Here is a reflection of Gladd, I just share his words, but it is an undeniable truth

1 AntwortenHe is absolutely correct on every point but link a content creator on the forums and your post will go to downvote purgatory. People will see a name like Gladd or god forbid Datto and just say “streamer bad” with no further thought.

3 Antworten
My concern with Destiny right now is that it doesn’t really feel like the game’s content contains satisfaction for long-time, dedicated Destiny players.
Let's get something straight here. There is in no way a sustainable model to satisfy "long-time dedicated Destiny players".
I almost feel that “separation” again, and a pull towards a casualized model. Drip feed content/seasons seem drawn out and slow.
Drip feeding because otherwise, you'd've finished everything in a day and be bored regardless. Time locked events guarantee something to look forward to. Arguments against this being the value of these roadmap events not being substantial enough. The problem isn't the activity, it's the player's attitude and expectations.
Quests have become very short and easy to do. Pinnacle weapons even lost their name and don’t have unique perks like in the past. These same weapons become easier and easier to acquire each season. Grinding rank in crucible is easier and faster than ever, even for casual crucible players.
Pinnacle weapons were a problem, period. Having a Pinnacle weapon that is supposed to be the best of the best every season to grind for made all other normal weapons introduced next to it obsolete by comparison. How much did you use Recluse and Mountaintop, even after several seasons had passed? How much did they continue to over shadow everything season after season until they were dealt with? This isnt to mention that the players obtaining it first, have had an easier journey to obtain it vs those obtaining it later, being against those who already have significant advantage in using what is being sought after as an unofficial gatekeeper.
After day one, all raids become extremely easy and one phasing becomes a normal strat for lots of groups. There’s just no actually difficult content. Everything is easy. We are so over leveled in every activity compared to the combatants. Where’s that overwhelming feeling at? That feeling when stuff wasn’t fed slowly and we were able to go about activities as we please. When things were rough and had a difficulty to them. The idea of armor 2.0 and the artifact is great, but I sometimes question the execution.
Play on console then. Restrict yourself, and create your own challenges. This is not you're own personal Dark Souls.
Overall, there are so many of us out there that live and die by the hand of Bungie and Destiny. We want challenging secrets. We want intriguing quests and grinds. When it feels like things are dumbed down and handed out to everyone, that passion fades... Give us that magic!
Secrets are for the unknown, and there is a point where the unknowns become known. From there you can only flesh out these stories and expand on them before the stories end. The problem with having secrets, and intriguing quests is that once everything is known, everything stops being just that. So then everything after has to be intriguing and secret? For how long? How long do we have until the final fight? It would've been fine if the universe expanded on itself, but it seems like everything is just closing in and collapsing. The only real way this "ends" properly paradoxically, is if we die and are sent back in time to the spot our Ghost found us.

Gee I wonder why. Maybe he should find something better and more fulfilling to do with his time. Is he scared he’ll have to get a real job or something?? He needs to move on

I agree that the “ritual weapons” are a huge step down in the game I. Terms of items to chase both in desirability which they are not desirable they are pretty trash. Atleast the dawn versions are, undying ones were ok but you can see them getting worse season after season. The leveling system is complete trash. I’m so tired of doing bounties. But this is what a Luke Smith version of Destiny is. If it’s not bounties(y3) it’s public events(Y1) the guy is just really bad at being game director and should step down for the sake of the community. The raids are fine imo. People rarely play and if it only take 40 minutes that is great. But you cannot judge the time to finish the raid by non life streamers who play 16 hours a day with other no lifers who play 16 hours a day. That is not a realistic opinion they have. The biggest issue imo is the lack of updating the world and game outside of eververse. And the removal of items only to have them represented to us as new content. No vendor refresh is killing the game. These fomo game modes with weapons leaving after the season is killing the game. The lack of effort in iron banner with the same armor and weapons for 3 years is killing the game. Bungies greed in limiting armor sets to push you to eververse is killing the game.Luke Smith neutering the sand box is killing the game. We don’t need more hardcore stuff. We need Bungie to quit this policy of abandoning the game for the eververse. And forcing fomo to get more money after they made $300 million dollars last year and putting no effort to show for what the community gave them. Basically STOP BEING GREEDY AND START DOING THINGS FOR THE COMMUNITY WHILE WE ARW STILL HERE.
https://twitter.com/GladdOnTwitch/status/1214988137702789121 Here is a reflection of Gladd, I just share his words, but it is an undeniable truth
Sorry, but Bungie catering to the smallest % of the player pool is never going to be good for the health of the game. Gladd speaks for himself: a content creator who plays the game for worlds first, speed run records, and for more hours per week than a full time job. It’s cool if he wants to give his opinion on the game in the context of how HE plays it. It’s meaningless in the context of how the majority of players play the game.
-
3 AntwortenFor the majority of players the opposite of what he says is true. Listening to players like him is why the game is where it’s at right now. It’s time Bungie listened to their player base and focussed on developing repeatable content that rewards players for their time investment. The days of Gladd and Datto are hopefully coming to a close. Bungie needs to focus on making games players want to play and not games Streamers want so they can earn a living by playing only 1 game.
-
8 AntwortenI had a long response but i think everyone else sums it up nicely. They game will die by catering to streamers.
-
3 AntwortenYou can see how he’d feel like that. When you are two manning the raid before the first 24 hours. Most players don’t have that skill level. Also on being too powerful now, so many people complained about only getting pinnacles at +1 light above and needing to get lucky to get that missing piece to hit the next lift level so gear would drop higher. So from the outcry from streamers and the hardcore grinders, that was raised to +2 drops. So now they’ve hit max light in 2 weeks instead of the whole season if lucky. They set up PvP so people will get to their skill bracket and then have to work out of it instead of having to be lucky not to get matched against top tier kill teams over and over who play most of each day. See constantly in the forums a lot of people stuck in a wide range of glory in PvP. Why? That’s their skill level. Sure, more people are getting to 5500, but that’s now to the fact they don’t have to see the top teams all the time, just when they make it to the top. More players will populate the playlists then knowing they have more of a chance to try to move up the ladder. Where as before, there was no point to put yourself into the mess unless you like getting crapped upon constantly. Streamers like Glaad put in what? Well over 60 hours a week because it’s a job for them. Of course you’ll run out of stuff to do after a few weeks. How/why would a company put in then, over the course of a season, more than 1000+ of content for that season when 99.5% of the player base can’t put that time into it. And that percentage doesn’t have the skill level to do all of that as quickly either. Even someone now who puts 30+ hours a week into it might run out of things to do. Then you could always do the tasks without using the gear loadouts that are meta to one-phase everything. You know, challenge yourselves. Or even spend the time taking no good scrubs on a full clear of a raid even if it takes 5 hours instead of 1-2 with your all-star team. Or do a stream stating some like, let’s see how many people I can kill with this random gun or with punches or grenades only, anything non meta or sweaty and make a montage of it. Sure you’ll hit a bunch of sweats, but who cares if you make a game of it yourself or in your stream. Or even for these streamers, make private matches with weird crazy rules and loadouts and play against your viewers for funzies. Or heaven forbid, just play Destiny 2 for say a little less and play something else for a bit to swap things up.

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von GallowsPole: 1/8/2020 11:00:16 PMCatering to these streaming morons who wont get a real job is killing this game. They’ll never be satisfied. Ever. I’m a long time Destiny player too. I just dont it for a -blam!-ing living. Bungie trying to appease these guys is ludicrous and quite frankly 🖕🏻them. It’s a never ending circle. WE WANT POWER! Then uses meta weapons to burn through content. GAME SUCKS! TOO MUCH POWER The game is getting bad. Ive gone from working on three characters to like 1 1/2. I used to have two other accounts too I played on. PS4 and PC accounts. Its becoming a job in itself to keep up with crap. Bungie started D2 bad. Tossed out every fix they made in D1 and just said bye to it. Dumb ass move. Then because of the streamers complaining, they moved the game towards the rpg side and now call it a mmorpg and dont have content nearly enough for one! Theyre stuck with this sandbox now and theyre going to screw us until their new IP comes out or whatever theyre working on. ARrrGGGGhhhhhHHHhHHHH lol

Down voted into oblivion.

-
I disagree. Gladd plays this game for a living and because of that he can can burn through content quickly. Most people have jobs and families and cannot play 18 hours a day, 7 days a week.
-
You sound just like a religious fanatic.
-
Undeniable BS!
-
Who cares.. The likes of Gladd were up Bungie’s arse at the time of SK launch. It’s only been 3 months ffs. Streamers who have been getting the views off the back of Destiny must be really feeling it these days.
-
Yeah, making the game more grindy and rewards more elusive would essentially chase off the few friends I have left in the game. And forget about attracting new players with that model. We need things that encourage greater engagement with the game - broader matchmaking, story mode raid options, less costly build crafting - not onerous design that appeals to only the elite player. There is much to like about this game. Hopefully the devs are giving some thought to how it can become a more inclusive and accessible experience for all players.

3 AntwortenIf he wants it to be “more difficult “ stop doing everything with stacked teammates. Try doing things with blueberries and see how “easy” it is.
-
Except there is difficulty. Master NF hunts. Doing the time trial one then. Doing it flawless. But since he is literally a top 1% PvE player we need content that’s hard for him, not the General playerbase right?

1 AntwortenThat one dude replying to dfp needs a punch in the face. "If you don't like your job then stop doing it"... How braindead are people?
