The LFG descriptions are more demanding than a job interview.
How should I have 100 raid clears if no one accepts me because I have only one raid clear? (but I have lunas howl, mountaintop, recluse solo, ace, broadsword, crucible mastery, you know..I can aim...).
My problem is, why are you so toxic to others? I understand that you want fast clears and I respect it, but to be toxic and impolite to a stranger for a game, shows really how bad person you are in real life. I can't remember how many parties I left because of the arrogant, toxic, ironic people I met.
So, for what reason you raid? For the loot? For the experience? For what?
In d1 I raided, not much but I did all raids except WOTM when I got tired with all the elitists I was meeting in the raids. You believe that the pvp players are toxic or salty or elitistis because they will teabag you one time? What do you have to say about the raiders who kick players just before killing the boss, who insult people and call them names because they don't have a team to raid and have 100 raid clears? Help other people, help the gaming community, and that way you will have more people to play with.

3 AntwortenWatch videos then just lie and say you kwtd. By the third time you get kicked you’ll actually know what you’re doing
-
Watch a video, join an lfg, ask them if its okay that you have watched a video, if its not okay call them all big dumbos and go find someone else, also use the lfg discords for each platform, not the bungie lfg.
-
My favorite is when in LFG posts they demand you have better stats than they do.
-
I do it for guidelines, shouldn’t take 2 hrs for a lsat wish. I would look for posts saying be chill just to be safe.

Lol that list of achievements was hilarious 😂

If they have a problem with it, just leave and move on. Most raid groups are usually willing to help at least 1 maybe 2 when they’re doing a normal run. KWTD is off putting but don’t let it put you off 👍

How you get KWTD status. Grab several players and raid with them from scratch. Learn the raid and practice it. Thats how. You watch videos and you run the encounters with players of the same experience level.
-
So, couple things on this: - watch some youtube videos, get an understanding of what the roles & encounters entail - try and find some lfg's for people "carrying" or "learning" - create your own party in any event, if you're new to raiding, be transparent. Tell them you've only watched. Tell them you've maybe only gotten so far in the raid. Tell them its your first time, or that you only had 1 clear. If its your raid, be patient if others are struggling. If someone want to take lead or point because of a strategy - hear them out and go from there. Yes there is a lot of BS. Yes it can be toxic. We can't stop others from being -blam!-, but at the same time we cant expect everyone to want to sit in a raid for hours.

Look for fireteams that ask for DKWTD......

4 AntwortenFor people who ask for kwtd in raids and other activities.....it feels better to teach people and completing any activity. Trust that's what destiny used to be....we made good friends through that too.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheDeliriousDoc: 7/8/2019 4:25:31 PMI haven’t LFG’d or use LFG to fill a fireteam but once in all of D2. It was a nightmare because it was LW and the two randoms we brought in constantly complained that my group refused to do the cluster bomb cheese ( they didn’t know or could not execute the actual mechanics). We had wipe like 10 times. Ended up pissing off one of our group members so much he just left and that cause the two randoms to leave. In D1 I used LFG a lot and my requirements were always so the same, “Need X for X to run. The please have a mic. Preference given to higher LL, Gally and experience but not required. Don’t be an @sshole.” It worked out well but we’d get to an encounter ask everyone if they knew the encounter, got a yes go in and then wipe. Look at the wipe screen see player X caused the wipe then tell him and always get a response, “Oh I didn’t know I havent done this before.” Ugh...we asked who knew the encounter to see if we needed to explain but I think it is a defense mechanism for people so they don’t get kicked.

Ask for forgiveness, not permission. Join the fireteam/party chat, and then let them know that you have watched the videos and can hold your own in other activities and they will almost definitely not kick you. Speaking from over a year off personal experience here. Kwtd doesn't necessarily mean completions, it means 'I don't want that random jacka** who doesn't even know what activity this is' to join. Believe me when I say there are a lot of random people who will join a raid team and have no idea what it is, they just want to get the loot.

You join my active clan where we raid weekly and help each other out. THATS how you learn what to do. Check out our Destiny 2 Clan Guardians Against Ghaul. https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2?groupid=3355669 Guardians Against Ghaul [GAG] PS4, US Based, mature (16+) Clan welcome to all guardians veteran or new. We stay organized on our discord so that is a requirement to have. That way we can schedule times to play and raid together. Rumors are the Moon is haunted. Ghosts from the past stalk Luna and among them is Ghaul. We stopped him before and we will again. Join us to prove that Guardians can overcome our enemies again and again. Willing to teach Raids and explore the new expansions together. I got tired of clans with drama, huge clans where no one knows each other, or just inactive ones so I made a clan myself. Now over 20 members strong we have a small community of close guardians that get sh!t done. We’re a mix of casual and more hardcore players. Whether you’re an occasional (1–3 days a week) player or a dedicated Guardian, you’ll have friends in your fireteam with us. Shoot me a message if you have questions and PLEASE join the Discord soon after you join. Link is in our clan chat or I can send one.

My options for lfg is Discord or here. In discord people just ask for what they can get. Here people are really choosy about who they want. I get it though. They want a fast raid and not to spend an hour or two teaching someone. It really depends on who you join up on.

That's just the way it is, it's been that way from the beginning. I see the point on both sides though. After running the raid 30 times, you want to jump in and get it done. On the other hand (and the sole reason I am all for raid-matchmaking) within a month of release, it's near impossible for someone brand new to find a group. The only advice I can give is to jump into to raid ASAP, that way you can at least get the mechanics down. You could also post in lfg to start your own group.
-
1 AntwortenI feel for you buddy. I had the same problem. If not done already find a decent clan that can help you accumulate the required numbers to pass the Toxic community test :) I also find that half the time ppl who put KWTD on their post's dont have a clue themselves they are ;looking for a carry and try to bluff their way through.
-
My advice would be to find a clan that is willing to show you what to do. My clan does teaching runs for people who don't know what they're doing.
-
As someone who LFG a lot, it can be hostile out there at times. The majority of the player base are decent people. Watch a video so you are familiar with the mechanics and search for a beginners LFG group. Rinse and repeat a couple of times and you will be ready for groups that require experience. You got the skills if you have all the pinnacle pvp weapons.
-
I understand the frustration. Whenever my raid lfgs it's because we are trying to get done quick. We almost always have a newby and it takes forever. Sometimes we just want a quick run. With that being said. We dont look at clears. We just want someone we dont have to explain the raid to.

3 AntwortenRaids are considered a chore rather than an enjoyable activity .. and the raid lairs have furthered that sentiment with 30 minute clears and full professional streamers doing 7 minute raid clears .. The difficulty increases every time ., it’s now aimed at streamer level and not normal player anymore .. But wait there is more! Instead of having a genuine difficulty, the devs have refuted to knowledge as a replacement difficulty .. once you “know” the raid it becomes piss easy and can be speed run .. that’s the reason why no one looks for “good raider” or “ player who can aim and survive” . It’s the knowledge about that raid that made it difficult and not the personal skill with gunplay and character usage that counts anymore .. You need this list of guns and that list of abilities and then you need to have memorized in which order which enemy spawns where and you are good .. you could program an algorithm to play the raid since every enemy always spawns at the same point and with the same direction .. That’s why “know” what to do has became the new “know what you do”

There are plenty of good guide videos on YouTube to help out. I like to wait for those to come out before trying new raids and such.

Bearbeitet von Zizin: 7/8/2019 12:40:44 PMYou should GTKWTD
Google to know what to do
Nah just kidding. I mean I think it's ok to request for people to KWTD. But don't be a snob about it. Give people a chance to learn, and teach them. And if anyone tells you that you need to KWTD to join them, screw em I say. It's like those cool kids club in school. You don't need them, go find someone else who is willing to teach you. You don't have to put up with someone else's shit just because they feel superior that they have differently arranged pixels from what you have.

Create your own post saying you don't kwtd and you can you usually get help

Why not make your own post your rules your way?

Well said. Unfortunately there are so many Assclowns that think this is real life. Most probably work baggage groceries at the Piggy Wigley. 🐖 So to feel better about their crappie lives they put others down. The other jerks are more then likely pimple faced teenagers with piss poor people skills.
