D2 raids are/have become too mechanics heavy and any one thing could cause a wipe including glitches. It would be nice if we had an assortment of raids where some were less mechanics heavy. Not fun to bring new ppl in because everyone has to have the mechanics down 100%. For example, more raids like kings fall and wotm, less raids like gos and sos. Focused team mechanics and less sub teams doing different mechanics.
Also the armor drop rate in GoS is terrible!

3 AntwortenOnly way to learn said mechanics are to play them. Not everyone wants to handhold a newbie through a raid as some times people don't have 4 hours+ to commit to a raid and just want to do it as fast as possible. I would suggest you start.your own post looking for like minded raiders who have not completed and are also looking to learn.

4 AntwortenMy limit on raid mechanics was Kings Fall it had the most mechanics I was able to learn without messing up the runs. After Wrath of the Machines I hit my patience especially with the last boss some steps confused me a lot. Then D2 came and bungie listening to those goddam nerds streamers Datto and others like Planet Destiny commentators, saying oh the raid, it’s too easy make it a harder, ok give them a hard mode. But bungie made it with more annoying mechanics even the “easy mode” one. So now I can’t even complete a normal mode, fudge you idiots at bungo. The employees that are in charge of the raiding mechanics are idiots, the normal mode is so you can raid for non hardcore players, if you want harder raid go to the hard mode one that should have more mechanics that how it should be. PS don’t respond cause I won’t respond back.

Bearbeitet von Guardian, Archon Of Light: 10/28/2019 5:11:50 AMCrown Of Sorrow has 1, single mechanic If you can master the skill of shooting a big round rock every so often ,or have atleast 4 others who can, you can beat the raid. Last Wish and Spire were way over the top and designed to be twitch races and it shows Garden looks like you have to keep up with 5 different things in your head while trying not to die, but I have seen alot of people with Garden weapons and the divinity so it must not be Last Wish or Kings Fall bad

The last raid I did alot was Spire of Stars. Then I did just one completion of Last Wish. After that, I just got fed up with Bungie making so many changes and over complicating everything from mechanics to the economy. The game became less interesting and less fun and more of a chore like job. When most of the players I ran with quit playing - I decided to just leave it all. It was sad at the moment, but afterwards it felt very good to break free from such a mess of a game.

im sure the term get GUD is in order

There isn’t anything complicated about the current raids though? Especially with the higher light leveled I’ve heard. Honestly I’ve heard more friends say the new ones too easy

I say this on every version of this topic. It's not that theres too many mechanics. It's just all the mechanics are literally to get to damage phase. Where as it used to be mechanics to get you to damage phase while actually causing some damage to the raid boss, so if you're a little short on DPS it was a bit more forgiving. This and the revive token/timer are hot garbage. I ran shattered throne again today to finally get izanagis burden, just been putting it off, and I had more fun going in with a 3 man fire team than any of the raids. Idk raids are I a weird spot. The golden days of D1 of clutching a boss encounter while your entire team is down if at all rarely happens.

4 AntwortenNever thought I'd see people actually complaining about well designed encounters and raids. This community really is self entitled and whiny.

Bearbeitet von Meow Fairy: 10/28/2019 3:45:10 AMBtw....atheon and crota are well known for having multiple glitches... This isnt really an argument :/

No they arent. They are the only pinnacle pve content (nightfalls too but they are just hard strikes). Not every raid needs to be like vault of glass where u just stand and shoot. Although I agree the armor drop rate is shit in Salvation.

31 AntwortenThe mechanic heavy raid plus no one wanting to help teach the raid mechanics creates an exclusion within the player base. The larger the exclusion the more raiders feel special probably why they don't teach raid mechanics because if everyone had the loot then no one is special.
-
no they arent. sure it asks more than "lol just shoot all your rocket at the boss while somebody slams the boss with a sword" but not that much, most errors in raids comes from people that arent listening or paying attention to what they do. because in fact...the last boss from gos is really simple when it comes to its strats... -take a tp..gambit motes. -sometimes build a part (in some strats you dont even build plates) -kill adds.. -take 3 players and connect a bank to the boss.. -dps.. waw...mechanic heavy AF...

7 AntwortenI haven't done a single raid other then Calus raid on normal. Nobody wants to play with people that don't have prior completions.
-
1 AntwortenI wish there wasn't such a focus on raids, dungeons are so much better, haven't done any raids yet myself but I just LOVE Shattered Throne, it's sad there is only one dungeon being added, would be nice if they went back and added dungeons to all the other xpacs/base game.

I disagree, I enjoy how raids are in D2. Riven without cheese is my favorite encounter in Destiny.
-
5 AntwortenIt's either be mechanic heavy or introduce difficulty by making all enemies utter bullet sponges. I'm not a raider at all in D2, but I was avid raider in D2. The few raids I have done in D2 aren't extravagantly more mechanic heavy than they were in D1, with the exception of Spire of Stars but that's just a horrible raid all round. The last thing this game needs is adding difficulty by inflating the power level of enemies to make them harder to kill. Mechanics is the way to go

Welcome to a Raid in a MMO type game! >.> I hope this post is troll bait.
-
GoS is way more action orientated.... am I sure we're even playing the same game It has a gambit mechanic in 2 parts of the raid, a teather mechanic, and you sometimes have to clean up hydra puke Out of the 3 "big" raids in D2, its the easiest in terms of its mechanics Now Last Wish on the other hand (if you're fighting Riven legit) is an ENTIRELY different story (as Riven is the hardest fight in Destiny's history) Leviathan is mechanic heavy, and has lots of moving parts. Once you're equipped, however, its almost comically easy
-
1) You probably haven't played Kings Fall. 2) I have 8 pieces of class legs across my 3 profiles. I've only had 2 weapon drops.
-
2 Antwortenim just gonna try to play out the annual mistake i made then move on from bungie products.

I disagree completely. Raids should always be mechanic heavy. Its defines them as different in the game. Otherwise it would be like everything else in the game with running and gunning. Maybe take the time to learn mechanics that really arent hard and not complain so much.

Personally I enjoy it more this way. Raids are difficult but fun. Like EoW. Not even mechanic heavy. The only mechanic heavy thing really is Riven. -
What about wrath? It had some mechanics that were down right a pain in the a$$ for some people to get .... But that raid was dope. And Kingsfall was mechanic heavy and that raid was pretty fun!! What I'm getting at is I think the raids are pretty damn good right now.
-
No, they're not. They're actually really easy if you communicate. It's a raid ffs not a strike.
-
12 AntwortenWe have easy raids. They’re Leviathan, EoW, and SotP. That’s 3/7 of the raids. Basically half. That seems pretty fair to me considering the majority of raiders want hard mechanics.

I've watched videos on GoS and it reminds me of vog especially the last boss. Instead of going in the portal shooting oracles your killing enemies and collecting motes. I'm not 100% sure but I think even a few goes without a mic could be in a group and it should be do able the tether mechanic is about common sense not really talking needed
