Now I understand why Bungie made one of the requirements that to upgrade the Solstice chest armor from blue to purple, you have to get 200 Void grenade kills.
This says VOLUMES about how seriously poor and useless all three VOID grenade types are on the Hunter.
Enemies simply walk around the Vortex Grenade. It does not “trap” anyone. You have to hit an enemy in the face with it for it to kill anything, and then it’s usually only one kill because all the other enemies stay away until it stops being a void hole. So, I just walked into the little room on Titan with three Hive in it next to the platform where the Fallen bring in their armory - “again”. They were all bunched together, so I threw a Vortex grenade in that small space. Not only did all three Hive survive, that all still had full health. Useless!
The Spike Grenade is supposed to attach to ANY surface, but you can’t stick it to an enemy like the Titan’s Fusion Grenade, and if you miss by so much as an inch, the void light simply goes straight up because the grenade “attaches” to the ground and the enemies simply walk around the void light torrent. If you try sticking it to a wall behind an enemy, it had better be a flat one or you will have no idea where the light torrent is going to go.
The Voidwall grenade does indeed put out a wall of void light. The problem is that you have no idea what direction the wall is going to go. Usually, it runs AWAY from the baddies you are trying to kill, so they simple stand still & wait for the wall to burn itself out. Again, NO KILLS. Would be REALLY nice if the Void Wall ACTUALLY WENT TOWARD THE ENEMY!
This is just one small instance out of hundreds that all lead up to the fact that Bungie actively works against the players, all the time telling them that they are trying to make things “better”. Yeah, right!
PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!

Bearbeitet von MightyJandal: 8/13/2019 10:39:41 PMThe fact they chose void tells you they’re implying that you use the tether to make it easier. Throw tether down, throw your grenade at the center and the tether will spread the splash damage to everything its got a hold of. If this was 200 arc or 200 solar then it would be a real kick in the guts ala IB armour grind.
-
Tether first then Vortex grenade it will go faster, whatever's tethered will die when grenaded and counts towards your progress, just look for groups of ads an hope to save your super/grenade till then, load up with mods to help cool downs

On my Hunter I just started level 1 EP. Kite till there are quite a few thrall. Then grenade. Took a bit of time, but it wasn’t too too bad. Just what I did, I know it’s not for everyone.
-
Try tethering a lot of ads and then chucking in a vortex grenade.

After complete my hunter set, i proceed to warlock set, just got the blue warlock last week and guess what, that step require 200 void WEAPON kill lol. Bungie really hate hunter xD
-
It really made no sense to me that they choice void grenades. Both of the other subclasses have better grenades and titans and warlocks have better void grenades. I mean ideally it should have been solar melee for the hunter then warlocks could have void grenades and titans arc supers and all three would have been easy to grind but still would have taken some time.

2 AntwortenUse this code on the Wish Wall to go to the Shuro Chi checkpoint, then approach the door and use a Vortex Grenade on all the Thrall that spawn, which is like 20-24 kills per grenade.

Also, if thrall were trying to jump me, I'd throw one at my feet and hide in the center of it. Little -blam!-s would run into it, and turn to dust.

4 AntwortenOr do EP wave 1 and throw your grenades. You’re working against yourself here.
