The LFG descriptions are more demanding than a job interview.
How should I have 100 raid clears if no one accepts me because I have only one raid clear? (but I have lunas howl, mountaintop, recluse solo, ace, broadsword, crucible mastery, you know..I can aim...).
My problem is, why are you so toxic to others? I understand that you want fast clears and I respect it, but to be toxic and impolite to a stranger for a game, shows really how bad person you are in real life. I can't remember how many parties I left because of the arrogant, toxic, ironic people I met.
So, for what reason you raid? For the loot? For the experience? For what?
In d1 I raided, not much but I did all raids except WOTM when I got tired with all the elitists I was meeting in the raids. You believe that the pvp players are toxic or salty or elitistis because they will teabag you one time? What do you have to say about the raiders who kick players just before killing the boss, who insult people and call them names because they don't have a team to raid and have 100 raid clears? Help other people, help the gaming community, and that way you will have more people to play with.

Well said. Unfortunately there are so many Assclowns that think this is real life. Most probably work baggage groceries at the Piggy Wigley. 🐖 So to feel better about their crappie lives they put others down. The other jerks are more then likely pimple faced teenagers with piss poor people skills.

2 AntwortenThis is precisely the problem with most people who play this game. You can watch dozens of youtube clips but until you head in and try it you dont know what its like. Every youtube clip is either edited to cut out the wipes or is made by people who have run it 30 times with the same team. I didnt bother doing scourge of the past until maybe a month ago. Even tho i watched videos I was like a lost kid for most of it. Done it a few more times and realised that its such a simple raid. It will be the same for crown of sorrows, but right now the last fight seems very complex. Im sure it isnt and once ive done it a few times it will be simple, but when the LFG demands are 30+ completions i really cant be bothered even trying to use LFG. If u are on xbox and want to run raids send me a message and I'll see about getting u a few done. Im in uk (for time zones!!)

Key is just look for chill/Sherpa runs. If our group ever looks we just put chill as the requirement. As long as someone is willing to have a go there are plenty of teams that will help you. Don't join a KWTD unless you have done the raid a few times. People put them up because they are for when someone wants a quick run or just doesn't want to explain the raid and obviously they will be annoyed if it is not.

7 AntwortenTLDR; 1. Find/create your own fire team 2. Every time something happens in the game (raids/exotics/quest lines/ missions) there’s always those people who ask for a specific setup to be used through those activities. When Last Wish came out, lfg was filled with “MUST HAVE 1K”. 3. Join anyway. Seriously, if you’re confident in what you do and know and have executed the activity enough to carry your own, completions and shit does not matter. 4. Find a Sherpa. If you actually are very new to something, join people who are your speed or find people your speed. It’s cringey when I post to teach a raid to new people and someone that knows the raid (for example) tries to rush everyone. I accept new people because I am patient. If they’re not patient, they are welcome to leave. The longest I’ve ever been in a raid is 7 hours teaching new people. 🙂 5. If your on PlayStation and still wanting help, you can even add me and I’ll help when I can. ☺️👍🏽

It's simple. You should make your own posts, host your own raid, and set your own requirements.
-
My question is why do people make such a big deal about lfg requirements? There are plenty of people willing to help new raiders learn raids, and you can always make your own post if you don’t want to look for one. It’s pathetic how much people complain about this non issue.

2 AntwortenI really wish that Bungie would add in game bulletin boards instead of using third party LFG sites. There could be bulletin boards for sherpas and boards for speed runs. This would solve a lot of issues.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von FlakeyOrchid34: 7/8/2019 4:37:32 AMYeah. I joined a fireteam for zero hour once but got kicked because I had the blue season of opulence gear. I know it wasn’t the best but they didn’t even give me a chance and were so quick to kick me. Edit: the only thing I ask when creating a fireteam is to have a mic. If they don’t kwtd then we would work it out together.
-
Just make your own group, it’s usually faster then joining someone else’s anyway and then you have control. Also kwtd doesn’t always mean have clears, it means watch some videos of the encounters and at least know what the mechanics are. Ppl don’t have patience for other ppl who can’t even be bothered to watch a video first. It’s like asking for answers to a test you didn’t bother to study for from ppl that studied their ass off. Most just want to know you made an effort to learn it first.

Totally agree. I noticed this too in D2. I helped hundreds of players in D1 finishing raids and I played over a thousand raids. In D2 it seems like nobody wants to help anymore. I tried finding a fireteam yesterday since I haven't finished CoS yet because it seems impossible to find a fireteam even for an experienced raid player. It is all about stats it seems because after 10-20 finishes you should have gotten everyhing possible from the raid. I also wish that players/fireteams would be a little more helpful.

You first mistake was assuming that "KWTD" means "have X clears". It doesn't. As long as you don't fk about like a headless chicken, and you actually play the encounter / mission / whatever else like you're supposed to, you're good.
-
Having specific requirements doesn't make you toxic.
-
Easy. Make your own group. There are lots of people willing to teach you, or if you don't know what to do, watch a video so you do know.
-
I always think those “100 clears” are a joke. Unless your joining their flawless run. Then you should know what to do. Watch a YouTube vid or make your own lfg post. Btw crucible has nothing to do with knowing raid mechanics
-
I see posts that say “teaching” or “anyone can join”. Also ones that say first time doing “insert activity here”. I got the raid done the end of the first week the DLC dropped with a group off lfg no problem. Took a while but I expected that with a brand new raid. I don’t know what you’re doing or how you’re behaving but if someone is awful then leave the group and look for another. If every group is a problem, unfortunately you’re likely the problem.

Watch a video. I watched a stupid long Rick Kackis video, and also checked a Reddit text guide for SOTP today. Got it done with a lovely sherpa and newb group who didn't even do what I did. How? The group was made by my buddy and I. We only wiped the first encounter twice, the rest once. Wasn't no Last Wish but it wasn't hard to learn the damn thing beforehand and get a group together who wanted to do it. People like us who hate those groups would do well to quit whining and make a damn group for ourselves. There are plenty of us. If you would have spent the time you took to make this post learning the raid you're after, you would probably have a completion under your belt by now.

1 AntwortenShit I can’t swim so you know what I do? I stay my black ass out the pool.

1 AntwortenPeople who raid be like, ‘Know What To Do’ Me who has never raided, ‘That’s what I want you to teach me dumkopf!!!!!!’
Sorry, all out of salt.
If you need to know what to do, but don’t, then learn what to do. It’s not a hard concept to understand.
-
I love how downvoted this post is. It literally supports his point the more its downvoted lol.
-
Make your own post instead of whining.
-
7 AntwortenIts because the destiny community is one of the most toxic communities out there.
-
Watch videos (dattos are great for raid prep) Start your own post so YOU can control who joins and whatnot Or Join an active clan (theres a surprising number of these.)
-
Find a video on youtube then watch it 20+ times then begin. That's how I got Outbreak and I can't stand me some LFG.
-
That’s what I’m saying man, I love my clan, super chill and kind people who raid and also teach others. But when they aren’t available for a raid and I use lfg, it really is a different game, the fact that people disrespect literal strangers the way they do for experience, clears, ethnicity, age, etc is just ridiculous (And yes, I’ve been made fun of and kicked for all the following listed).
