After a win-one lose-one streak back to back over and over with a pal of mine in Mythic II, I literally got so tired up and angry that I soloed The Shattered Throne. I never planned to until that one night.
So tips for people!
1. Expect the unexpected.
You may have ran with others, but when you run by yourself, you have to watch your own back. Don't expect enemies to play nice either. They can be extremely aggressive (Taken Captains were my biggest fear) or super passive. Sometimes they'll stay near their spawn. Other times they'll chase you to the end of the frucking world just to deal that final blow, and that certainly is rage-inducing when they break their nature.
2. Be patient with damage and learning how to progess solo.
I'm usually an aggressive Guardian but there was no room for that in this cruel realm. You have to take your time with every single enemy. If you are unsure of what happens next, TAKE YOUR TIME. Rushing gets you killed, and you'll absolutely hate how far you get sent back. Though die as much as you need to adapt to the encounter/corridors/levels.
3. (88% of the time) LEAVE NOTHING ALIVE!
Doesn't matter if it's a shy Taken Thrall or a Hobgoblin that's sight is not on you. If you leave enemies alive, you'll regret it when you're back peddling from a critical hit. The first encounter is the perfect example. Even if random enemies spawn, kill them like they are truly a threat. Because every enemy is when they're armed with BS and a pattern-breaking nature.
To those still eager to try, all you need is Patience and Time. But we don't have the gun in D2 so patience and time will do. And a lot of Play of the Games. Just kidding, just do your best!

42 AntwortenCongrats! This is tough challenge but feels good when you complete it. You plan on trying to do it solo flawless now?

I had the same experience but with the Iron Banana . Made it to giant ogre just fine but one of my GL shots hit an orbiting axion bolt and i got killed while it had around 5% health. Died 2 more times then finished the whole thing. Then went right back in and did my flawless run. Thanks to reckoning mods

Upvoted for my favourite sniper reference. **Patience and Time**
If you've got it, they'll never see it coming.
4 AntwortenAny tips for a warlock at the final boss, just felt like I hit a wall with trying to manage adds and the knights! I stopped playing last night, so I realise I won't get the triumph resuming from where I left off, so it's just practice now!

6 AntwortenI remember doing it for the first time myself. It was when Niobe Labs was still being solved. I got bored watching the streams, so I decided to solo Shattered Throne on a whim. Solo Flawlessed it first try. Here's my advice too for anyone attempting it: - Play a Warlock. It's the easiest class for it IMO. - If you have Taken Barrier, Taken Armaments, or Taken Repurposing, use those. (I like Repurposing a lot bc it lets you abuse Healing Nades on Dawnblade.) - Use Transcendant Blessing mods too if you have them. - Bring a Bow. They're invaluable for the encounters leading up to Vorgeth and Vorgeth himself. - Take your time and be methodical. - Be prepared for a messy two phase or a three phase, especially if your loadout isn't great. For Vorgeth Specifically: - Clear out all the adds around the first three wizards as soon as you can. - Get the Wizards low but don't kill them. Use a void energy weapon to abuse shield break damage (I used Le Monarque.) - Don't let the Petitioner's Mark timer scare you when you clear out the adds at the opposite side of the room. Titans can use their super here since it isn't essential for damage. - You have 40 seconds before you need to dunk to start damage. Take a second to get your bearings and make any loadout changes you need. (I used Threat Level for the Wizards but swapped to Mountaintop for DPS.) - A full set of Swarm ammo and some Mountaintop in a Luna Well is an easy one phase, even solo. Most other DPS options will be a safe two phase. (I think I used Sleeper on my first run.) - Since Vorgeth's beam can physics you into the wall, you just have to accept that the game will screw you over sometimes. For Dul Incaru Specifically: - Again, take your time. If you don't think you can clear adds, kill all three knights, and kill the boss in one phase, don't try. Use the first phase to get the Knights low and the second to finish them and kill the boss. - Hunters with Celestial Nighthawk with a full stack of the buff and some Transcendant Blessing mods can one shot the boss, so you can use your special and heavy for Knight killing if you're using this strat. - Dul Incaru takes reduced explosive damage for some reason, so don't bother using Grenade Launchers to try and DPS her (they're still great for Knight killing though.) - Whisper is still really good for killing the boss. It only takes 8-9 shots with Whispered Breathing to down her.

I gave up on soloing it after wiping twice at the ogre when I had it down to a sliver of health. The first time was really rough because it was just after 4 in the morning after doing comp earlier (I hit fabled during then), and his shields came up just before I could fire one last shot, and I was upset at that, but then I was completely devastated two seconds later when my internet cut out.

Probably didn't do it on a hunter.

Comp also drove me to solo Shattered Throne. Not sick and tired but just to feel a sense of progress and accomplishment. Sometimes it’s easier to make progress in comp solo as well. I always make more progress on my own than with 1 or 2 teammates in my party.

Still need to solo it, just for my own honor. Destiny I soloed Crota, nightfalls, Prison of elders
miss Prison more then expected
And much more.. So actually bad that i still need to do it lol

1 AntwortenCongrates fella, feels dam sweet when you do it....

1 AntwortenIf I get that upset at a game, I'm definitely not going to go play another mode in the same game. Shooter got me down, I'm going to go play Forza or something.

1 AntwortenSubclass tips for Warlock? Tonight I tried to use mountaintop and recluse+tractor cannon and bottom tree nova with lunafaction boots. Used devour to clear the adds, took off the shields with Recluse and killed with mountaintop, and unloaded with tractor cannon and mountaintop. But I could never do enough damage to one phase, or I could just never get to the damage phase. One time I almost 2 phased but died to the respawning adds. Any tips?

1 AntwortenComp made me so ticked off I finally went outside.

3 AntwortenZapiro-4 You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

1 AntwortenMy comp experience was ass yesterday and I basically just stopped caring. Was running in a team 4 and 3 sometimes (I solo'd to 3800) got to 4500 as a team... once there in running into people from BSK stacked recoveries and it's just impossible to win if matchmaking gives you unbalanced games. So I decided you know what I'll just solo... what happened then was just as bad I kept hitting the same 4 stack over and over whilst getting the worst blueberries ever... I'm like how does the skill gap widen so much between who I vs in a team to what I'm exposed to on my own. Pray this solo playlist is good because comp needs it badly.

1 AntwortenI thought the thread title read “Comp made me soil myself”

Hahaha same! As a matter of fact I did it twice this week (well sort of) I still needed to get wish ender so i decided now is the best time to do it before the nerfs. Finally got my wish ender but not sure I'm gonna deal with the witch at the end again for the emblem. (A clan mate had joined for like a minute during my first solo so I didn't get the emblem) put my party on invite only after that one lol.

5 AntwortenThis helped me so much. I was on a hunter but I still did it. It only took 100 tries on vorgeth
