To get straight to the point, I have a broken gamestate in the mission Payback in the Red Legion campaign and would like help fixing it so I can complete the game. Background and Context: I learned that Destiny 2 was now free within the week, and am playing it for the first time. The first thing I've done is started the original campaign, and so far it has been pretty fun. Unfortunately, I can't really continue the campaign without completing this mission. I was playing normally and reached the part of the mission where you exit the cave in a tank without issue. From there, the ship I'm supposed to attack has its shield go up, at which point I am booted from the game. I logged back in and started the mission, a checkpoint putting me right at the exit of the cave. I was originally glad to have not lost progress, but then I started noticing issues. First off, none of the tank summoning platforms work. No enemies spawn in either. I have found a few sections of the map where a floor or a wall have not spawned and I am able to walk straight out of the map into the void. Finally, the biggest issue is that I cannot damage the shield generators I'm supposed to destroy to get in the ship. So, that's about it. I'd greatly appreciate any and all help!
