At this time PvP is nearly as awful to play as gambit is. Quickplay is nothing but supers that can't be killed unless you coordinate with teammates, which is something that will not be happening when a fist of havoc busts through the door and your 5 blueberries scatter to the wind only to be gunned down by the rest of the enemy team further feeding the constant super loop. Matchmaking is nonexistent and the lack of it makes solo queueing an absolute nightmare when paired up with more solo queues and having to face a 5-6 stack. Comp is about as close to dead as something can be without actually being dead, most of my queue times tend to be a minimum of 15 minutes regardless of the number of guardians in my fireteam, and that mixed with no real rewards after fabled, there is no reason to even think of going into comp. Hopefully, we can get the state of supers addressed soon, see a revitalization of competitive, and see some sort of solo queue protection from the dreaded 6 stack.

4 AntwortenI don’t blame players for stacking anymore. Have you seen these damn blueberries? They’re absolute dog shit.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von iBett x: 8/12/2019 11:06:03 AMCrucible is broken and always will be. Its too inconsistent. Here is examples of why this is: Connections I'm not fully clued up on connections/servers etc. but I am highly sure that because there is no dedicated servers and its done peer 2 peer, people are at an advantage/disadvantage. Examples of this is when 1. you shoot first and you clearly shoot their head/body but there is no damage numbers because of dodgy hit detection. 2. Same gun, same situation, relatively same similar rolls and stats, and you shoot first, person doesn't die but they shoot second and you die. 3. Getting shot around a corner; occasionally around 2 corners. With that being said - it clearly eliminates true player vs player skill as you are pretty much relent on luck, with of course, general knowledge of the game and good hand and eye coordination. Spawning For the love of sweet baby Jesus, fix the spawning. The amount of times you get spawn killed or kill someone who has just spawned is ridiculous. In addition, spawning someone into a super is even more ridiculous. Heavy ammo Recently I've been having issues with heavy not being picked up even though the hold X (Xbox) bar is full. I've picked heavy, ran away to then realise I do not have heavy. Yeah, you could stand longer than you should but that then gives more of an opportunity to be killed. I could go on for days surrounding Crucible but to recap: Crucible is too inconsistent with peer 2 peer connections stopping any true player vs player skill because of advantages/disadvantages to peoples' hit detection etc. Oh, and more recently I played comp where it was only 6 players with no stacks but instead of 3 v 3, it was 4 v 2...

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von W33DEDPLAGUE: 8/12/2019 2:03:30 PMI know, you know, we know, Bungie knows. They haven't touched it in a year because they have been working on completely transforming it. They even have a reveal coming dedicated solely to pvp. It's not going to change until Shadowkeep, so we have to wait abother few weeks. Changes are coming though, all we can do is chill and wait.

1 AntwortenThe run time on certain roaming supers needs adjusting. The frequency of heavy ammo appearing needs to be halved.
-
I'm not sure why you state "right now" in the thread title. D2 PvP has been dogshit since the beta. And Bungo's pathetic insistence on balancing the entire game around it led, in part, to the absolute dross that was D2Y1. Now D2 is just a barbie dress sim as Bungo try and milk your wallets as far as they possibly can.
-
4 AntwortenNothing will change till another company creates another game like Destiny. Then Bungie will try its best to keep the fan base attached. The fact that at the moment Destiny 2 is the most played PvP shooter in the world shows that Bungie is doing good job - not fixing the game but still keeping the crown. Not sure what will happen when Halo Infinite comes out but we shall see... Till that time all those discussions are pointless!

8 AntwortenThe Meta is all about the Low-Skill-Thrill. If it's not an instant kill or less than .8s kill, it's garbage. Period. 99% of your guns? Garbage. Scouts, Autos, Sidearms, Linear Fusion Rifles, Fusion Rifles, and Bows? Garbage. Any mod that isn't a Super Mod? Garbage. Nerfs? They don't matter. The second the Meta changes, the crowd just moves to the next Low-Skill-Thrill option, like a horde of flies buzzing to a new pile of shit. That's the Crucible. If you're relying on "skill" to win Crucible matches for you, you already lost before the load screen.

Scatter my ass, Smirks in Suppression grenades.... Bring it Meta Striker!

I would like a gametype with more than 12 players, like big team battle back in Halo. Vehicles and stuff. That's one thing I liked back in D1 just to mess around casually when drunk.

The fix isn't rocket science: 1. Tone down (or get rid of) super damage reduction/armor. All of it, including BB hunters, Novabomb locks and any one shot super. -You pop your super at a bad time in panic and get blasted? Good, you lose it. -Running across the map as a Raiden Warlock or crushing titian? Meet my fusion rifle. The warlock middle tree super has no armor, and that's why no one is afraid of it. 2. Lower heavy drops 3. Lower special ammo drops/ make scavenger not stack more than once But what's Bungo going to do? Tweak the game slightly till it's perfect? HECK NO. They are going drop a massive "Fix all" patch that will bring more problems then solutions, and we will be stuck there for another year.

Please just leave I do agree gambit is crap too

42 AntwortenBearbeitet von Sage: 8/14/2019 3:46:31 AMThis is for my stat collection as I'm trying to see why I'm having a blast but others are not. You have 22hrs 51mins of PvP time 1.04 Overall KD 1.06 Comp KD (it is ok good- u can break even most of the time). I am noticing most people in the .90-1.10 KD range are not having a fun time- and that is because of matchmaking. I am in the 1.15-1.30 range and I only see complaints from mostly people below 1.2 kd. This has nothing against you- this is for my tracking purpose on a master thread I'm doing EDIT
HEY! So I read the 42 replies so far- I love the conversation I am reading.
nah. it's fine.

Don't play it if u don't like it 👍

Disagree. Gambit made changes to the matchmaking several months ago. The experience has improved dramatically. You see far fewer clan teams pub stomping, and matches are much more competitive. I earned the Dredgen title playing solo. Gambit still has problems but I can actually enjoy playing Gambit. Crucible OTOH is a rolling trash fire. Bad matchmaking. Bad map design. Poorly tuned sandbox. Bad game design were everything is a snowball mechanic such that losing teams get stomped. Pinnacle weapons running amok. Roaming supers with way too much damage resistance. I had a bottom tier Strike Titan basically run me down literally from one end of the map to the other will face-tanking Fire the whole way. The combination of speed and damage-resistance make the supers almost uncounterable if you don’t have your own super or heavy. The Crucible play experience is simply miserable for the average player.

8 Antworten
At this time PvP is nearly as awful to play as gambit is.
Not even. I can actually win in Gambit and have fun. Can't do that in Quickplay.

2 mins of gun play followed by OMG run away from all the supers and heavy ammo.

No other game has actually made me genuinely wish painful, slow death upon the creator and their family. That's all I'll say. It's astonishing how much the PVP in this game manages to anger me. Almost a phenomenon worth studying, really. Yet the game constantly makes you play PVP if you want something.

Stay out of comp then if its that bad.

2 AntwortenRemember back in year 1 when people said that making the ttk faster would help with stacks and teamshooting? It’s almost how sad how wrong those people were.

4 AntwortenA fusion with back up plan shuts down supers fast.

I was playing doubles and I was matched against two unstacked unbrokens, I barely have a 1.3 overall kd, so this was a roffle stomp...
