That’s what I’m saying man, I love my clan, super chill and kind people who raid and also teach others. But when they aren’t available for a raid and I use lfg, it really is a different game, the fact that people disrespect literal strangers the way they do for experience, clears, ethnicity, age, etc is just ridiculous (And yes, I’ve been made fun of and kicked for all the following listed).

TLDR If you don’t KWTD, learn it. Go watch a video, or find someone who is willing to help and teach along the way. There’s always someone willing to help, trust me. And 100 raid clears? Ignore those people, simple

I made this post on another post ages ago, and was going to copy and paste it, but I can't find it now. Anyway: I completely agree with you, and other people in the comments talking about how not all posts have that stipulation. However, those people for the most part also say to just watch a guide or video explaining either the whole raid or encounter to learn what to do. Sure, that is knowledge of what to do and that helps, but have you ever considered that maybe the execution of said knowledge is completely different than just knowing it? An example is WotM from D1, I knew every step there was to do in the Aksis phase 1 and 2 fights, however when it came to executing it, it becomes very different. The part you play, the variables that change, the stress of performing, everything in regards to actually do the mechanics surrounding the raid encounters can't just be done once you've learned what to do. The motor skills involved with it will still have to work. Because if I showed my significant other every step of the crown of sorrows raid, yeah, she knows how to do it, but she doesn't even play destiny or games really at all. But she knows what to do, right? So accept her into the raid. Accommodate those who need help, if you really need to do quick runs or anything like that on a consistent basis, find a raiding clan and they will be of more help than random "elitists" on lfgs.

If you ever see someone that wants like 10+ raid clears just move on because there losers. People take this game way to seriously.

You have to solo the raid flawlessly first. And have the emblem. And Rat King. Being fluent in multiple languages is also a plus.

I suggest you go to Reddit and look for the Destiny Sherpa portal there. There are lots of Sherpas there willing to run you through the raid. Found a nice dude who is teaching some of my Clan admins the run through, we are coordinating a time with him to set the time zone right and then we are running it multiple times to master the mechanics. I hope you get to have the same luck, as the armor in the raids have a high chance of dropping Enhanced perks, that in term will aid you a lot in crucible and in general. Eyes up guardian.

Google 100.io there are a few guardians there who will help u. There were a lot more but...D2 happened.

Why not start own fireteam of people learning the raid? Ought to be far less toxic if you get folks who actually want to KWTD.

It's a catch 22, you can't get raid experience because you need 1000 clears to even join a lfg. This is just people not wanting to explain anything to anyone, to them I say..Who taught you or how did you learn, because they were once first time raiders.

When I didn’t know what to do and couldn’t join lfg teams for that reason I just made my own lfg for similar standard players. Got through the new raid with all first timers in a couple of hours with the help of YouTube.

I mean that's great and all you got Luna's, Mountain Top, Recluse, Ace, Broadsword, other than Mountaintop(GLs have been doing pretty good as of late, especially with CoS), and Recluse, there are better options for weapons, also crucible =/= Raids. By all means if you want to use them in raids go for it, but when it comes to the final boss of a raid, yeah I'm gonna hunker down and tell everyone to use X instead of Y. I understand you like that bow of yours, but I'd much rather you use a something like a shotgun to kill your ogres in the first phase of Gahlran for example. I want you to drop them dead ASAP because in that encounter, you have to do shit on your own with one other team mate in your zone without the help of 4 others, all while your time is crunched. To answer your questions. 1. Yes. Depending on the raid, if the loot is shitty then most of the time I won't even bother with it other than the first few times just to experience it, and master it and every position in the raid so I can teach any of my friends or clan mates. 2. They're fun, I know I'm in the minority when I say this but I actually like raiding and the raids in Year 2, Last Wish being my all time favorite, CoS being a close second, I like the intensity CoS can have especially, I do it weekly with my group, and LFG for it. What I will say about about raiders who kick players just before killing the boss, who insult and call names cause they don't have a team to raid or have 100 clears and what not, is one I simply do not condone. Only time where kicking is acceptable is A) They're not doing their job properly and wasting everyone's time, even though they know what their doing, B) They're annoying as hell, and a total jackass. and C) This one drives me right up a -blam!-ing wall. Lied their way to get in the raid. Like seriously, if you haven't done it don't lie, say you don't know what's going on or whatever, not say so after 4 wipes in, then sorry not sorry, YOU are the problem, and got kicked rightfully so. If you lie your way into a raid I'm hosting and I find out you lied, that ends with you getting booted without a reason why, you know why, don't play dumb, cause then I'll just make you look like a bigger fool than you already are. PvP players aren't the only ones who are toxic, it goes both ways. Raids can bring the best and worst in people. Also at the same time I can see why KWTD is more common, I don't know what it is, but my guess is in Year 1 D2, it was quite common you would get someone(Or more) who lacks common sense and can't follow simple instructions. If you don't KWTD, get info on what to do, guides are your friend, once you've watched or read, then by definition, you KWTD. Most I'm willing to teach is 2, and no more than 2, it depends on the raid, CoS I'm only willing to teach 1 cause in that raid, everyone has to pull their own weight, other than that, I don't mind teaching, I've done plenty of sherpas for last wish, and no that doesn't mean I will carry you, you're in there to learn, and I expect you to pull your own weight. I know I'm expecting to get downvoted but frankly I'm not a fan of blowing smoke up anyone's ass. EDIT: Typo.

To anyone who doesn't 'KWTD' -watch a raid guide on youtube. Its that simple. I only got my First CoS clear last week as real life has kept me busy. Went into a 'cos fresh KWTD' raid, told the guys it was my First but i'd watched a tutorial and we cleared it within an hour. Every raid in this game is easy, you just need to understand the simple mechanics. If i make a party in lfg and your basic ass can't seem to grasp what to do, then guess what? Ya getting kicked - git gud. I'm happy to teach/sherpa but if you dont Pick it up quickly then imo you're never going to be helpful in this kind of activity

Join a group that doesn't post kwtd. That's what I do. I wasted almost 4 hours trying to beat/learn the new raid with people that didnt kwtd. Now that I've put in my time I want to play with ppl that kwtd and not spend another 4 hours on a 30 minute activity.

Just watch a guide on YouTube about it, it’s not hard. Don’t mind giving a rundown but I’d like for you to have at least seen a video on the encounters.

Sometimes they do it because they think a flawless run is everything. I ran into this problem before, just to say unless you really want the gear there really isn't a point besides the experience. I'm max power and I haven't done any of the raids

Get a 6 man group that have the same problem as you. Done. Make friends easy.

The first encounter ikw to do just ppl -blam!- out after alot of deaths and im left standing there like wtf

Just post your own raid lfg and put "Fresh" usually get me the best results.
