This is probably more harm than good because RIP all current meta and you should expect to revert back to Whisper. (way to make it "viable" again)
This benefit's one gun: Izanagi, so that's gonna rule too, if the reload isn't crap

You can expect all raids to be largely more annoying instead of challenging (because we should know better by now)
1-phasing as a thing is likely gone, meaning you're risking more wipe causing deaths and wasting more time for something that may easily not be worth it.
Say goodbye to Riven because 90% of people running that raid are never going to do it legit after they find out that cheesing her is likely going to be impossible (Unless Izanagi saves the day or if we class restrict even harder on 5 nighthawks)

Say hello to a much crappier LFG experience because not everyone can avoid dying forever, and with a lower damage output, you again risk a lot of wasted time

Given the best guns are going to be snipers (again) It's likely for yet another wobbly target sign of a raid boss, so prepare for your "challenge" of accuracy Guardians, because there's no way in hell this isn't exactly why this nerf is happening.
I for one will be surely disappointed if Garden of Salvation is not made harder through new and innovated mechanics that shake up the norm for a fight in a good way (not bad because we get Reckoning 2) but through the same tired formula and nerfs

Now they'll go into the ever growing MOUNTAIN of useless exotics. Might as well make them Legendary. And Titans already had zero utility, lets make it even worse! Bungo sure knows how to take the fun out of a video game. I want to know which streamer complained about Lunaboots and rally barricades now lol Bungo just doesn't know how to make challenging and fun content is what it simmers down to. Virtually every raid boss is stationary (except SOTP) and they all have obvious damage phases. Shadowkeeps new raid BETTER have an entirely new boss mechanic we have never seen. Otherwise, they're just nerfing this stuff because, they're afraid we'll beat it too easily again.

19 AntwortenThis is the result of a lack of creativity on Bungies raid dev's. It's been the same basic raid processes since D1: Shoot the boss, do a dance, jump on a plate in some kind of order, shoot something in order, and kill the glowing guy to get the boss's shield to drop and then DPS him while he is standing in the same place and unless he is stomping on you he...….NEVER MOVES. Because he never moves wells, bubbles, lunafaction, barriers, etc all work so bungies typical response is to Nerf it and hardcore PVE community thinks its a great idea so there is no 1 phase. How about make a raid boss actually do something other than stand in one place like a dumb shit waiting to be shot in the face and occasionally shooting back while guardians are flying all over the place doing some stupid puzzle to make the boss vulnerable???

I think it’s just a poor development choice. Instead of creating new encounters with different mechanics ( grant it we haven’t seen the new raid but I’m willing to bet you do a thing, stand still in the thing, shoot the thing.) This really does nothing except shift the meta off things like mountaintop and rocket launchers. Look at the unique ways to kill a boss like Crota, or Oryx, and others like it This will just make LFG even more aggressive with requirements. Now everyone will have to have Iza’s burden and the catalyst and a spike launcher in the heavy. One warlock using Luna’s and a titan with bubble and helm of saint-14...... if anything the meta is more bottle-necked. Let’s just hope they have interactive encounters in the raid.....probably not

2 AntwortenWe'll see how much reloads are sped up before we make any assumptions. But in general, any time something becomes a "gotta have" in most game modes (PvP or PvE), it's sadly going to get wrecked. That began way back with D1 and Mythoclast, SUROS Regime, and the mighty Gjallie.

IMO auto reloading shouldn’t have been a thing in the first place, it trivialises most of the content but at the same time pretty much forces you to run at least one of them. D1 didn’t need auto reloading and it was fine

Exotics are supposed to be, hear me out....Exotic!!! They are supposed to give you something ridiculous. God borderlands cant get here soon enough.

Community - Bungie, we want things to be a little more challanging. Better, smarter enemies that dont rely on mechanics that were used in 1999 like stomp. We want more variety in how we go at attempting each activity every time we attempt it Bungie - Ok we hear you, but hear us out. Making content is hard for us. It burns us out and makes us not want to work on our game anymore to the point we come into work in our pajamas, even though we had 2 other studios helping us. So we're instead just going to nerf you into oblivion that way WE dont have to input any actuall effort so we can kick our feet up and pat each other on the back because working on content is hard and requires us to think, and our brain no like to do the think. Enjoy

This is what happens when there is Tier-0 items in a game, the get the nerf bat justified or not. I'm honestly suprised they didn't neuter well into oblivion, but this is a nessesary change if there is to be *any* semblance of challenge in this game. Sure yes, Whisper is back to being a top tier weapon in some cases, but Tractor cannon, 1-2 Punch+Liars Handshake, Swarm still will exist and will decimate most bosses in short order even with the need to actually stop shooting and reload them. Rocket Launchers became useless unfortunately, but anything with a clip full of dakka should be at least OK if not in good shape

I really do not think it will make the game more challenging. I think it will take longer and just drag out the boss fights. I would rather 1 phase, beat it and start up a new raid, strike, mission, encounter, etc than sit through multiple damage phases 🤷♂️ but that's just me.

Unlike a lot of my fellow 'Locks, I really enjoy playing a support class, and the synergy between Luna/Well is such a vital part of fulfilling that roll, that I worry about the viability of ever running them over another exotic when they no longer auto-reload. On the other hand, maybe I can run Starfire Protocol instead for double healing grenades. Ultimately, as long as the Well still gives the same health and damage buffs, I'm sure we will make it work. What I don't want is to have it become an inferior version of Ward of Dawn. Otherwise my Warlock will be pretty much done in favour of my Titan.

2 AntwortenSo... Did you not play destiny 1 or do you just have a personal hatred for reloading? Fact is auto reload makes things to easy and end game bosses should be challenging. Sorry you can’t get your check point from a lfg group, save it on 3 characters and finish them all in an hour, most of that time being spent in orbit. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not annoyed at you post and I can see where your coming from but just... no.

I have mixed feelings on this....should a raid be challenging? Yes, by all means but that doesn't mean 1, or 2 deaths should be cause for a wipe either. That is not challenging, that is just stupid and makes the community toxic because people get frustrated when they are having to restart an encounter over and over which leads to KWTD in the LFG post and keeps people from wanting to help others, imo. Also, if i gotta run it legit that's fine, did it all the time in D1, but make the loot worth the effort. Quit giving us reskins and get on your creators ass to come up with something the community wants to play for and is worth doing the raid for. Raids are fun with the right people, but at the end of the raid it's disappointing when you basically have nothing worth your effort. But the nerfs just keep on coming, lol. It's just irritating that Bungie comes up with an exotic, pinnacle weapons, etc and just nerfs 'em beyond use.
