentionally ignoring that Destiny, by it’s nature, [i]cant[/i] be balanced and fair? So why would players handicap themselves? You want competitive pvp, go find a game that [i]can[/i] deliver it. Get over it. If you guys did Bungie wouldn’t nerf shit into the ground and ruin pve.

1 AntwortenMy suggest is don’t take too seriously in pvp d2, because many sucks in here, everything is sucks in my oppion, match making, map, super, weapon, community even the developer them self is sucks. They failed to build a pvp fair play competition. Fair play in weapon, super, player skill, networking, all of them is sucks. Just enjoy the game dont think about win or lose, just try to get point and finish the bounty or pinneacle weapon if u can. If u can’t forget it. Thats my oppinion, after played d3 for almost 4 years. 🙂

Thank you I had the exact same feeling. So far my matches have been against sweaty unbroken hunters with stomp-ee5 and shinobu's vow being extremely toxic. All I wanted to do was finish the event since I missed out last year but I swear every match is the same exact thing over and over.

Its fun to spam skip nades around the corner nonstop and see them doing dmg. Its just extremely strong in doubles and thats life. Something is always strong or good somewhere what ya gonna do.

Try 2 hunters with the same load out, unbroken, and with erentils now that was annoying 🤯

4 AntwortenYou should try crimson doubles in PC It’s literally all warlocks with contraverse supernovas that recharge in like 10 seconds.... And with MnK it basically means that If you get within 20m of them you die because they have pin point accuracy lol

People come here to use good loot and space magic. What do you expect players to do, play to lose? If facing that bothers you, you might just be in the wrong game. So, you can choose to be a Cruci-wimp and beg Bungie to make the game easier for you, or you can learn from the experience and become a better player. There's nothing these guys are doing that you can't do yourself.

Both 1 and 2. Anytime there is some sort of bug, glitch, or exploit that can be used to garner an advantage (For both PvE and PvP), it will become the popular tactic to use. I mean just look at the Recluse debacle. Recluse was top-tier, and other SMG's still great, but because they couldn't compete they would be deemed "worthless". If it can't push that end-screen number higher, it's garbage. This is turning real soap-boxy, but it feels to me like a mentality shift in video-games over the past decade where the value in games have turned from genuine accomplishments to arbitrary completion rewards. Plenty of titles are amazing at genuine experiences though.

I have no idea, as in no clue on this entire -blam!-ing planet, why they brought back such an ill-received gamemode. Crimson doubles was bad last year. Revelry was worse. Both were terribly recieved due to ability spam (something complained about even in normal crucible), which was brought back 10 fold. This gamemode is a cancer on this game, and the fact that they keep pushing "Event" (read: braindead ability spam) iij n this direction is a total turn off. Theres nothing fun about about being ability spammed to death.

16 AntwortenI faced a Shinobu's Vow 2-stack like this on Gambler's Ruin just yesterday. Both had NF and DRB with one of them having like 4k PvP kills on his DRB and about 2.5k on his NF. Both were spamming skip grenades non stop, apeing and tbagging. We still beat them in the tiebreaker. Dude messaged me right after that calling me and my random partner cheesers because we also had started spamming grenades on them and basically cutting off their corner sliding and apeing. Guess people don't like a taste of their own medicine 🤷

1 AntwortenKnock on wood, but I played for a couple hours last night and didn't run into a single one of the Shinobu spammers. Actually, I didn't run into many hunters at all. Which I was really surprised about. Granted, I was playing on my hunter but that's because it's my favorite. Not that I was taking advantage of the event. The worst thing I came across was a team of two Sentinel titans who would camp together to continuously spam suppressor nades and snowball supers. Oh and using Jotunn. I really hate that gun. We played against them a couple times because they broke our winning streak by such cheesy methods. They beat us. Then we beat them. And I wanted to go for best two of three. And what happens? It comes down to sudden death and they pop a dang bubble on the point. Like...that was the most anticlimactic ending. Was a bummer. And then of course they left. If you guys are out there, you suck!

Healing rifts and barricades directly counter skip nades... Also riskrunner counters it. And double instakill lightning nade is more OP in every way.
