...for the sake of their beliefs? In my opinion, no matter how abhorrent someone’s beliefs are, they do not justify violence.

1 AntwortenIt’s assault but it’s a damn risk I’m willing to take

2 AntwortenI've already had to deal with white supremacists in the past. I can easily say that they aren't going to be physically passive while they're chirping their brains out at you, especially if you're a minority like me. Back then in 2016, I wasn't nowhere near physically built as I am now, but now, I don't really see a problem knocking the lights out of a white supremacist if they physically assault me first. It would be a simple case of me defending myself. Others on this forum may not agree with my reasoning, but if you were in my shoes and a white supremacist decided to attack you all because of your skin color, would you just stand there and let them beat you? If so, I'm thankful that you're not in my shoes, because I would defend myself.

4 AntwortenViolence is always a last resort & it doesn't matter with who. Have you ever seen people being violent towards another on TV & suddenly said to yourself, "Wow, that dude attacking that person calmly holding a sign just made me realize he was right & I should follow his way of life!" It doesn't matter what it is in regards to, the attacker is not winning any converts. Seriously, why do you think "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar" is a wise saying? You are more likely to convince someone with a thoughtful, calm point, that also shows you listened to their points, then you are to convert them through violence.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Iron: 1/23/2020 3:54:33 PMWhen you're violent against people you believe are deplorable without any justification, you give those people a platform and a valid reason to complain against you. By being violent to white supremacists, you're really only helping them. They will have a valid reason to complain about and discredit you towards the common man and b. their friends and allies will rise up even more because they feel attacked. So punching a white supremacist will not do anything to "scare" them into submission Edit: All these people saying it's ok to punch a white supremacist and that they recommend it probably would run away so fast from a situation like that lmfao
-
Meh. Some people need to be punched in the face.
-
It depends on the situation. I don't like white supremacists. I don't like racism at all. But like any other situation there's a right time and place. Punching people just because they feel a certain way doesn't help them with their problem. It doesn't help you either. All you'll be doing is strengthening their position. If you're quick and easy to anger to the point where you're just swinging over words you have shown your enemy that you can be controlled. They have that over you. And when you're losing your temper they have their buddies recording you. Then they show it to other people and say "this [insert group of people] are uncivilized!" It's a way to manipulate more people into believing such terrible ideologies. But yes if a white supremacist is trying to harm you please defend yourself.

They are violent themselves, just look at what the guy in Charlottesville did. If you act aggressively, you can hardly complain when that same behavior is turned back at you.

Punch them in the back of their face

16 AntwortenIf a white supremacist is just standing around, doing nothing, then you probably shouldn't (and don't need to) go up and punch them. If they're up in someone's face harassing them and yelling their shitty beliefs, then by all means punch them. I wouldn't be particularly sad either way though, if someone punched a white supremacist.
-
should punching a black lives matter activist be acceptable?
-
If its a bad ideology societies should do whatever it takes to erase it.
-
Violence is like a necessary evil. When reasoning fails and the disruptive party refuses to be ignored, then force can become an option to get them to stop.
-
Unprovoked, no. If someone starts provoking you with that, yes. Do they deserve a platform at all? -blam!- no. Should they be censored by law? Debatable.

Bearbeitet von Swiftlock: 1/22/2020 9:28:12 PMOnly if it becomes acceptable to punch leftist extremists. I believe in fairness!

21 AntwortenAs much as I'd love to hurt supremacist, antifa and other crazed far left/right wing groups. If you start violence with them then you're worse than them.
-
5 AntwortenAs a white boi I demand this right. I then demand the right to punch the person who calls right wingers Fascists. Fascists were a political party popular in the 30’s and 40’s whose policy was literally left-wing socialism. Learn your history.
OK I don’t actually think it’s good to punch anyone other than a sibling who took your cookie. But my point about mislabeling people Fasciats stands.

Sorry, all out of salt.
-
No, unless provoked. Does not mean I have to be nice to him/her though.
-
Same as with any other nut jobs. No matter how much they may hate you for existing just be the better person and don't resort to violence. Just be prepared to defend yourself if need be. I've been in situations a few times where I've wanted to knock out these groups but I've walked away the better man thanks in part to family and friends.

6 AntwortenHow come racial attacks and slurs are only acceptable against white people and no other race? Isn't that the definition of racism?
-
Only if they are the aggressor and punch first. Then I would punch back in self-defense.
-
4 AntwortenWhy only white supremacists? Why not include black Hebrew Israelites? Or all the other supremacy groups?
-
Absolutely not. You should never put your hands on someone unless it is to defend yourself or someone else.
-
They are, unfortunately, well within their rights. Best thing to do is prove them wrong about whatever stereotypes they conjure up by being nonviolent and polite. As hard as it is
-
5 AntwortenDo we have evidence that confirms that they are 100% a white supremacist?
