Dear Bungie Team,
Please watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRwTOJKTuCc
I would like to add to the QoL improvement wishes - please make our vault bigger.
Simple mathematics
Vault size is 500 items
Each character can hold another 50 (5 x (9+1)) class specific armor items
Each character can hold another 30 (3 x (9+1)) non class specific weapon items
So worst/best case you can store both vault + characters a total of 739 (740-1) items (kudos to Hells_Assailent for correction). Sounds like a lot.
The game lists 144 Exotics (both weapons and armor), 459 white to purple weapons and another 1230 armor pieces for all three character types.
Even if we consider that majority is rubbish and you only wanna keep god or say your best rolls.
You are adding each season how many? new armor pieces and weapons? A dozen to twenty weapons? Two or three armor sets for each character class?
500 already would be few for one! character class let alone three.
Yes, maybe I don't need to store 10 rolls of every weapon I like. Maybe I don't need to store 10 rolls of a gauntlet with each element rolled for a given armor set.
Anyway. We are running out of space. Constantly. Dismantling items we otherwise might wanna keep but just can't due to space size. Dismantling Exotics also is only an option for weapons which can be retrieved back from the collections (with lower PL so destined to be infused again) as armor from collections has preset low stat rolls.
Quality of Life?
More vault space.
Suggestion?
Minimum 500 per character = 1.500.
The more the better.
Thank you!
Update:
Just thinking loud.
Aside of space and number of items stored.
Can we have a better sorting and grouping structure please?
E.g. sorting for powerlevel?
Separating weapons from armor from other items (ghosts, materials etc)?
And separating armor for each class (one armor section for Titan/Warlock/Hunter)?
Thx
Update 2:
Bungie must have data about players' time spent in certain activities.
So I would like to see - not expecting to get it however - how much time players on average spend managing their items (loot), in and out from vault, dismantling items day by day etc.
Time which imho should rather be spent in the actual game.
Yes, I like the tower and visiting Zavala and the bunch of other vendors but vault/item management is not my favourite game activity. I would rather spend my time running around and shoot things/accomplishing tasks/quests etc.

Bungie you're adding new set every season, but not increasing vault...

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Tk: 1/17/2020 10:11:49 AMHow about instead fully fixing the collections tab? 1. Be able to reaquire weapon perk combinations that you have aquired previously (game will need to record this). And we have seen with the avalanche machine gun that collections can show all possible perks on a gun. Just need to be able to unlock, select and retrieve combinations. 2. Remove elemental armor affinity 3. Add universal armor ornaments 4. Add a page on the consumable tab 5. Change shader tab into favourites or make them not be consumables anymore. 6. Auto dismantle blues option. Boom. Problem solved. No need to increase vault space ever. No need to micromanage shit. Spend more time playing the game.
-
I believe vault should be at least 3 times more than now. Agree
-
Been playing since day 1 and i have 278 items in my vault. And i still need to delete 30 stacks of shaders. And i need to decide between 20 or so dawning SMG's
-
I wish all the shaders fit in the page we had for them. Added two more with a event give everyone two more spaces. I know we can delete them but if the game wants to give me 300 I don’t want to spend 15 minutes holding dismantle even in batches.

2 AntwortenKeep what really matters and shard eveything else! Or use it as infusion fuel. You need shards and infusion fuel anyway.
-
1 AntwortenTossed a couple of viagra in my vault. Doubled in size.
-
Give each character their own vault just like they have their own postmaster and boom more vault space. Now can we move on from hoarders who keep EVERYTHING and on to more pressing matters like vendor refreshes, bringing factions back and who the hell has been feeding Cayde’s chicken because that poor thing looks like it needs a sandwich.
-
So true we need morespace for sure. Concerning the sorting, 3rd party apps like ishtar commander do a great job at this.

1 AntwortenSimply put, you’re keeping too much irrelevant shit in hopes one day when buffs and nerfs are handed out you can just go to your vault to quickly switch out instead of play the game. The performance of this game on console is already at an all time low. You can barely slot mods on armor anymore. The total inventory of the game is too much. Adding another 1,000 slots is only going to make it worse which is why I suspect Bungie wont do this. Whether you want to now make fun of console users or not, they are still more than 50% of the game. So their performance has to be taken into consideration. I wouldn’t hold my breathe for this change. You don’t need most of what you’re holding onto in the first place. I would rather see them revert back to static weapons and armor 1.0 if it meant I could get good game performance again.

More space would be nice, but definitely grouping options, such as by weapon type, and give us a list view option as well.

5 AntwortenPeople play for different reasons. Some people play to collect. I’m one of those people. The fact that they refuse to either expand the vault or make a working collection is frustrating. The fact that they half assed the collections and how ornaments work is also frustrating. People don’t seem to understand why vaults get filled up. It’s not cause people are keeping trash rolls on weapons. Weapons are only a small part of the space issue. The issue is redundant armor. Most of it can b turned into ornaments but isn’t because....? Correct that issue and most vaults will decrease by like 60%. The space issue isn’t hoarding, it’s a lack of effort on Bungies part
-
23 AntwortenThe people arguing against it is just plain stupid. Why do they care. It doesn’t affect them in any way. It’s sad
-
6 AntwortenOk, seriously, why do you guys constantly need vault space? Do you not have enough already? I’m not trying to troll, could someone actually, seriously, and politely inform me of why the current space isn’t enough? Like, can’t you guys clean out your vault? Exotics cramming space? Delete them, you have collections. Year 1 weapons and armor? Delete them, you have collections. Shaders, emblems, ghosts, ships, and sparrows? Delete them, you have collections. If players actually sifted through and deleted the stuff I said, they would have space.
-
What are you keeping all that shit for
-
Stop hoarding. There's plenty of room. Delete old stuff
-
3 AntwortenTired of seeing these posts. Delete shit...
-
Bruh that actually takes work, Bungie don’t care
-
4 AntwortenBearbeitet von A.S.A.: 1/17/2020 12:52:47 AMSorry, Bungie is running ad-block on these forums 😂 Edit: love how people say "stop hoarding" in a looter-shooter... Half the game or no game huh..
-
5 AntwortenThey have stated before it's due to memory and hardware limitations, while the standard PS4 and Xbox are still a thing it's probably not going to happen.
-
2 AntwortenI’m not sure it’s technically possible, they already have to remove content to make space to add more, but I’m no dev, it’s just what I’ve heard.

This is my top QOL update I hope for every season. I almost dread playing and having to decide which of my old gear gets deleted to make room for new stuff this week. There are another few options to fix the issue. Adding space seems like the easiest though. 1. Let us reroll elemental affinity on armor 2.0. I used to hold on to 1 of each armor piece and now I have to keep 3. 2. Make all aquired armor also unlock it as an ornament. 3. Let us save 1 roll in collections that we can reacquire of each weapon and armor. It could be as easy as choosing save to collections on the weapon or armor.
-
I'm at 499/500. Part of the reason I havent logged in for a week or 2 is because I don't want to play inventory management anymore. The other reason is because there is nothing fun or compelling or rewarding to do. I'm waiting for more story DLC or D3. Playing Outer Worlds and other stuff in the meantime. It's fun to have fun while gaming again, and not just doing a repetitive chore list.

3 AntwortenHonest question; why do you put so much in your vault and what do you store in it? I have maybe 100 things in my vault but rarely take something out to use it to be honest... sure i understand having random roles that can’t be taken out of collections, but i always wonder what players put in there let stand 500 or even want more....

Bearbeitet von Amazinite: 1/17/2020 6:53:16 PMI decided to clean my vault of all the trash armor I had the other day and I now have about 200/500 slots used. I only keep god rolls or weapons close to a god roll (until I actually get the god roll for that weapon). I also have all exotic weapons in my vault (save for Tarrabah) and I save stuff like the notes from Cayde or the ramen coupon or those diary entry things from Warmind. I’m never running out of space. How other people do is beyond me. Edit: in total (vault and character) I have 62 exotic weapons, 99 legendary weapons, 1 common weapon (Traveler’s Chosen (Damaged)), and 59 armor. Then for just the vault aside from weapons and armor I have 1 ghost shell (Last Safe City (Damaged)), 15 useless items like the ramen coupon and Cayde notes, 4 stacks of Gambit synths, a stack of Calus tokens, a stack of Vanguard and a stack of Crucible boons, and a stack of runs finders from Season 7. Even if I put all my weapons and armor stored on my characters into my vault, it only takes up 221/500.

1 AntwortenHonestly, what would correct this in some small capacity is the collections page. All exotics and weapons it actually allows you to collect should come out at your max level. Then I could delete all my exotic guns out of my vault. Why should I have to collect my gun, then waste an upgrade mod to get it to my current level? The system is broke.
