I enjoy D2 but lately, I feel really burnt out. I don't know what else to say.

2 AntwortenThats why I took a break and even then seeeing no changes and some of the same complaints is disheartening.

43 AntwortenI'm not feeling burnt out, but I'd be lying if I said I'm not starting to see that with many in the commuity as well as my own social group. I haven't raided with my clan in over 4 weeks, nobody seems to care. I'm also seeing most community (for lack of a better word) leaders not doing much, Destin Legarie from IGN has been complaining that he doesn't feel the need to log on. Datto is apparently down to playing less than 8 hours a week. There is a real problem keeping people engaged and I don't think arbitary grinds are the solution, I think it's part of the problem. The purpose of the grind is the sense of achievement for reaching the end of it, however through the artifact we've not only had the overall pointlessness to the grind shoved in our face, but even more dangerously we're being introduced to the concept of the fruits of that grind being taken a way. Why would you care about powering up your artifact when you know it's going to disappear? Why would you invest in gear and materials for builds that are time limited? My main is hunter, I'm one item away from being hardcap, I've been one item away from hard cap for 3 weeks. If I get the item next reset I get to enjoy being hardcap for about 3 weeks. At which point the hard cap becomes the soft cap and my clan mates who have barely logged on in a month will be able to catch up to me in one night. So what's the point? What's the point in doing the pinnacles? What's the point in leveling up the artifact? What's the point in doing any of it? I feel like Bungie don't understand the difference between putting stuff in the game for you to do, and compelling you to do stuff in the game. I also have no idea why transmog is not a thing is this game, we're playing a loot based game where everyone pretty much looks the same with handfuls of variation.

If you play too much of anything it gets old so id recomend just taking a break my man.

3 AntwortenDestiny 2 is a chore. You'll play it some nights even when you dont want too, just so you dont fall behind. You'll grind for stuff you will never use, or get bored half way through. You must ask yourself, is this how you want to spend your time? Your life? Have a think ....

10 AntwortenMan I’m already bored with the content, I’m 992 and each week waiting for the weekly bright dust- after that I’m trying to do the triumphs for the score( currently 118.450) but each day I’m wondering if this pleases me to do it or is just the same old habit that can’t let it go.... I think the spark is lost, the content is irrelevant and there is no respect for the veterans

2 Antwortenseems bungie is also burnt out developing content

Bearbeitet von VEXTERMINATOR-btd203: 2/10/2020 9:12:30 PMI wonder sometimes why Bungie (or any developer) reads some posts over others, considering there are thousands of things to read.🤔

11 AntwortenStop playing for a month, then come back. Problem solved.

1 AntwortenI got my character to the maximum base light of 970. Now I am just picking up most bounties and just play things that I like to play or help out clan mates or random players on LFG. Sometimes when there is an exotic or special weapon or armor to play for again then of course I will get it. So lately I have been playing PvP a bit more because that never really gets boring.

I commented yesterday but it got buried that I officially took a break. Thank you all for your advice. I'm probably only going to log in on resets to donate fractaline because I don't want to shortchange the community, but that's it. No more obelisk investments or bounties or anything else that feels redundant. Next season I'll give it another shot. I just hope its not more of the same.

Bearbeitet von blade329: 2/10/2020 3:50:08 PMI'm feeling a bit burned out myself in PvE. Little things are really starting to annoy the hell out of me. This avalanche of blue loot and constant trips back to the post office are wearing on me more than anything. And with the slow travel time to the tower? It's all starting to piss me off. It's amazing to me that a AAA title like Destiny has no tools to make maintenance easier. Then Bungie continues this nonsense with donating Fractiline 10 at a time for the Empyrean Foundation event. Yet, the obelisks let you do 50 at a time. Are you kidding me with this? Then there are the horde modes. I'm really losing interest in these. Black Armory, Reckoning, EP, Menagerie, Sundial, etc. The bulk of this game is horde modes. I like some of them, but after a while it gets old.

8 AntwortenDo you feel obligated to certain tasks when you play? Just do what you want. Find a raid if you wanna raid. Find a team for competitive if you wanna increase your glory rank. But don't feel obligated to go get every single bounty and complete it because of some desire to increase the season pass. Just have fun bro. Maybe play another game at the same time you play Destiny so that when you don't feel like grinding there is something else for you to enjoy. I personally enjoy playing with friends, so I have maybe 5 of 6 different games I switch between depending on what my people are on. Just gotta remember to have fun bro; the progress from this video game doesn't translate to real world achievement.

Doesn't help that all of the "new activities" just feel the same as everything else. Where playing it more than twice starts to drag on. On top that...the seasonal quests for the emblems and shaders. Especially the Vanguard one...does anyone actually enjoy doing that many strikes over and over and over? The Corridors of Time was a decent distraction...and now it's just farming Fractaline from the same old activities and same old bounties. It's boring now...I find myself less and less willing to play. Not when other games are doing better. I want to like Destiny again...but right now...it's hard.

I've always maintained that Destiny 2 has always had TOO MUCH content and little reason to grind most of it. You see it now more than ever with their focus on temporary filler content. Its just hard to be excited over filler. D1 content droughts sucked. But I'll be damned if I didn't look forward to any sort of new content and play the hell out of it. All I do now is basically grind Bright Dust and hit up a seasonal weapon farm to get that easy dime a dozen god roll now. Quality over quantity. Destiny 2 chose quantity it seems. They've driven Horde Mode style content into the ground.

2 AntwortenStop playing. Problem solved.

12 AntwortenTry to load into the tower. It will be a long enough break to feel refreshed.

3 AntwortenYou’re just STARTING?!?!?! Damn bruh. Where’ve you been the last year and some change? This game continues to get worse by the day.
-
1 AntwortenI know what to say! Take a fucking break!
I enjoy D2 but lately, I feel really burnt out. I don't know what else to say.
That's on you. You play almost every day and you play a lot of activities. What did you expect? Why not allow yourself a break from the game? It's not like bungie are gonna read your post and think "this dudes getting bored, we're gonna have to fast track that next dlc!" ;)
-
I just play other games. Satisfactory has a big update tomorrow, I’m hyped for that.
-
Season mas model sucks and the artifact is useless
-
i stopped Grinding PvE after shadowkeep, the game feels dead & repetitive, pvp is kind of a sh!t show as well, is getting pretty hard for me to enjoy Destiny, even tho i love the game
-
Take a break
-
2 AntwortenThe lull part of the season is when you should try other games, it makes for a more healthy experience when you do come back to this game
-
It’s a part time job now, love it or leave it
I enjoy D2 but lately, I feel really burnt out. I don't know what else to say.
Play another game and then come back to D2. It worked for me.
