For some people it's a weird question, how can you love and hate a game at the same time? For others thus question makes perfect sense, a game you played so much yet hate relentlessly for different reasons
So what game so you hate/Love?
For me it was Darksiders 3, with its annoying bosses, BS camera, stupid excuse for a side quest, WORST ARMOR SYSTEM I'VE EVER SEEN AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT ENDING
And yet? I got every trophy, beat it on the hardest difficulty on-top of new game plus, and fell in love with the Darksiders world
But most recently is a game so good it's awful, game so beautiful it's repulsive, a game so full of potential that it hammers home just how bad it is in comparison
Deaths Gambit
It's a side scrolling dark souls inspired Metroidvania that trys to be everything but ends up being almost nothing. With very poor excuse for side quests, a world that hardly feels connected, characters that are never given enough time to grow, and holder of the worst area in a videogame I've ever seen
And yet I love the game, death and endless are cool characters and for some reason I was interested in the story. I don't know how to explain it but... It just kinda happened
So how about you guys?

Trials Fusion / Any trials game I love the trials games but they tilt me more than almost any other game out there. Getting a good time is satisfying, but spending hours and hours trying to get that good time is punishing.

1 AntwortenMass Effect Andromeda. So, when I First started playing mass effect, Back in 2010, I had loved the first game, and the following 2 games just as much. When I first beat mass effect 3, I had gotten the Destroy ending. I had said, “Well, Now that we’ve saved the Milky Way galaxy, what now? Andromeda?” Turns out I was right. I love the gameplay so Much, But the story was very lacking in some places. Yet I still play it to This Day.

Bearbeitet von CAD1420Z: 12/1/2019 1:25:17 AMThe Elder Scrols IV: Oblivion. It, as an entry of the series, is pretty good. It's a solid game overall with loads of content and plenty of ways to play it, but there's just something about it that is extremely -blam!-ing boring. It's main setting is a generic fantasy forest or open fields or mountains. The only even slightly different areas in the base game is the swampy section around Bravil and Leyawin, and Mehrunes Dagons' plain of Oblivion, the Deadlands. Sure, there's the dungeons to explore, but once you've seen one you've seen 'em all due to how they designed the assets to be largely interchangeable. The graphics haven't aged well at all either. From blunt swords to the atrocious faces, it just doesn't hold up well at all. It's saving grace is The Shivering Isles and Knights of The Nine, those DLCs are actually fantastic and Good ol' Sheggy is always a treat. Edit: Excuse me Bungie? We can't say Mehrunes' full name? What the hell? Edit2: They don't like apostrophe s, but s apostrophe is fine? What the shit even?

Warframe. Definitely. I love the game so much but it gets sooo grindy sometimes and I just don’t get the time to do as much as I would like.
@-@
I think sekiro was the closest thing I had to a love/hate relationship with a game. But once I figured it out I loved it only. Phenomenal game

1 AntwortenBorderlands 3 It really isn't a quality game, tons of bugs, half the abilities still don't work, matchmaking atrocious, drop rates doodoo. But dammit I can't put it down.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von concreteninja85: 11/29/2019 2:42:47 PMDestiny 2 I love the raids, the gunplay, the music, and the social aspect of the game, but I hate pretty much everything else. It gets so boring and repetitive so fast, but I always find myself returning whenever a DLC drops so that I can do some of the new content with my clan.

Siege, borderlands 2/3, and destiny 2 Siege, because the team you have can either make it or break it Borderlands, because it can be choppy occasionally and the grind can be unreal, plus bl3 takes forever to start up most of the time Destiny 2, because the community can be very toxic at times (see #destiny2 for proof) and the meta doesn't change enough, in pvp and pve

Red Dead Redemption 2. This game is hands-down one of most visually beautiful game ever created. There are so many little nuances and details that nobody recognizes, down to the way your guy will open a door in first person mode and how the mud, blood, and snow don't just apprar on your guy like most games, but they actually leave stains and stuff. However, the gameplay is bad. Half of the game consists of you riding your horse around the biggest frickin map ever created because for some god forsaken reason Red Dead is open world. Even when you get to the actual shooting parts, the game still isn't great. The stupid shaking mechanic forces you to hide behind a barrier for every single gunfight because god forbid you try to move and shoot at the same time. Also, even with playing with the settings, the aiming never felt quite right; it was too clunky and slow at close range, but too imprecise at mid-long range. My immersion is ruined with the way they did health as well, you could pour 6-7 shots in a dude's leg and he won't go down, but if you hit the head or lungs, it's a instakill. I wouldn't have a problem with the instakill part, but the game forces you to hit only heads at all times, which kinda sucks. It also doesn't help that your guy is a human tank and can get shot at least 10 times without suffering anything. The story really isn't all that great either. None of the pieces that have been set up ever come into contact with each other, and all the enemies line up to face you one by one instead of acting in conjunction like they should. The story also revloves around 5 characters: Dutch, Micah, Arthur, John, and Hosea. This would be fine, but all the other characters don't really do anything. They're just kinda there, serving no purpose other than to give the camp more flavor. It's a shame that all these personalities that were carefully crafted just go to waste in the story. Also, the way that the major enemies were defeated is so weak. SPOILER ALERT
Dutch just walks by the guards and shoots Cornwall in the face Colm O'Driscoll gets hung without any intervention from your camp
And then, every time you move camp, the story just reverts back to its old formula, where it basically tells the the same thing, but in a new location.

3 AntwortenStar Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. There is just so much cut content that makes it hard to get into the game. Imnalsonnot a fan of how they force you into moral stereotypes. You're either the goodiest goodie twoshoes or the most evil mustache twirling villain that micks puppy's. I usually play neutral leaning a bit red because some folks just really need killin and my pockets need fillin! Basically, game is a lot of fun but it kills my immersion every five minutes.

Outer Worlds, except I don’t hate it and I’ve been playing for 10 hours straight.

Bloodborne. It is a fantastic game. Amazing story and atmosphere, but I still can’t get the gameplay down all the way, and I hate the blood vial system.

Destiny, Smash Ultimate, and the f*cking mind games that my sisters play... 😒 Lil b*tches had me figured since childhood.

Destiny: I love it A LOT. It's just I get bored really fast recently and a ton of stuff is just reskin and not really interesting. I know the dev's are working hard but I mean...we've given them a lot of time for them to role out something great. Either way, the game, the lore, the communit, all fantastic. Overwatch: Great game, but I get burned out quick. Also, comp is toxic... Halo: A little hard to explain...but it's Halo. I want to play it, but it just doesn't feel the same anymore. Skyrim: I don't feel like going around a mountain and I end up wasting 2 hours forcing myself to climb it.

None. Gameplay snob. The play loop either hooks me or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, I drop a game and don’t look back.

Warframe I love the gameplay, build diversity and the ever expanding story but I absolutely hate that every time you take a break from it and an update drops, you have mountains upon mountains of grinding to do to climb back up which only worsens with each passing update. Warframe is really not friendly to people who don’t play it at least once a week. Destiny 2 This game just reeks of lost potential and cheap cuts by Bungie to give us as little content as they could get away with but the story, gunplay and raids keep me coming back. I like GoS a lot as a raid and love the new Ordeal and NM system. There’s just so much more shit like the Vex Offensive or Comp that just shits all over it and throws me away from the game. Bungies laziness is highlighted heavily within VO to be specific. I like the game, but I don’t like Bungies business practices which I consider to be extremely slimy. Halo 5 Think the Multiplayer is actually a lot of fun and like how it isn’t as COD-like as 4 but it’s not as fun as say lolreach or 3. Forge has a lot of neat stuff but I got bored it real fast. Warzone is a cool concept but I could never properly get into it, I don’t like how the system works. I can play it for a few hours a week at most before thinking to myself that it’s kinda a waste of time. The story is -blam!-ing ass and I would genuinely put it on par with Mass Effect Andromeda in some sections. Halo 4 had a much better story with a hell of a harder punch which just gets retracted in this game with “EviL CoRTaNA ResURReCted!!!1!1!”. My fingers are crossed for Infinite to be a Hail Mary. Metroid Other M Hear me out on this before you’re like “OTHER M BAD”, the story is bad, the writing is bad, Sakurai has an ego the size of a planet and attempted to retcon the Prime Trilogy because he’s insecure it was just as good as anything he’s ever made if not better. BUT, the gameplay in Other M flows unbelievably smooth and I like the environments you’re put in, I rarely get the sense of being genuinely unnerved in areas in video games but Other M has eerie atmospheres almost everywhere and doesn’t pull punches with violence (we see the mauled body of a soldier we fought with right before we enter the pyrosphere). The soundtrack is also incredible featuring an amazing rendition of the Ridley theme and even a good Phantoon theme. Essentially I love the game for the quick, engaging gameplay but despise it for the awful story, writing of the characters and it’s attempts to retcon a better Trilogy than this game in every single way. Team Ninja really tried with this game and you can tell. Fallout 3 When this game came out it was absolutely groundbreaking, no doubt about it. Until people finished the story and began realising the optimisation for the game is below 0. I would have better luck running Crysis on my 2005 Toshiba laptop than playing this game at a stable frame rate without any form of crash. The story is... okay I suppose; at least until the insult that was the final mission literally ending your playthrough unless you paid money for a DLC, the gameplay is very dated and it shows it’s age pretty well through the lighting and textures and the writing of certain characters was downright cringeworthy. It’s an aging game but I still love it despite its many thousand flaws. Mass Effect 3 I feel like most people are either in camp “I -blam!-ING HATE ME3” or camp “ME3 was actually awesome” and both sides are right. There are some awful aspects of this game and some brilliant ones too. The gameplay has never been more fluid and continues to impress me playing it 7 years down the line, the merge of run and gun combat from ME1 and the Cover Shooting combat from ME2 is done masterfully and makes it so either tactic is very viable and you can do it without a hitch although with certain enemies like Banshees it’s encouraged to play like ME2. The multiplayer is still incredibly fun and decently active because people played Andromeda and instantly realised ME3 was not actually that bad. Positives aside, this game has a bad story and there’s no getting around it. It starts off strong with the feeling of hopelessness and carries it well all the way through until the final few missions where the writing takes a nosedive that Extended Cut didn’t even come close to fixing. People expected more out of a series so heavily based on your choices actually making a difference. In the ending you get a different colour but the same result which leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. From Ashes is a scam DLC and is a disgraceful Day 1 addition because it contains such an integral character to the story, Leviathan is not interesting at all and adds a backstory to the reapers when it was not needed whatsoever, if anything it took away from the mystery of them and curbed the fear factor. Omega is dull and uninspired (didn’t surprise me that the team that made Andromeda made this and Leviathan) and extended cut is a rushed mess attempting to appease the player base by altering like 10 things every so slightly. Citadel is a masterpiece though and was a great send off to the game despite it not being the one that the trilogy deserved.

Currently, overwatch I’m stuck in gold cause I can’t play as often, and the current meta is absolute garbage full of no skill doomfist mains who can’t play another hero for shit, *cough* CHIPSA *cough* And the game overall makes me mad. They gotta fix that shit. But it’s a love hate relationship cause I overall like the concept of the game and most of the heroes are really fun.
