They couldn’t simulate the darkness and knew they couldn’t beat it, so, instead of running like the other vex did, they worshipped it, becoming more powerful themselves.
But why didn’t they do the same with the traveler and the light? Did they recognize it as an enemy of the darkness? Or am I missing something really obvious?

I must provide a body post.

I view it as the Darkness is absolute nothing. Zero. The Light is chaotic, numerous. To a machine nothing is very than Zero.

Because they likely wouldn’t receive the same response. Ghaul had to invade and occupy the solar system/city to STEAL the Light for about 5 minutes before we kicked him in the balls and the Traveler knocked him out with a knee to the face.

[I don’t know. Maybe it’s because they met the darkness first or maybe it’s because the darkness is just that appealing to them. The only way to figure out would be to ask a vex from the sol divisive, but they’re pretty hostile so chances of that are slim.]

Anyone know why the ‘Harpy boss thing’ (technical term) in the new raid is eating the Minotaur in the first encounter?

1 AntwortenIn the lore, the gardener and the winnower play a game, the gardener broke rules and became “vexed” It’s my belief that the vex don’t worship the darkness, they worship the games rules, they are the moderators of this “game” and when the traveler left and broke the rules, the vex took action, the darkness saw this and assisted them...

6 AntwortenThe vex have no true alignment. They are simply trying to fix the problem the light caused.
-
Because the darkness got to them first? Because the vex are the tenders of the garden and the traveler (the gardener) abandons his job and leaves the darkness (the winnower) to deal with the mess
-
1 AntwortenBecause the story is trash.

The darkness seems to be willingly giving them this power whereas they would likely not receive the same treatment if they worshiped the light. However, if they did worship the latter, it's possible that previous events regarding them would have been drastically different.
-
Worshipping the darkness granted the vex power. Worshiping the light seems unlikely to do the same for them

Because they saw what happened to sun bro in Dark Souls. \[T]/

1 Antworten<The Darkness is like a million times stronger than the Light and the Pyramid Armada and Winnower have a much more dominant presence in the system. Plus, the goals of the Vex are really similar to the Darkness.>
-
Simple answer is the Deep and the Vex have converging goals while the Sky and the Vex have conflicting goals. The Vex simply can't achieve what they want by allying with the Light.
-
They met with the Darkness first and saw that it has the very same goals that the Vex do, so they worship the Darkness and fight against the Light

I’m not sure. I would say that specifically Sol Decisive probably just chose the darkness. But why there isn’t one for the light I don’t know.
