Unfair? The whole point of survival is to win and progress forward, not lose and go back Do you take it easy and let opponents win when you're winning? I don't think so, so why do you expect the same from others? Yes, Survival freelance is biggest bs matchmaking when 7/10 games you have 2 potatoes on your team and if you don't carry hard - you lose Regular Survival seems easier, but no guarantee that you won't be paired against 3stack of top 1% On the bright side I'll give you couple tips from personal experience 1 Just play and you'll reach legend eventually Progress comes not only with wins, but with experience 2 Treat Survival as opportunity to grow and become better player, every time you play against better players you learn 3 Find fireteam if it's hard to solo, there are lots of lfg ways, I don't know if you play on PC or Console, but you can easily lfg 4 NF is not as good as it was before nerf, if you play on console it maybe still valuable, but on PC it's useless

So i mean this in the most respectful way. But not every one is intended to get it. That was before Shadow Keep, I and many others came to terms with it. Now that being said, Bungie did change the glory system so it is obtainable with out being a top tier PvP player. I assume you are stuck in the same boat as me of just being "ok". It will take a fair amount of time for the PvP system to calculate your "league" as it can be obtained via grinding PvP. As the new system is set up in a way so players are more likely to be paired with you pending on your hidden score range. A great example of this is the 5000k glory bracket with 900 ELO. Yes these players do exist. How? The new system has hidden brackets is one way of putting it. Once you have played massive amounts, the system is better able to pair you with people in the same hidden score league. The down sides to this? Well it is no small number of games for the system to determine you belong in X bracket of skill range. A good visual aid too would be putting it as thus. -Legend Master, 4000 hidden score. -Legend Platinum, 3000 hidden score -Legend Gold, 2000 hidden score -Legend Silver, 1200 hidden score -Legend Bronze, 900 hidden score Now all these people are in the 4-5k glory area. But their skill is very different. One reason why Bungie may have not made this viewable to players like this is because it does not make any one feel good, especially if they are in the Legend Bronze league and obtained Not Forgotten. Well Good luck with the grind. I am going to see if I can go for it this season myself.

Comp(etitive) is meant to be played "as sweaty as humanly possible." Think of it as digital Olympics where you either win or go home. Everyone is playing by the same rules, so if your current set up is failing deliver wins, then you have to adjust and learn from your mistakes. My KD is only 1.08 lifetime, but I did climb that NF ladder last season.

How are they playing “unfairly” when you have access to the same items and gear they do?

You're complaining that people are playing competitively in a competitive mode. Just making an observation, that's all.
