I understand certain activities will go away after a season do to our actions. But I really hope New or old Pinnacle End Game Content will not dissapear.
After reading today's blog post. It got me thinking as if Garden of Salvation was a limited time event. Or worse The Shattered Throne will dissapear after we break the curse. Or any upcoming dungeon after we do a thing
To me i feel like these activities specifically should NEVER, EVER go away. They are just to important for the game to just simply retired

This talk of file size isnt true. I've got at least 3 games that are 100gb plus on my xbox right now and none of them have issues loading. If it is a problem it's because of Bungies architecture. Either there was never a plan to do this or redoing the original game 6 months before release meant corners were cut. Either way it shouldn't be us footing the bill.

They pretty much explained that each new season will have a menagerie type mode, that will be used to advance the story. The first 1 being a Vex Invasion mode. After season of the Undying concludes, I'm assuming, we as guardians repell the Vex threat, that activity will go away. And then in the next season, a new, most likely 6 player match made activity will become available to help push forward the new story being told in the next season. It's not raids, or dungeons.

Bearbeitet von Zelrons: 8/31/2019 7:35:11 PMThere's a lot of old content you probably haven't touched in ages. Every new season has tried adding a new activity. It becomes impractical to try to continue to support all of them or expect to even play them all.

Current playable content in the game isn’t going anywhere

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Niinja Slayer: 8/31/2019 6:34:04 PMThey won’t go anywhere and the curse will probably end very soon, I.e. around when Shadowkeep launches. Once we hit 999+? And kill Dul Incaru, The old stuff just won’t be featured or give powerful gear or anything.

81 AntwortenDid... did anyone read the post? Invasions will stop. They are like the sword of crota or pack of wolves from D1. The activity for the season will end. This is like Gambit Prime, Forges, Menagerie from the annual pass. It will roll over into the next season story wise. The loot you go from said activities will be achievable again at some point in time. "But why would they just remove content they make?" You ask? 1. They said content will be streamlined, this sounds (just an assumption) like all the seasonal content will play out the same, most likely in more of a Court Of Oryx, Archons Forge, EP, kind of way. 2. Makes the game feel more like an evolving world, this is subjective and we need to see if Its good or bad but we should give it a chance for Year 3, If it sucks we riot and if its good, yay! 3. They can't "technically" grow the game forever as Luke Smith said so this seems like a way of adding content without making the game too big for hardware to run.

3 AntwortenRaids will never go away. Bungies smarter than that, and there’s no premise to take them away. Stuff like blind well, forges, and maybe dungeons COULD be taken away, but they also might just stay.
-
Bearbeitet von TheBostonbean: 8/31/2019 1:54:41 PMI'm pretty sure Dungeons, Raids and Strikes will not disappear. I believe the things that will disappear might be more along the type of missions you see in the Solstice events. Luke Smith also gave an example of something like the forge going away.

4 AntwortenIf any of 1st Destiny's raids had disappeared, there would have been a huge uproar. I don't think a lot of people would miss any of D2's raids.

Bearbeitet von draycole: 8/31/2019 1:34:38 PMPretty sure they Said matchmade activities would be going away So like the reckoning or the forges

When I hear the world will change. That makes me think of public events, enemy patterns in patrol and other patrol events changing. I would think the part of content in self contained instances would stay unless, there is a story reason to get rid of them.

1 AntwortenThe word is "due"

15 AntwortenHere's the thing dude.. What's the point in keeping those activities if the story line around those same activities gona be resolved at the end of each season, making them pointless at the end!? Not saying that bungie gona take those things away, but you get how stupid all this new bs around how they gona deliver content is and doesn't make any sense at all. They can take it away too and bring it back later or in a year since this new content looks like premium season events... But at this point I think bungie have no idea what they're doing or what they want to their game. Looks like they're just trying to find a away to fund the company. Anyway, I know I'm not gona buy the "annual season battle pass fortnite legends" bs they're selling us and at this point I don't know if I'm gona pré order shadowkeep base expansion pack.

Come on op...

2 AntwortenBut the raid boss is now dead for the season .... I can see them doing that.

3 AntwortenMostly everyone here is missing my point, kinda hilarious tbh. I simply dont want dungeons and raids to go away. I have my own opinions about seasonal content. As I said PINNACLE END GAME ACTIVITIES THAT ACTUALLY MATTER (AS IN DUNGEONS, RAIDS, AND EXOTIC MISSIONS LIKE WHISPER) should stay in the game, regardless of lore or what actions we do in the game, which I now know they are in fact, staying in.
-
12 AntwortenAs if. Think about it. Why would Bungie delete something that took so much to create? Guaranteed they are talking about stupid events, like the faction rallies.
-
17 AntwortenThey should only add on, not take away. They're literally killing their own game
-
there their they're don't dispare due to what they do
-
Dungeons, maybe. Raids, probably not.
-
2 AntwortenI agree, but lore wise, Shatteres Throne must go away eventually, because the curse will be lifted eventually. Maybe just keep the dungeon opened because... why not?
-
2 AntwortenYou’ll have 90 days to play them and then they’re vanishing into thin air Kaiser Soze style.
-
I imagine the only stuff that would disappear is stuff like the forges or the menagerie. Not raids or dungeons.
-
They won’t. Only “seasonal activities”. Gear, raids, dungeons, locations, etc. do NOT disappear. Regardless of what everyone is saying.
