I’ve been playing since day 1 destiny and I’ve had some good times. I participated in everything that was offered up to this date and played through the games droughts and even secured some raid jackets. After all this I’m proud to say I am done with playing playing destiny for good.
I have recently finished Jedi fallen order and death stranding and realized these games respect my time and investment. With tons of cutscenes and an actual conclusion to storylines. I can play when I want not because I have to finish something before the end of a season. You say to yourself I paid for this destiny season so I better get my money’s worth. No screw that. This FOMO stuff is stupid af. And then you got these quests and bounties that take hours to finish when you could be making money or getting some -blam!-.
So for the people that have felt like playing destiny sucks it’s because it does. And I recommend playing a story driven game like fallen order to get yourself away from destiny and see it for what it really is. A HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

Destiny has never respected the time invested

37 AntwortenBearbeitet von RussellMania: 1/4/2020 7:42:06 PMThat's an extremely dumb comparison. Fallen Order and Death Stranding are single-player campaign games only. Destiny is a live-service, open world, looter-shooter, MMO, plus PvP. There is way more to focus on besides just story and cutscenes in Destiny. Have they done as good of a job as they could with those things? Probably not, but this is an extremely biased comparison.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von GabZoool: 1/5/2020 5:38:26 PMDestiny gameplay does not suck. Its still the best what the game has and better than other games. The feeling of weapons and so on. Its just the lazy content. Is it so hard to create a single strike, single PVP map each season tied to the season story ? A new patrol map every 2 seasons ? I would gladly pay more for each season if it had more content. Also the fact that each seasons horde mode takes most of the bungie resources and than after new season they ditch it. Its Gone !!!!! Forges, Gambit prime, Menagerie they are all in game and at least to some degree expand it and give gameplay time, weapon farm. The new seasons make the game more bare than ever. This game lost sanity after activision leave. Its more like a spit in the face of bungie employers who worked on the new horde modes. And also a good excuse why even bother to care for them or improve. Did they even bother with vex final assault ? No of course not, i would not either waste a single hour overtime on it. Its already gone , no one remembers it its lost. It seems activision was the only one who kept in check the insane people who steer the ship now.

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Tk: 1/5/2020 10:08:09 AMThe real truth is that: 1. Bungie are not competent developers (compare to every other online dev). They struggle to develop a game, when they are supposed to be qualified professionals at this. 2. Laziness - drip fed, reskinned, minimal content is just the norm in this game. 3. Greed - Rediculous prices and for lazy content has no end.

2 AntwortenDestiny has always been about the shooting and looting homie .. Granted.. Fallen order is a phenomenal game but.. Two entirely different genres.. You want story? Detroit become human or death stranding or fallen order like you mentioned as well .. You want to shoot shit and get loot? You play a looter shooter like destiny

3 AntwortenJedi fallen order is a good game! What color lightsaber did you choose at the end? I choose yellow

11 AntwortenI'm honestly thinking that the single player games are where's it's at. Multiplayer games just seem like a platform for upselling ATM. As an older gamer, it feels like I'm not the target market anymore, which is fair enough. This fear of missing out, or fear of never quite getting there, is a big turn off for me. It's more of a fear of wasting my time, the money is not an issue.

The game could be great but lack of innovation, corporate greed, and disrespect to the playerbase is what holds it back. Destiny has potential but that it amd nothing more.

13 AntwortenThe truth about this game is that it will never be as good as we want and know it can be.

10 Antworten
I participated in everything that was offered
Doesn't have Rivensbane, Blacksmith, Reckoner, Harbinger, Enlightened, or Undying seals Barely scratch the surface in terms of raids. Done no solo and/or flawless dungeons. No MNH time trial completions not really everything
even secured some raid jackets
You secured ONE raid jacket, and let's not kid ourselves, Crown of Sorrow was the easiest one to get.
After all this I’m proud to say I am done with playing playing destiny for good.
Prove it by deleting your characters. Bye.

I have to agree. I haven't done everything in the game because frankly I don't have time for that. This next part will sound weird though, I have 4500+ hours in to the game over the 5+ years of playing. Most of that time was in D1 though. D2 has never grabbed me the same way, probably because it was such a huge letdown after AoT in Year 3. I haven't quit completely but I rarely play. The only things that pull me back are a) a friend asks for help with something. This was the case yesterday, so I played for a couple hours and got a high number of drops, some power gear etc... all of which I promptly dismantled. Nothing of value and nothing that actually helped make my character better or stronger. b) Iron Banner. It's the only event I actually enjoy in this game, and it's kept me going through all the droughts. I always had that monthly event I would play. Although the addition of the silly quest just to unlock tokens etc... well let's just say it's stolen some of the fun there too. c) Gambit. Once in a while I'll hop on and play a few rounds. That's about it though, the rest of the over the top grinding, I'll leave that for other people. I can say this though, and others have alluded to it as well, the less you play, the less you feel like you have to play. I hate that feeling of needing to play, for a scrub casual like me that has a life outside of video games it just doesn't work. So I've had lots of time to start working on my backlog of games, played through a half dozen already. It's not that they feel more rewarding... it's just that they're fun and it made me realize that for the most part I haven't been having any fun in Destiny. So it's been great! I guess I owe Bungie a thank you for making the game less fun and more chore like, for pushing me away with their convoluted repetitive quests, the over the top and needlessly complicated armor that requires endless grinding to upgrade it along, and for weapons that I never master work because of the massive volume of resources required to do it with virtually no perceivable difference in performance once they're done.

I don't like story driven games, if I want a story I would read a book or watch a movie. Don't get me wrong, destiny is far from perfect, and I'm not sticking up for it ,but I wouldn't do better with story driven game with lots of cut scenes. I'm the guy that skips cut scenes.

2 AntwortenGet away, bro. Game is toxic. Community is toxic. Got a Switch and been playing some Breath of the Wild, Smash, Shield/Sword and Odyssey. It’s been super fun and those games content won’t go away if you put them away for a couple of months.

1 AntwortenBungie has taken a game that had awesome potential and absolutely ruined it with their shady tactics... they either lack talent or are just straight up lazy AF.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Spawn Of Apathy: 1/6/2020 1:49:19 AMComparing a live service game to a traditional one and done game experience? Sure. They’re not expecting you to still be playing Jedi Fallen Order or Death Stranding 12 months from now, or even ever again after beating it. Does Jedi Fallen Order respect your time? You spend all that time and effort to search for every chest to get every cosmetic in the game. Do you get to keep using them if you want to replay the game? NOPE. But continue to act like they’re the same type of game, with the same goal for its players. Let’s come back in December of this year and compare how much new content opportunities you’ve been offered in Fallen Order, pay or free, compared to Destiny.

1 AntwortenStarted playing Witcher 3 again after watching it on Netflix. Good god it’s a great game. Talk about content for days lol.

17 AntwortenThe truth about Destiny! It's not a single player game with a finite story. Thanks.

4 AntwortenDo the games u mentioned have multiplayer?
-
2 AntwortenYou are comparing story driven 1 player games to a pvp pve looter shooter. Wow. If i could say what i want to about the level of intelligence I think you are, I would get in trouble. Go away, leave us alone with your bs drama.
-
When you continue to play it's hard to walk away. Once you finally walk away, it gets easier not wanting/feeling the need to play.

The truth about why the crucible sucks: guardians hear a youtuber mention a weapon...every tryhard wannabe is using lord of Wolves... It's kinda pathetic. All it takes...TV, Azrecross, coolguy... they dont even click the video..its right to the vault..and the crucible is full of idiots using the same exact gun and loadout. Outstanding!!!

6 AntwortenI could never agree more! I enjoy playing Minecraft more even if it does take hours to get things done, it's sp satisfying to see a bee nest fill up with bees or to see the dragon die.
-
6 AntwortenHopefully Bungie takes the hint from your leaving as well as others who have done the same and changes their current philosophy of micromanaging the game and dictating how it is to be played. I’ve always believed that when developing a game the #1 priority should be player enjoyment. It’s one thing to try and make money off of micro transactions. It’s entirely another to disrespect a players time commitment to the product by removing content and introducing a FOMO component to the game. D2 is not in a good place right now.

1 AntwortenI’m waiting for CyberPunk and Vampire the Masquerade to come out. I play Destiny less frequently lately because there needs to be a major overhaul in the game. It’s entirely built on greed at the moment. Armor only accepts Eververse ornaments for the most part to change looks and cannot transmog to armor we have already obtained. Let that sink in for a second. And the fact that the seasonal mod slot is only each season instead of universal through all seasons. This makes it so we must purchase a season to use mods. I just don’t like where Destiny is going. I hope they change this direction.

This was an ok game at best, it just scratched an itch that a lot of us have for sci-fi and loot, but it really isnt a great game. The gear is all meh at best the raids are really pointless loot wise, the story is non existent, and the pvp is just god awful, I mean people openly advertise carries with cheats on Bungie's own site and those posts stay up until they slip down the page due to time or the poster takes it down. Bungie have shown they no longer care and any smart person will find something else to do.
