That’s just the reality of the current situation.
Some people are madder than others, some make great points, some are being childish.
There’s also a number of people who support Eververse, though I’d argue that a majority of those people don’t actually like Eververse, it just doesn’t really affect them. Most of these people seem to tolerate monetization, but have no tolerance for people who criticize it.
The scales are tipped too far in the direction of monetization, and it’s affecting the quality of the game. I tried to give this feedback a year ago when it was obvious that we were headed in this direction, but because most people thought I was overreacting I got very little support.
I’m trying to keep the conversation going before Bungie is just another Bethesda or Ubisoft. Because, let’s face it... Bungie seems to have forgotten that they launched a pathetically bad game that almost ruined the franchise. They’re still trying to fix that catastrophe, actually.
And, when Bungie was on the ropes about to be KO’d by their poor decisions, they tried harder. They admitted that they took monetization too far, and they corrected it. They really did right by their community and built the game back up.
Then Forsaken hit and players came back. And Bungie’s reaction was to dial monetization up to 11, AND add a battle pass in Shadowkeep. Because they could. Because they had a playerbase again.
We deserve better, Bungie. And I will remember this the next time you fck up and need help from your loyal fans. When D3 launches as an unfinished turd with no content... yeah. I won’t be there.

1 AntwortenThe community needs a job problem solved.

2 AntwortenEveryone should be like my girlfriend. She plays destiny and liked the new ace of spades ornament. I told her it was only going to be available for silver and she responded by saying “looks like I won’t be getting it then.” No need to go crazy on the forums over eververse. Just don’t buy it and that’s that.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von NVMYGT: 11/2/2019 7:38:07 AMRemember the 2000 dust per element for Solstice glows discussion? Now we are at 6000 dust per character for the skeleton armor ornaments. I'm down to 82k dust, might need to buy silver soon

Well written

Bearbeitet von Billahzz: 11/2/2019 9:31:12 AMNot gonna lie even I, a dedicated bungie fan who usually defends them feel like eververse is a bit much and its making me consider a wait and see approach to further installments. Im fine with a micro transaction presence in the game but it seems like theyre putting more effort into the micros than the game. I also feel like the prices are too high, ive bought silver in the past when i had some extra cash but with the prices of stuff in the store being what they are im less inclined to do so.

Eververse doesn't effect me in any way. You want to shop there? Go Ahead. Don't want to shop there? By all means go shoot some aliens. I log in and do what I want and ignore what I don't.

13 AntwortenBearbeitet von draycole: 11/1/2019 2:37:58 PMCan you explain how eververse makes strikes boring? Or raid mechanics too complicated? Or how eververse makes getting to max light level too grindy? Or how eververse makes pvp unbalanced? Or how eververse makes the new exotics suck? In what way does eververse make quests boring and tedious? I'm genuinely curious
-
The people who defend it are people who just dont want the boat rocked and would rather everything be sunshine and rainbows. Pretending the problem isnt there wont fix anything and eververse hurts everyone regardless of whether you support it or not
-
Every post on this just dredges up the same old crap, from me also. I don't blame any company for trying to make money as long as it's legal. The consumer decides if it's successful or not. If no one bought anything from Eververse, it wouldn't be worth the effort to support and Bungie would remove it.
There’s also a number of people who support Eververse, though I’d argue that a majority of those people don’t actually like Eververse, it just doesn’t really affect them.
I just spent 7 bucks for the Thunderlord ornament.
Then Forsaken hit and players came back. But one complaint which is valid +1 is the bright dust bounty situation. Fenchurch needs to come back and reel her in a bit.

The Eververse doesn't bother me at all. I don't get what players are ticked off about. What, that good looking ornaments are behind a paywall? Bah, players have had to deal with ugly looking armor since day 1 of Destiny 2, and only now it bothers them? That dog don't hunt.
-
I won't complain about Tess or eververse, but I will complain that the content was pretty Lack lustered this season. Just put the same amount of effort into content as with eververse.
-
2 AntwortenI'm not a fan of Eververse ( I've been worried about a slippery slope for a while), but everything is cosmetic. As long as it stays that way, there's really nothing wrong with it. Why does having premium content that doesn't affect the game mean there's a problem?
-
2 AntwortenAfter five years, don’t complain and then stay.
-
2 AntwortenWhoever complains about Tess is actually delusional. Talk about grown men complaining about cosmetics.
-
I respect you because you have a brain when you make your argument. To all the people who are complaining about “Festival of the Cost,” I have already acquired 8 masks this season and the auto rifle. I have spent $0
-
Let them be mad it’s not going to stop. 80% of the game is now free.

Ever verse isn't an issue it isn't required of anyone to buy anything

7 AntwortenIt's not even remotely "reality" You have some angry, edgy, folks that come to the forums to whine and complain, that have no understanding of basic economics. They thinks its the trendy thing to do, to be woke about mtx. Its laughable. EV is going nowhere. No, you cant get more bright dust to circumvent to entire point of EV to begin with. Many tens of thousands dont have issues with EV, and I see cosmetic purchases all the time in game. So in conclusion, your snowflake, attention grabbing post, means nothing. All the other similar posts with, at most, a couple hundred upvotes, means nothing. Maybe take your upvote farming to another site, or cause, like ocean pollution or something. Your(and others) crusade against EV is ridiculous, and wont do anything.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von ADarkUrge: 11/2/2019 3:33:04 AMIt's an issue when it's the only vendor that gets genuinely new items and in order to obtain them You HAVE to either buy them OR max out your season rank and then pray to RNG the bright engram will give you said new items before the end of that season. Which you probably won't if you are a casual who has Irl responsibilities. If you're not then you only have a new item drought from the other vendors.

But without Eververse Bungie employees would go hungry and sleep in the streets. Some of them don't even have clothes to wear for work. They just live under their desks in their PJ's. Show some compassion.. and buy silver.
-
Difference between funding the game and abusing microtransactions. Not to mention isn't dlc sales from shadow keep and the season pass not funding the game? if cosmetics fund the game make shadow keep and the season pass for free.

Bearbeitet von WulfPak666: 11/1/2019 10:15:18 PMYou have to admit though, the team in charge of Eververse is making mad bank if people are actually buying these. $15 for a skeleton shader on 1 character?? All they have to do now is sell God Roll guns for $15, Glory Point boosters for $10 or max 5500 glory for $200. Hell, KD booster... Raid loot, Trials Fast Pass, the list goes on. Everyone at Bungie will be driving Lambos by New Year's.
