"Network Manipulation" or Bad internet is bannable?
So it has come to my attention Bungie ban's players for have consistantly bad network connection, I've been banned for having friends who live in my house and use the same network making me lag, even when on Ethernet. 43 days 8 hours of progress, gone after having "Bad Internet connection" As a wise mother somewhere out there once said, You can't control other's actions, you only control your own.

Why would one be banned for sharing an network connection with people who also live within my domicile, Bungie doesn't share with those you call family? Friends? Loved ones? Insanity

4 AntwortenIf you are constantly disconnecting or reported for poor connection, yes. Just because your internet is high speed does not guarentee good ping, which can cause rubberbanding and other lag types. If you received a permanent ban, you were either reported, reviewed by Bungie and banned. Or had some software active that Bungie's anticheat system detected as a redflag.

49 AntwortenRun the latency test at testmy.net: https://testmy.net/latency Click the icon with the eye on it to run all the tests back to back. Watch what the line graphs are doing. If they are continually spiking really high and you keep getting high deviation numbers, then you may have a latency/jitter problem for your ISP to investigate. Each of the individual test graphs will note the address it tested, so you can look closer at that particular route (run traces and such)... sometimes a certain exchange point is a common denominator they can look at. There is another batch ping test you can run at dslreports.com for extra comparison as well: http://www.dslreports.com/tools/pingtest Yes, I know many of the test locations are a long way away and the core latency will be too high for the game... what you are testing for is the consistency of the latency. If there is too much jitter or packet loss, the game will boot you. They've gone as far as labeling my 60mbps down/ 10mbps up network as "Network Manipulation" Because this is an shared network.
