Was messing around on the moon, got one of those little ghost things and I go to the area and it starts talking but something it said got my attention
"Whoever finds this.... don't trust toland"
So question obviously is can we trust Toland ?
-
Of course we trust Toland. He’s literally been stuffed in the Ascendant Realm trying to figure out exactly how the Hive and Darkness work. He’s got a lot more experience in this matter than anyone else does and that’s a fact. He even told us that we had to fill Oryx’s shoes when we killed him whether we liked it or not because of we didn’t, something bigger and more evil was going to, and look where we are now..

We trust to land! If the hungry crow is there... then there must be tasty bananas and fresh Dasani trees!

I found his Ghost. His Ghost is... well... he is definitely the Toland of Ghosts
-
Just don't trust him at parties.

I like Toland. He has a bigger perspective of things than us. I don't think he necessarily works against us or wants to help. I think he both wants to see the outcome of things and wants to share his knowledge- not so much to be helpful but just to be a snide prick about things. He describes the vanguard as boring, and asks us if we are the same. He is disappointed we didn't take Oryx's throne. He is a guardian who embraced Sword Logic and it effects his perspective on things. Some of my moon findings make me think maybe there is a change in him from who he was and maybe also what he seeks. Mostly, how he talks about how he once looked down on Eris but now respects her. As far as ominous figures who talk about the oncoming end at the hands of a mysterious unstoppable thing, I trust him more than I trust Calus. He warns us of the traps we are walking into, he tells us riddles that hint at veiled truths. He is nihilistic and rude af but I trust the information he gives me to be reliable and not a deception. I don't think he is an agent of some darker force or scheming something for himself. He doesn't seem interested in achieving his own throne world or gaining corporeal form again. Idk what he wants but when I see him floating somewhere I will go listen, even if sometimes he just calls me stupid and shoots off.

<Yeah sure, just not Nightmare Toland, -blam!- that guy.>
-
Absolutely not. Toland is selfish, power-mad, and insanely jealous of us. So I wouldn't trust him as far as I can throw him, and because he is a non-corporeal glow in the dark GPS... I don't think I can throw him very far.

Can we trust the bbc 👀

Bearbeitet von JackofSwords: 10/3/2019 8:39:38 PMNow that he’s dead, I think circumstances have changed. When he was alive, don’t trust him. Now that he’s dead ... I think he serves as a guide and unlike the Queen, can’t come back. He’s “stuck” in between forever. So I think he is more trust worthy now, than when he was alive.

% Probably another haunting memory of a Guardian or one of Toland's fireteam members that realized how -blam!-ed up Toland was, going as far as gettin his own fireteam permanently killed and then his ghost just to learn more about death. %

2 AntwortenToland has his own motives, so trusting him can be dangerous. For a specific example, he went into the Hellmouth to learn the song that describes death, while his Fireteam wanted to kill Crota. He was more or less their guide and he probably knew they would all die without achieving anything, but he didn’t warn them against it and he probably didn’t care much (we do know he cared about them a little; he pitied Eris and hoped she lived).
