When eververse gets new gear every season while nothing else does, yeah it gets more attention
Burying most things behind paywalls while also charging $35+ for dlcs is kind of extortion. Especially when content will be getting removed
Weapons and gear are tied directly to your level and power level. Hence a 700 weapon will do less damage than a 750. Therefore power creep is attached to power
So in your opinion would it better financially to try keep 14 million players or just 1 million?
Hmm what you said has absolutely nothing to do with building from the bedrock or what the last 5 years was
Ok let’s say this whole people being forced to use certain load outs is a thing(it’s not but ok), how do you think that’s going to change with the buff to Titan bubble? Titan bubble that will have the same effect in raid bosses as well currently does

Bearbeitet von thechair: 9/19/2019 1:44:33 PMthis is sort of a pointless argument, i agree that i'd like ever-verse armor removed and added to the loot pool, but answering your original question, making cosmetic ships to sell takes way less dev time than building say a raid, and they'll continue to do it because the effort to cost ratio is very profitable. Destiny will be offering more free content then ever before, new strikes, new crucible maps, seasonal armor and some seasonal weapons and new destination are all things that used to be locked hard behind pay walls that all players can now experience. If the price tag bothers you don't pay, its amazing how much access free players will get. except that number is meaningless a season later, whereas perks and abilities last forever ( until they are tuned) reread what I said about seasonal power level resets. i think its nearly impossible for any pve focused game to keep the majority of its launch window players still invested 3 years later. Therefore I think its financially smarter cater to the hardcore players who will literally devote hundreds of hours to the game for years and years. (the 1 million) my point was that shadowkeep is a starting point for a new era of destiny, but it still builds off the past years. its not like shadowkeep is a totally different system of destiny suddenly. the same design philosophies that made taken king and forsaken great are being continued in shadowkeep. titan bubble requires player movement and positioning, you can't shoot through the bubble. it also doesn't auto reload like well. Yet it is a great alternative and therefore improves player diversity in options, while hopefully not becoming oppressively good for the reasons i just gave
