Came really close to predicting the future, what do
So, a while back (several months ago), someone who’s on my friend list in a game I have had said they were leaving, and I assumed they wouldn’t be back. And last night, I had a dream that they sent me a message (can’t remember what it said), and then I woke up in the morning and they were just online.
What are the odds of that? I hadn’t seen them online between when they left and when they came back. AMA?

2 AntwortenMaybe, just maybe, this: Everything in the universe has the possibility of being defined and expressed mathematically. The human brain has more ability to solve real-world issues on a scale we don’t realize. A good example is from Douglas Adams I believe, where he says that to calculate the trajectory of a thrown ball is a somewhat complicated process, taking into account speed, wind, height of the person throwing it, etc. and calculating where it will land. But if someone throws you a ball you can catch it in an instant. Maybe we aren’t “solving” the equation literally, but we are figuring out something that to process definitely takes time and calculation. So with all that you know about your friend, the situation they, and you were in, in the context of everything else you know, your brain was able to calculate an educated guess based on the parts of the “equation” you had available to you.

5 AntwortenThere was this one time, I had a dream that we had rice for dinner and I put parmesan cheese on it. A few months later, there I was, in the same shirt, everyone in my family in the same outfits and the table laid out the same and I realized I was putting parmesan cheese on my rice. It wasn't horrible.
