I smile, happy to have one more pair of hands for a change. I walk onto the arena, readying myself for the onslaught. With my back to hammer, I start to think myself...and decide on one final action. “Hey “Mysterious Figure”, since I could die right now I’d appreciate it if you told me your name and show yourself!” I say this carefully, not sure what this contractor is capable of.

Her understood why and a light turned on in a room and a older man with two guards by his side with machine guns were next to him. He was in a wheelchair with a breathing machine leading tubes into his nose. He had a microphone in front of him to speak into. He was older and must've lead this group for many, many years. He seemed like he was happy though in his days. "We will meet if you survive this. There is only three tests." He says.
-
I smile, while I may feel heartless right now, I was looking forward to meeting this man. I turn to each of my allies, nodding to signal that I’m ready. And the I turn to the man and looked straight into his eyes. They were dark, so dark...I quickly averted my gaze to somewhere else in his general direction and said three words. “Bring the heat.”

The doors behind your close and doors in front of you open as you get rushed and sniper shots quickly turn into machine gun fire as hundreds of bodies are coming in as he shoots them in their heads. The arrows weren't coming yet. Why wasn't he doing anything? Hammer was swinging his hammer at them and shooting them in their stomachs causing it to go through multiple enemies at once.
-
Confused, but determined, I begin to pick off enemies with my crossbow. They would charge me, almost as to challenge me, and I would swipe them down with my machete in hand. After an hour of fighting, I noticed the archer still hadn’t fired. I shout to my allies “Screw him! Let’s make our way to higher ground!”
-
"Follow me!" Longshot says. He walks backwards knowing the steps and knowing all the passages as he hits a wall and it opens as the lights go out so only you guys know about the passages as Hammer helps you through it as the door closes and the lights back on so you can get there. There were better weapons then your crossbow along the walls.
I'm going to bed and be creative with your weapon as there are modifications as well that your can choose. Have fun as I'll be back in the morning!
Bearbeitet von Veggehtehbull: 8/2/2019 3:06:29 AMFeeling that I was clear for the time being, I carefully put together my weapon. After what felt like an eternity, I had created it. A 50 caliber magnum. It looked small, but it would easily deal with those beasts. It also looked somehow familiar, it reminded him of a better time. When I could do what I wanted without bloodthirsty animals after me. What was the weapon from? He couldn’t remember, but it would come to me eventually.
ok it’s been fun! I’ll be sure to pick up on this tomorrow.
Hammer had turned his sawed off shotgun into a double barrel automatic firing shotgun with a grenade launcher attachment. Longshot just made a pistol. It was a .44 Magnum. Heavy hitter. He seemed to know a lot about guns mostly. What was his life like before he became this?
-
I had decided to modify my crude machete, transforming it into a powerful longsword. I knew how handy this would be on the battlefield. Satisfied with my work, me and my allies made our way out of the armory.
-
"We have 7 rounds left." Longshot says. He was in his spot pointing his Magnum at enemies and shooting them, it was silenced but they all went down in one hit.
-
‘This is taking a while,’ I thought to myself, maybe it’s time to change things up. “Longshot”, I say,”is there anyway we can kill them faster?”
-
"Hammer, you know what to do." Longshot says as they switch guns. Hammer turns the sniper into a machine gun and Longshot turns a knob on the shotgun and the barrel gets as long as a musket barrel. Hammer jumps over the railing smashing some with his boots and all you see is a spray of bullets and Longshot shoots nonstop hitting any target he aimed for. A arrow went through five of them at once. There the Bowman was.
-
“Bout time,” I say smiling. “Let’s kick some ass.” We mow through wave after wave of enemy, the sound of gunfire filling our ears and blood spilled over us. Even as we’re pushing through, I begin to realize how exhausted I’ve become. ‘Just a little longer,’ I tell myself, a special kind of determination flowing through my veins. The determination to kill.
-
"Last wave, be ready, they have guns now."Longshot says as a bullet hits his ear. "SHIT!" he yelled out holding his ear. He was out as Hammer made a shield protecting everyone as he made his way back up there.
-
Using my magnum as covering fire, I make my way back to where Longshot sat. “Are you alright?” I asked.
-
"-blam!-in hell, I got shot in the ear. Its ringing so loud..." Longshot says. "You passed the test!" The voice says as all the bodies were dead. It was a massacre... Hammer was dead though, he had shot a enemy as they shoved a cleaver through his neck.
-
“Son of a-man I was really starting to like that guy,” there was no time for mourning though, it was time to collect. “Cmon Longshot, no time to bury the dead.” I said this with a hint of malice that I didn’t intend.
-
He grabs your arm and a spike of pain would flow through it. "You're -blam!-in helping me bury him later at least. If you don't, there will be hell to pay." He says scowling.
-
I sigh, while I may be heartless I had a feeling I didn’t want to get on his bad side. Besides, he was my “battle buddy”, if I was going to respect any dead, it was gonna be him. I nodded at Longshot, “My apologies,” I say sincerely, “I should be a little more sympathetic. Cmon, let’s go give him a proper funeral.”
-
He wraps a bandage around his head and ear. Obviously temporary, he got up and lifted up Hammer... He was holding back tears as he jumped to the ground and too Hammer's weapons as well. "Boss, we will be back. We have to bury Alvin. I don't care what you say. You -blam!-in owe me one for this event. My friend died in front of me. Also you owe this guy a spot on our team. No one ever survives it but he did and he's making sure I'm ok and Alvin gets buried." He says. Hammer's name was Alvin. He obviously didn't care about the codenames. "So be it." The boss says letting the mourning of a loss of a hunter. The Bowman jumps down and walks to you. "You did good kid." He says and pats your back. He walked ahead with Longshot.
-
I didn’t expect to see such a reaction from Hammer, but as we bury Alvin I begin to understand why. If I had fought alongside someone for over 20 years I guess I would have an emotional bond too. As we finish the burial, I ask Hammer, “Any words for our friend here?”
-
Longshot is the one who is burying him alongside the Bowman. Hammer died.
"May he hunt in the heavens and watch over us in our battles in life. Especially you. He fought to protect you mostly. He knew I wouldn't go easily. He texted me earlier before you got there. He knew you'd survive. My name is Raven." Longshot says. The Bowman watches this. They pressed a button on their mask and it retracts. A man with long white hair was under the mask. "Raven, I'll take him to the boss for the final ceremony. You can have as long as you want. Come on, kid. Ask me anything you want to know. I'll answer any and all questions at this point." He says as takes you work him to the top of the building.
-
oops my bad
As we walk along I feel a lot of things, but 2 two specific things stand out to me. Pride, and fatigue. Regardless I fire off a few questions. “Ok first off why on earth me? I could be anywhere now but I’m stuck killing because why not? Also who are you? And where are we? And...and...ugh...” I feel like I’m about to pass out, my mind can’t process all of this.
-
"Here drink some water. It'll help. Sit down for a second as well. I know it's tough with all of this going on. Me, Raven and Alvin all did it. So just sit down and take a breather. I'm the one who chooses who I want to recruit. We're in a old abandoned warehouse. We bought it from the city. I'm the next leader of the group." He says. His legs were metal. He had prosthetics. What happened to him? He did have a very nice armor sit for his body. He was slim and his armor was light. He must've been very flexible at one point.
-
I sip the water slowly as I try and find a question that will answer all of my other, my head spinning way too fast for any type of mental work. Finally I decide maybe it’s best just to rest here for a minute. I think back to what it was like before this, back on my farm with my family, living in a small house, happy and content. After mourning what I feel is a past life, I come up with two questions that should be sufficient. “Why me, and what cause this organization to pop up?”
-
"We've always been here. Just layed low in the dark. We've been watching you and saw the way you argued with your family sometimes and thought maybe this might be better. You don't have to live here. You can still live with them. You just can't talk about the organization. You can live in the base. I love in the base because I don't have any home. Your saw Raven. He acts like a wiseass a lot. He has a wife and about five kids. He joined this job as he was an alcoholic and lost privilege to see his family. His wife loves him enough to say he's on the baseball team she runs in Chicago and he gets payed in increments that make it look right for that. He goes to court tomorrow and they're going to give him a sobriety test. We're all normal here. We just don't have a normal job. You understand what I mean?" He asks.
