It's completely horseshit, you can throw it in the general direction of a guy and it'll always One shot kill, it's incredibly easy to pull off. It's kind of impressive how you keep letting horrible balance decisions like this get through play testing.

Do i really need to post videos of the absurdity of shoulder charges aim assist that basically sucks you into the person even if they are above you or nova grenade ohk people from 20 meters for the millionth time suck it yall have had ohk bullshit for a long time now that we do you see just how bullshit it is🙄
-
You actually didnt played D1
-
I threw one at an afk guy, aiming at his head, and it auto targeted his body and didn't kill him. Is there afk protection?
-
And warlocks holding hand held nova for 0.1 seconds getting double kills is skill based? Or shoulder charge titans is skill worthy loll?
-
2 AntwortenTitans have shoulder charge, Warlocks have handhelds, Hunters have throwing knives, I see no problem
-
1 AntwortenI'll agree to an aim assist nerf if they make it so we can hold it.

I’ve missed a bunch and nailed a few guys standing still.... gunslinger is the most balanced class out of all of them IMHO

A guy threw a throwing knife at me and I saw it go into my forehead but it counted as a body shot
-
They probably did test it. And they probably found it really fun to use and weren’t worried about people that take video games too seriously like yourself.

15 AntwortenLast night while I was capping a flag a hunter came around the corner on me and threw a knife as he did. I watched it fly by my screen, probably missed me by four or five inches for it to wiz by my screen like that. A millisecond after watching it wiz by me I heard it stick in the wall behind me. A second later I died because it apparently precision shoted me. Later that same match, the same hunter attacked me, but I managed to win. Despite the fact he was shooting at me up until the point he died, one second later a knife flew out of his dead body and precision shoted me. I’m fine with it being a one shot, but it can’t be so forgiving that you can completely miss with it and have it count, or press the melee button as you’re dying and have it still fire.

1 AntwortenMust not have played d1 be thankful there's a charge time
-
5 AntwortenBoth handheld supernova and all the shoulder charge abilities are OHK as well - and they don't even require a specific perk nor a precision shot to kill. I honestly don't see a problem with ohk throwing knives.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Atomic Tank: 12/16/2019 9:24:42 AMB8. It has very little in the way of aim assist compared to something like the throwing hammer.
-
I know right!? They might as well have given them a OHK Grenade they can charge up or a OHK Shoulder Charge! 🙄
-
Damn. I must be using the knife wrong.

I'm point nine and they miss me all the time. You must just suck. XD
-
The aim assist with a controller is pretty nuts, but that's everything with a controller
-
4 AntwortenAs a hunter I believe the knife shouldn’t have the wind up but also not have as much aim assist or be able to one shot kill. Something like 150 damage would seem fair. I also think the shoulder charge tracking should be reduced as well though as it feels cheap a lot of the time.
-
1 AntwortenI think the Aim assist could be a little less feels a little weird when your knife curves
-
5 AntwortenThis was always the issue with OHK’s on a throwing knife, They absolutely needed to neuter the aim assist as it’s ridiculously easy to land the headshot.
-
9 AntwortenGotta say it does seem rather cheap so far. Charge up time is a joke and the fact that they can have two and recharge them with a dodge every 10 seconds or every time they get a precision kill with it is madness
-
Funny thing is playtesters probably found the issue early on and reported it but the designers went with not caring. Those two groups tend to be at odds with one another. Especially if playtesters aren't in house, as they just give designers more work to do and they don't like it.
-
1 AntwortenHonestly OHK abilities should've never been a thing. They completely devalue weapons and create toxic players who crutch on them to get easy kills. The day they introduced shoulder charge in D1 was one of the darkest days in Destiny history.

Considering the literal mountain of broken ass exploits, bugs and glitches people have been finding non-stop since this season came out, the answer to your question regarding play testers is a hard, "nu-uh"
