PersonallyI lack the same vision that a lot of you have. I only see out of one eye. Have done my whole life. It means I have a slower reaction than most, and I rely solely through single vision for everything. It makes playing PvP hard. Yes you don't know that, but its stupidly insulting to get messages abusing me to 'get good' when I know I never will be. Hey I'm ok with not being the best. When I play crucible I enjoy myself. Surprisingly the lack of complete vision and a slower reaction still puts me at pretty good odds to out snipe other people.
I understand many of you are good at what you do. Congrats. Good work I applaud you for having the skills to do so.
What I don't respect is the way some of you treat other people.
You don't know the person you are playing, so play with some respect and play right.
Sending salty messages, being a total jerk and what not doesn't prove your better. It only shows you have no class.
For all you know you could be vs an older person with poor reaction times, a person with a disability, a person who has social anxiety. If they aren't good at crucible then they are doing it just to have fun, earn some rewards, have a laugh and just muck around.
Yes I have managed to earn my way to getting the Recluse and the Revoker and Mountaintop. It proves some of us can do it. But again it's the lack of respect from the PvP community that angers me.
I'm not sensitive about it, win or lose I don't care. I just think attitudes need to change in a game where you are meant to have fun. Not be insulting, and behaving like a classless foul just to show off.
You might be good at PvP but nobody outside would know you from a bar of soap.

Only time I used cheesey shit (MT and Recluse) was when someone was doing it in a rumble match with 2 other people, felt like putting them in their place. They got a bit wild in message chat, exposed their KD and blocked them. Nothing more to it

People have learned not to send me hate mail. I love when they do though. I have a fatass cat that likes to set on my desk or in the window while I game so I just take pictures of his a$$hole and send it to them until they stop responding 🤷♂️
-
Or respond to hate messages with various messages to nonchalantly let them know that’s it’s just a game and you aren’t bothered by it. For example after getting crushed as inhumanly as possible a member of the other team sent me a disparaging message to remind me of my place on the food chain. He wanted me to know that he was the better player and that I was un-evolved pond scum with thumbs. To which I replied “Man that was rough, that’s the last time I play with my feet.” Things like that may just remind others that we are humans behind the avatar and to remind each other it’s just a game. He actually apologized in another message and said GG.

I will no longer be reading, commenting on the post. Thank You for the humour, the very real aspect of people knowing and understanding and sharing similar problems.

I’m sorry it’s just the unfortunate timing I thought this was a satire post about one eyed mask when reading the first paragraph. I agree though people are so toxic nowadays everything is a contest. On PS4 it notifies you a group is made before a message is sent. So I went message a person gg and before I got to message him he sent me a picture of a trash can and wrote “you’re trash kid” My rule of thumb is to never disrespect a team until they do it to me, then by all means except my Warlock bags til the timer stops us from playing each other Even with that being said, I’ve been trying to change my perspective in PvP because as of very recently I’ve done all it has to offer as far as pinnacle rewards (I have Redrix Claymore/Broadsword, Luna’s, Mountaintop, Recluse, Randy’s, and finally the NF). Although they made the system easier, grinding the 5500 was definitely no easy feat and I find it great I made it there but there needs to be something like Trials to keep the incentive to play PvP alive. I thought about doing carries to 2100 whenever I’m not trying to do pinnacle activities so I guess that’s my only PvP incentive I’ll be starting? There’s my slight rant/perspective on the current state of PvP

Yes, the community is great overall but a few bad apples ruimg the whole harvest. Best advice is to ignore it. There are many respectful and fun people out here, but it's easier to remember the jerks. Just look around the forum, most of them live here I think.

I agree with this. if it wasn't for my conditions, I would be better at this game. People need to lay off the toxicity, unless you are trash talking a friend, then just don't be to much of a D-head. I believe trash talking is just your ego going into overdrive, but against friends it's a different story. Instead of toxicity try and give a person some pointers like, for your primary you should go for outlaw kill clip, just a little tip" When using a sword as a warlock you can jump and swipe at the same time to go further" , and maybe just recommend using X weapon instead of Y weapon. Stuff like that.

Sorry, it's usually kids sending those kind of messages, or grown-a$$ children. They really seem to hate being called kids also lol.

1 AntwortenIf I message someone after a match it's either to congratulate them on doing so well or to ask what roll they have on a weapon that just stomped me #StayHumble

2 AntwortenIdc if i get bagged on..get hate mail. The only thing i cannot stand is getting emoted on. That imo is the most toxic

I think crucible is hilarious. I’m always excited to find someone who bags me or my teammates. Then the fun mini game of “hunt n bag” starts! I’m surprised I get hate mail very rarely. If I do I’ll usually reply with the score, something along the lines of, “7 to 4 bags, I win! GGs!” Keep it fun for you, and don’t take it too seriously. Ignore the toxics.

Restrict messages and communication to friends only. Any other problems you need solved?

Same here had lazy right eye all my life and never really thought about how it effects gaming, sports yes (although having one eye helps with pool/snooker) but never really gaming. Angry people are not going to stop me playing my fave game and hopefully not for you either.

Internet behavior You'll learn eventually

There is no honor in ANY PvP game. You are trying to kill me, and I am trying to kill you- period. I don't care about your reaction time, skills, or load out. But I will agree with you on one thing- there is NO reason for anyone to send salty messages. That is ridiculous.

Bearbeitet von UnbrokendredgenRevoker: 11/15/2019 3:15:39 AMIf you are going to comment. Put some thought into your words and actually string a thoughtful sentence together. Comments of just insulting, being rude and so on is just further highlighting the point of you having no class. The posts popularity has made its point. You wanna accuse me, go ahead. You know nothing. Unlike some of you I'm not going to judge people because they can't put some thought provoking words together. To those who actually made an effort to LISTEN and READ the post properly and made an effort. Good work. See you all out there.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von GPappyT: 11/21/2019 1:25:44 PMAs a 74 yr old player I understand your remarks completely. I still enjoy IB and look forward to the once or twice per IB week that I make the top of the fireteam. Makes up for the 90% of the time I sit at the bottom. Wish I had your courage to enter comp and get a recluse, but I probably dont have that much time left. Best... Actually, you made me brave enough to try. AND! 25 matches later I had a RECLUSE.....

Bearbeitet von UK Mojo: 11/15/2019 2:25:32 PMThe PVP side to any game brings out the pure evil in people it always has done and always will do, it is what it is. I don't like PVP that much i just do it if i need to, PVE is just the same though you get right menks in raids that think there some kinda god's gift, get bitty if you either fail once or twice threaten to boot you... and you then see those menks fail countless times anyway! Mate your going to come across a lot of these people online in the coming years as games advance more and Gaming communities will get more and more bitty, ~ damn have you seen that esports player start beafing on live stream because he got banned for cheating, funny times competitive game will and i will always bring the hate, dark side of humans

I would recommend disabling whispers from people not on your friends list
