Telling people that your opinion is right and theirs is wrong is a clear example of being a bad team player
A good team player will always listen to what others have to say and will discuss their opinion with them and base their decision off that, but a bad team player is one who thinks that their opinion is right and that everyone else is wrong.
[spoiler]Now I'm not going to go into details about it but this came after a rant on YouTube in regards to someone trying to force their opinion on me and say that my suggestion is wrong because I wasnt good enough of a player on D2[/spoiler]
I dont like it when people use their abilities to prove why their opinion is better. Sure you may have more experience in something than me but it doesnt mean that my opinion is any less valid than theirs. It's this lopsided ability problem that people think they are entitled to force an opinion down on someone without saying 'actually' or 'perhaps' you do have some valid points.
I just wish that people would actually consider peoples opinions for once and balance the argument out instead of bias-ing it towards your own.

Well, we all (hopefully) acknowledge that facts dont care about feelings...but since human nature is what it is, that doesnt matter to much. Atleast not to the degree we'd like it to, because feelings dont care about facts. [spoiler]hence why trying to change someone's mind is a waste of time if theyre emotionally connected to "their" ideas and opinions, which is almost always the case.[/spoiler] Oh, and elitism is a total [b][i]B[/i][/b]...

I do not particularly think that a bad player thinks that their opinion is the only correct one. I’d say all humans think that way. It might just be perspective.

The issue is that people seem to have forgotten the difference between opinion and fact. Facts are objective. They cannot change, they are either right or wrong, no gray area in between. Not all problems can be solved by facts alone like complex moral or philisophical issues, such as euthanasia or something. Opinions are subjective. They can change, and there is no such thing as a right or wrong opinion. However, opinions are built off of a person's experiences, personalities, and facts. Where the lines blur between fact and opinion is that sometimes in debates, people base their opinions off of incorrect facts, so their stance is inarguable and maybe even not their true stance. Perhaps if the person were provided with correct facts, then they would change their stance (keep in mind they don't always change because people can be stubborn like that). "Invalid" or "Incorrect" opinions are just lazy ways of someone trying to tell you that you're opinion is based off of bad facts, regardless whether that is true or not.

All true and I'm a strong believer in hearing differing perspectives - it's important to keep conversation going. However, opinions can be right and wrong when someone confuses the subjective and the objective, and that should also be respected. Not saying that's the case for your experience though.
