Why are you guys afraid of letting people know what to expect? Why drip feed this info? Is it because you are afraid that the more the customer knows, the less likely they will buy your stuff?

Is a straight increase better? Is a perk like triple top better? Is a perk that overflows the magazine base on the number of explanations better? Combination of ideas? Given the other changes, does this change in Sunshot versus that make it overpowered to the rest of the sandbox. Vw

See that is the kind of info they should be sharing. Not this ‘we will give you more info in the coming weeks’ nonsense. But for some reason, bungie doesn’t want to communicate , they want to dripfeed info like they dripfeed content into the game. For some reason bungie is stuck on time gating everything

Bearbeitet von rf_whisper: 8/28/2019 3:19:27 PMBecause something may not work, or has to change. Essentially, they've communicated what is important - Sunshot is getting buffed, without communicating details that will create problems Bungie said that they were expanding the magazine to 13,but it only increased by 1. Bungie lied! They don't benefit from oversharing minute details. It is much better for them to overshare vision, lessons learned, etc. (see Director's Cut)

It’s been all these years and bungie still doesn’t know if changing something will break their game. That is not a good sign tbh. I mean other studios can share info on things they are changing, why not bungie?

Take Overwatch. They are vague with what is changing until it hits the PTR, where they go into detail of some of the ideas that they are thinking of. Based on the PTR, the idea stays on gets pulled. Warframe shows early development in the devstreams, but it does modify things from feedback - and they still release stuff in a bad state At the heart of the problem is that Bungie update process is to slow. Both Overwatch and Warframe have had multiple balance changes and updates since D2 last sandbox change
-
For sure, I am more than willing to put up with a bug in a patch in warframe, because they communicate. Bungie is not only slow to fix things, but they barely communicate to the point that it is comical

No, because he can't say anything without their permission, and if it changes, he will be blamed
-
Why would it change this late in the game? Are they that unstable?
-
They're not done making changes until it comes out. It's not instability, it's just how the game gets made
-
Sounds like somebody winging it to me tbh
-
Yeah but you dont know how game development works more than likely. Neither do i and thats sort of the point.

I know how tasks are done tho, you lay out what you want to do, and then you work to achieve that. It’s the same process with every task ever
