Drop rate from Strange Terrain NF?
I've been farming Strange Terrain this past week (because it doesn't seem to come up very frequently). Over the entire lifetime of D2, I've run this nightfall 21 times, and still don't have the Braytech Osprey.
One of my clanmates, over the last two times the strike turned up, got the thing 3 times, and he doesn't actually care about getting it.
I don't really care about getting it for the gear itself, I need it as the last item for the Wayfarer title.
This has become frustrating to the point of being a joke. I've got > 100K score (which is supposed to help with the drop rates), but I figure I must be the least lucky person on the planet playing D2 and trying to get this drop. I've farmed this NF so much the last two times it's come around that once I get the Osprey, I never EVER want to run the strike again, because it's just not fun to play it over and over like this.
Wasn't this drop rate supposed to have been buffed?
ETA: Finally got it last night, on run #28. As a bit of a 'Hail Mary' we tried having the other members of the fireteam kill Nokris and that seemed to actually work. I'd seen people anecdotally say that that increased the drop rate, and thought "I've tried everything else". Not sure if that had any effect at all, but I now have my Wayfarer title. :D

1 AntwortenThere are people struggling far more than you for that Rocket. Took me 100+ runs to get it to drop. Hopefully it drops soon for you.

7 AntwortenMonths ago i take a friend to farm the braytech launcher. He got one on his 2nd. He didnt had the 100k nf clear. Kept playing for my drop. I quit at the 26th attempt, whenever i play it as a strike, just like the [i]horror's least[/i] masterwork drop i got while playing the corrupted strike, it will drop if it drops if not cool, dont care anymore.

We all just used Acrius with arc burn/heavyweight and killed Nokris literally immediately every time. I haven’t been able to bring myself to do the same with Corrupted as that is the only thing I need for Cursebreaker. I just hate that it’s expected that players literally do the same exact thing 20+ times in a row to get a single item. And for many it’s for an item that is more or less obsolete because it’s from Y1. That’s unreasonable. That’s horrible game design. The shift from heroic strikes with specific loot to NF specific loot was one of the worst decisions they made. Titles were a great idea but this kind of thing makes the implementation of them terrible.

3 AntwortenJust got mine yesterday after a 20-run-long-grind of speedrunning. I’m pretty certain that 100k scores don’t give a higher chance, so running past lots of enemies and using wardcliff with arc heavyweight on enables my team to do it within 6 minutes sometimes. Fireteam medallions help as well I think. It’s just a long grind I’m afraid, but getting 100k doesn’t improve chances much if at all - I’m not sure - so keep at it and it’ll come soon.
