I continue to fire at the shadow, but now aim at its head.

-
“Azar.” I teleport behind the shadow, dodging the shot, and I shoot him in the head then stab him in the back.
-
It hits, and the shadow groans in pain, before swiping everyone present with his tentacles. Then he stands poised. A red dome encloses everyone with the shadow standing in the middle, ready to strike. Fastman seems to know what this is and rushes to get out, the man follows.
-
I follow suit. I use my boosters to speed up my run out of the dome.
-
You get out successfully. As soon as you exit the shadow moves at an imperceptibly fast speed, slicing everything inside the dome a thousand times. He returns to his original position and remains there. Fastman and the man both rush at him.
-
I stay behind the shadow. I continue to fire, one shot after another, at the shadow.
-
The shadow warps away from everyone, it fires more lasers from his tentacles at you. Fastman and the man rush him again.
-
I attempt to dodge the lasers and block with my sword, if needed. I continue to shoot at the shadow.
-
You dodge most of the lasers except one, which you block, but the force from it sends it flying from your hand. The shadow is hit by the shots and is staggered, giving Fastman and the man a window of opportunity to strike, which they take by slashing with their weapons. The shadow slows down, it can’t seem to take much more...
-
I draw my other sword. “Ok Joy, it’s your turn now.” /its about time!/ “Sorry, I like to switch it up, you know? /fair enough. I get next time though./ “I was planning on that.” /good/ “Now let’s continue.” I get closer to the shadow and continue to fire at it.
-
The shadow tries to dodge, but it still hit by one of the bullets, he is staggered. Fastman and the man both slash at him, knocking him to the ground. He is slow getting back up... “I think that’s that...” Says fastman, relieved.
-
I walk up next to the men, facing the shadow. “I agree.” I look down at the shadow, “Are you like the other shadow? Who wants to be released?”
-
“I suppose I really am strong huh...” it says. “Stronger than you think, buddy. Plus you were outnumbered, much like before.” Fastman responds, Shadow Fastman laughs, but is suddenly cut off. “You betray me, fastman.” A new voice says, using shadow fastman as a vessel. “I’ve reconsidered our little deal, I see no more reason to listen to you.” Fastman responds aggressively. “Then you will succumb like the rest of humanity, for the time has come for the merge.”
-
I look at Fastman, “The merge? That doesn’t sound good.”
-
He nods in agreement. “Good, bad, irrelevant. It is what humanity wishes, whether they realise it or not.” The mysterious voice says.
-
“Can we stop it?”
-
Fastman and the man both remain silent. “I invite you to try, yet you will fail. A few souls against the masses do naught but anger them.” The shadow disappears suddenly. “Both of you, do not resist.” The cloaked man suddenly puts one hand on both you and fastman, and in an instant you are transported to a mysterious space. You look around on arrival and see a large, but ruined throne. Fastman and the cloaked man both stare at it.
-
I look at them, then look at the stone and try to decipher why it’s there
-
The throne looks thousands of years old. Like everything else in this space, it is in ruins. “Fastman, I believe you have what is needed.” The cloaked man says to him. “...I do.” Fastman slowly draws his sword, walks up to the cloaked man, and turns around. “Whenever you’re ready.” The cloaked man says, Fastman inverts the sword, pointing the blade towards himself and the cloaked man behind him. Before you can do anything he drives the blade home and everything turns white. A moment later you open your eyes to a bright, gilded room where three individuals await you. Two of them you recognise instantly, the cloaked man and fastman, but the third is the first to speak. “Thank you, friend.”
-
“I had little place in this. It’s this man that you should thank.” I motion towards the man.
-
“I would, but that would be self centred of me, considering he was a split half of me.” He says. “Oh yes, before I confuse you. These are ‘fakes’ I created using my memories, they are my attendants now. The cloaked man speaks, “I have a name now, call me ‘Spectre’.”
-
“Fair enough. Hello, Spectre. Hello Fastmans.”
-
They both wave. “This ‘merge’ that voice foretold, I have seen it happen. Humanity would be enslaved to their negativity unless we stop it here.”
-
“Sooo... definitely bad. How do we do that?”
-
“In 12 hours, it will encroach on the real world. You and 4 more distinguished warriors will be there waiting to stop it, and defeat the god of this ‘Negative World’.” “Oh! It occurs to me I never formally introduced myself, I am The Descendant. This is my space outside of time. In reality, you will come to as if no time has passed at all.”
