This happened to me the other day this was the first time. I think if you are to close when you cast it the knives backfire and kill you.

This actually happens to me with a frequency I'd rather not divulge. Do your best to avoid jumping near obstacles, as this will almost certainly guarantee a suicide. It's silly, but this is the best solution I've found. I really can't tell if this is a bug or a 'feature,' working as intended...

Huh, does that happen with any other super? Should be a warning in the description.

Lol, no I do not think so. I have Titan Warlock and a Hunter this was the first time it ever happened. I have died to my own Titan and Warlock grenades before though but never a super.

Odd. Grenade self damage I know of, but supers I was not aware.
