After playing shadowkeep from day one I am still using my year one sets. It took some time to get my sets the way I want them. Now its impossible to find and design my new sets to match. F that. Who wants to spend the next year or better trying to find all the right perks with the right affinity. I feel that my legendary shards are going to pile up really fast.
Just saying.

2 AntwortenUse 2.0 armor to build good stats. Dont really care for mods. You really just need a few mods. If you don't have the mods, Armor 1.0 is generally better. I still haven't unlocked traction so i still use 1.0 boots with traction for the most part

1 AntwortenEverything they come up with is trash. They are such incompetent, greedy hacks.
-
1 AntwortenNot only what you stated but also the cost of materials to upgrade armor to fit mods for different builds is crazy. Freaking a disaster is Armor 2.FAIL

11 Antworten
After playing shadowkeep from day one I am still using my year one sets.
Year one sets suck. They don't even have any perks. I like year 2 armor more than year one and year 3.

9 Antworten2.0 does have major problems. It was sold under the idea of being able to 'play the way you want' but it does very little to that end. Since 2.0 I've given up on armor. It's farsical how you would have to end up with a multitude of armor sets if you wanted to have sets for certain activities and the grind is just a load of RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG, with a bit more RNG sprinkled on for good measure. Affinities are the worst, I could end up with 3 different sets for pvp just so I can use the mods I want to use, let alone the possibilty of different sets focusing on different stats. 2.0 could be improved, but honestly, the way Bungie seem to be sleepwalking through the development of this game right now I would be very suprised if this ever happened.
-
3 AntwortenIt’s widely known that armor 2.0 is bad news. Sure it has some benefits but bungie always has to add their own unique twist. That’s always a step down . They know the shit is bad that’s why affinity was never discussed prior to launch . Then we get shadowkeep — uh boys there’s specific mods that only work with specific burns . So as the idiots we are / we grind out the new armor and to find out that it’s totally pointless come next season. And the cycle continues . Every time bungie announces a new feature there’s always hidden bullshit they don’t announce that usually tarnishes the entire experience . It’s ok though - shadowkeep armor 2.0 has seriously cured my destiny addiction .

8 AntwortenSome of your year one sets are probably better. Try remaking a 2.0 helmet with enhanced hand canon targeting, heavy ammo finder, a recovery mod, and a striking hand mod. You’d need 19 energy.
-
Yes it is. It was done to nerf the enhanced perked 1.0 armor and also inflate the grind for each weak ass season.
-
1 AntwortenIt needs tweeked. The general idea is great, and even better than the last improvement. Problems that need to be fixed are. 1. Seasonal mods not fitting in prior seasons armor. 2. Elemental affinities with the mods are horrible. It's grindy enough to find the rolls you want. Much less multiple peices for different builds. So the added problem of finding these magical rolls is somewhat demoralizing when you find that good roll on the wrong affinity. This only ensures that if your like me, and like to run with different load outs throughout the day, your not likely able to have a good armor build for most of the day. Which for the most part just leaves me not bothering to even care half the time what armor I am wearing because it's just too much grind, and regrind to keep good rolled armor like I used to do with destiny 1.

40 AntwortenArmor 2.0 is the best thing to ever happen to this game. Whoever disagrees simply cant or doesn’t know how to make a good build
-
Bearbeitet von Tamacountry: 1/7/2020 12:47:53 AMTechnically it’s better then Armor 1.0 but the biggest issue though is the seasonal slots. It’s a built in mechanic that’s makes your Armor obsolete every three months, Why bother grinding for a full set if you need to do it again in a few months? The RNG is somewhat of an issue to. You finally get a 64+ stat piece of Armor with 28 Recovery and Mobility? Awesome but it’s the wrong element so you can’t put on the right skills. There NEEDS to be a way to change elemental types of Armor, EVEN if it only possible once per Armor piece there needs to be a way. The RNG grind for that perfect piece of Armor is astronomically low even though it’s obsolete is a few months

2 AntwortenArmor 2.0 is WAYY better than any old armor set system.
-
21 AntwortenArmor 2.0 is better in 99% of cases, the only things that are really worth using from older armor is those with specific sets of enhanced rolls. It's incredibly useful to be able to switch mods on the fly based on what activity you are doing.
-
I guess you haven't played around with it much, because it is so much better than 1.0. It allows you to test and experiment with new builds much better than the old armor. The mods allow you to make up for any shortcomings with stats. It's extremely flexible.

Here is the major question: Is it worth investing into armor 2.0? The answer for PvP players maybe yes. For PvE players... No. Why? PvE isn't balanced around armor 2.0 and the bonuses you get from them are minor changes at best while in PvP reducing cooldowns on skills/abilities with things like reduced flinch can make the difference in gun fights. PvE you get only slight increases to ammo acquisition and the super recharge doesn't matter because materwork weapon orbs will make up the difference. Plus, there isn't an activity out that makes you need to invest into a build, you can clear any content with ease if you have the gear score.

People who like to grind and like running a variety of builds.

Going for the perfect armour 2.0 build has been some of the most fun I've ever had in Destiny. Collecting the hive, taken and fallen mods, running old raids and iron banner for high stats, running nightfalls for exotics, and then putting all the pieces in their place for a decent build that'll hold me over until I find something even better. While some of the restrictions can be frustrating, in a way, finding ways to work within those restrictions is part of the fun. Affinities aren't great, but they've already explained why they have to exist, so simply letting us change it at least once on a given armour piece would go a long way I think.

Player experience is a huge issue in this game right now. Time consuming building. Mediocre rewards, No rewards for PvP players. (No Shards, high stat Armor for us) Take my Titan(My Main) All MW gear with Multiple builds. And mind you I do not play PVE in this game anymore. Why the hell would I MW all my alternates other gear when I’m not going use 90% of it? I had to literally force myself to run a crap ton of NF’s just to get all my Titans affinities gear MW. It’s insanity. Oh and btw PvE players complain about PvP Quest steps like 20 HC kills in the crucible? LMAO try being a PvP player and MW your gear without running PvE... The only materials you for running crucible is 10 MW cores at Legend reset. Which takes forever unless you 6 stack which is also apparently frowned upon because playing with your friends is a no no as well. SBMM doesn’t allow you to do that. This game forces you to run the sweatiest loadouts possible just to compete. (But QuickPlay isn’t SBMM!!!) Technically true.... BUT QP does have an in game match making algorithm that pairs the best players with the worst players imaginable. Like don’t even know how to turn on a monitor bad. .5’s, 0.2’s, .02’s and so on. It’s getting beyond frustrating.

I dunno man i kinda like having a <5 sec grenade cooldown, infinite shoulder charge melees while using a shotgun as my primary weapon. Never felt more like a titan in my life.

Bearbeitet von WP ScorpionWind: 1/7/2020 2:24:00 AMI finally finished masterworking my armor 2.0 set but even so I still can't use the mods I want because of armor affinity which is by far 1 of my two biggest issues with armor 2.0. This being along with the fact that stats and cosmetic appearance are not separated so I can't look the way I want and have the stats I want thus not allowing me to do what armor 2.0 was advertised to let me do, which is play my way. In fact armor 2.0 in forces me to play how Bungie wants me to and also makes it so in order to look the way I want to I have to either, grind the armor set I want to look like until I can get the stats I want (which would take forever in cases of raid or IB armor) or settle for buying one of their many cosmetic sets from the eververse store for real money (which I WILL NOT do) and use that instead.
-
Eh, it needs more work. 2.0 is great in concept, but very limiting as it is. The energy that some mods take are too great for what they actually worth. Dawn armor mods, in this case, fall into that category. They're too niche the majority of the time and you're better off using Undying armor instead. Let us not forget the handling mods which take up a lot of energy, but feel like they almost don't do anything to warrant their use. The general mod slot needs to not take up any energy to free up more energy for the other mod slots.
-
Agreed. Armor 2.0 sucks
