EDIT: so it turns out i did try to log in to the wrong account, and the one i did migrate to was an ancient one i completely forgot, that didn't even have a community profile set up so i couldn't find it by searching for users in steam. I guess I'll leave this post up for future generations ;)
So I'm planning to link my bungie.net profile to my steam alt (not the account i linked to originally) and play there, since that seems to be the recommended solution, i just wanna make sure i get it right.
-I'm logged into bungie.net using my battle.net username and password, unlink my old steam account and do the PC move again, this time using my other steam account.
-I'm not gonna lose my character data since that's on my profile on bungie.net(?)
-I played a little free to play on my alt already, but that's just gonna get overwritten and i'll get my main characters from battle.net on my alt steam account, and then I'll buy shadowkeep there.
Am i understanding everything right? Is there any risk of me losing my characters for good?
Any answers are greatly appreciated. :)

2 AntwortenYou don’t lose the characters for good you just need to make sure you select the correct account when doing the transfer otherwise you will be locked out for like 90 days
