I started Destiny 2 first time couple months ago. It's been a grind just getting to 710 as I have life obligations. I really like the game but, sometimes I feel I'll never get there with the end gamers and it's hard to keep the interest when you have to grind so long and get nothing. The rng in this game sucks. I'm about to go back to my other game I've played five years. At least my grind and rng is 90% better and I can get somewhere. It's not easy being a nube, but please fix the rng. Maybe more newcomers will want to stay.

Take a small break. Come back for Shadowkeep, and your new blue gear drops will instantly get you somewhere. All things become fresh again. lol

This is destiny. For the most part the game will absolutely waste your time and not be rewarding. This is only fun with friends and playing solo is a nightmare on how boring it can be. Also everything you earn of value will be eventually made useless by Bungie as that is there buisness model. The shooting is top notch though

2 AntwortenMy suggestion to you is this. Spend a few days to a week, getting your other characters caught up. Take the weapons you are using on your Warlock and equip them to your Hunter or Titan. Then run the dailies and weeklies on one of them. Then swap the weapons and do it on the last guardian. Don't infuse anything except your weapons, and perhaps the armor of your main, which looks like is your Warlock, at least at this moment. Use the menagerie after you complete your weeklies to fill in the pieces that rng hasn't blessed you with. Then rinse and repeat for a few weeks. You will have 3 750s in no time. Some other tips. Obviously keep at least one piece per slot that is the highest power level, but dismantle everything else, unless you get a roll that you simply love on a piece of gear. You can save that gear on your character, or in your vault to infuse after you get to 750. By dismantling everything else, you will get both shards and weapon parts. Weapon parts can be used to get more things to dismantle for shards. Then on the weekends, find xur. You can buy a random exotic for 97 a week, as well as a specific weapon and a 1 armor piece per class. Finally, there's absolutely no reason to rush. The content isn't going anywhere. And come September, New light, should bring in new players so things that have long que times now, should have quicker matchmaking. You can play D2, two different ways. You can treat it like a 50 yard dash, and try to as much as you can, as fast as you can, but risk burning out. Or you can treat it as a marathon, and take it in stride, taking breaks or slowing your grind, to avoid burning out.

Yeah, it’s almost as if playing the game more makes you better at it... Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out.
-
1 Antwortenthe end game is temporary. by the time you hit 750, the goal will be 800. 🤷🏽♂️
-
It's not that bad to get to the soft cap. Once you hit that getting to max is a bit harder. Run menagerie and hitting max light is easier.
-
End game in destiny? HA goodjoke.
-
Trust me. The content is going no where! This is the common misconception with this game. Content goes no where and you can play it any time. The only thing you might miss out is events, but events are events like all other games.. also with events you have more time then you need
-
I agree as far as the rng but if you’re a new player dont bother rushing to max light level. You’re better off just playing for fun until you decide if you really enjoy the game and want to grind for various things.

Give it time. Obviously it’s going to take awhile to get where everyone else is when your just starting out. Go join a clan, make some friends. Do your dailies and weeklies. Buy stuff from Xur. Definitely try raids. The game is an mmo. It’s rng. Look at games like borderlands and WoW. You get tons of trash and maybe 1 good stat weapon. After hours of grinding. This isn’t just an FPS. It’s gonna take some time to get things. Just keep going, ask for help, and keep grinding. Of course it’s going to be easier to get stuff when you’ve been playing for 5+ years. It’s the same for destiny. Many of us have every exotic and every weapon, searching for the perfect rolls and perks. If you’ve spent the time then it’s going to take awhile yeah. You really don’t need exotics for endgame anyways. Warlocks might need lunafaction, but it’s not required for anything Just keep doing powerful and grinding. Try out some raids(last wish and scourge) and other endgame activities. Do the menagerie. I’d recommend Datto on YouTube if you need any guides on anything. Or AztecrossGaming. Both excellent. Look, what I’m trying to say, is the game isn’t going to hand stuff out. The rng is there. But there are plenty of non rng items you can grind for. Such as lumina, thorn, last word, bad juju, truth, outbreak, and others. There are plenty of exotic quests out there. And powerful are always going to give high gear. Focus on those for now and you’ll get exotics along the way. You obviously haven’t played that much if your a lower light anyways. Exotics are rare and are going to stay that way for awhile most likely.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von cesar0s: 7/22/2019 8:54:58 PMYou're over 700...you are an "end gamer". big dumdum. As for RNG, I can't fault you for being ignorant. D2 began with NO RNG, because everyone cried about RNG in D1. Fast forward and everyone cried about not having RNG. Fast forward again, and everyone is crying about RNG again. They implement pinnacle weapons which guarantee powerful items and everyone cries about them. They implement items that you know EXACTLY where to farm for them...and everyone cries about them. moral of the story, everyone who plays Destiny sucks and doesn't know what they want.

Good luck to you. There is a vocal contingent of players in this game that seems to think it's fine that Bungle requires you to do the same thing over and over again ad nauseum to get decent gear. Guess they like the pointless grinding at the mercy of RNG. If someone says D2 Y1 "almost killed the game" they are probably one of them. Frankly I think the real problem was/is insufficient content--the hardcores ran out of stuff to do too quickly for their taste and got bored. Bungle seems happy to try to cater to such people and extend the grind mercilessly without regard for people they look down on as "casuals" (apparently, anybody with a full time job that isn't playing Destiny). It would be nice if they would add more content, but doing that is hard and expensive. Borderlands 3 comes out in September. 😉

That almost killed the game two years ago. Everything was too easy to get and everyone had everything. Bungie already said they are going to be more hardcore.

Your assessment is spot on and it only gets worse

1 AntwortenThis game isn't meant to be an easy grind. I think that you may be struggling to level up because you're doing the wrong things! Any activities (strikes, daily missions, crucible) will give you powerful gear for basically one completion (takes about 10-25 mins) and you can level up really easy. Don't try and rush it, I always find that people just want to get to the end to be like everyone else, but people at max level wish that they still had things to level up, instead they have everything lol. But if you don't like the game no problem, it isn't for everyone. I found myself loving MHW recently and I took a break from Destiny for a little while :) God Bless. -Quaxx

Iron banner comes out tomorrow. That’ll help tremendously with getting powerful gear. Unless you don’t like crucible. Might not be for you then
-
After playing through most of the dlc you should have been able to grab bounties to boost you’re gear too 690. They are simple bounties that allow you to reach 690, after acquiring the bounties, in about an hour or so. Unless you are playing IB light level shouldn’t matter. Playing 2 characters will boost your light pretty quick. I suggest leveling the character you plan to use as a secondary first with the weekly and daily powerful drops. You can move all your powerful weapons to the character you plan on using as a main. This will slingshot your light level and it works very well when you hit soft cap (730 or so)

1 AntwortenDon't even ask me about crucible. I'm not a bad player but not having the decent gear to go in there is torture. Need a good match making so new players against new players!!

Play with other people it makes the experience better if you have a team everything gets handed to you
