The LFG descriptions are more demanding than a job interview.
How should I have 100 raid clears if no one accepts me because I have only one raid clear? (but I have lunas howl, mountaintop, recluse solo, ace, broadsword, crucible mastery, you know..I can aim...).
My problem is, why are you so toxic to others? I understand that you want fast clears and I respect it, but to be toxic and impolite to a stranger for a game, shows really how bad person you are in real life. I can't remember how many parties I left because of the arrogant, toxic, ironic people I met.
So, for what reason you raid? For the loot? For the experience? For what?
In d1 I raided, not much but I did all raids except WOTM when I got tired with all the elitists I was meeting in the raids. You believe that the pvp players are toxic or salty or elitistis because they will teabag you one time? What do you have to say about the raiders who kick players just before killing the boss, who insult people and call them names because they don't have a team to raid and have 100 raid clears? Help other people, help the gaming community, and that way you will have more people to play with.

Watch a video of the raid (Trust me it helps)
-
3 AntwortenWatch a video on how to do a raid, find a team asking for people that KWTD, act like you’ve done the raid before and boom.
-
If I Don't KWTD what should I do?
Join a clan that does sherpa runs and hope they will help you. Or do what I do and just don't bother with the raid at all. Been doing that for the last two raids now.

Don't like toxic players? Make your own group. First time running the raid and can't find someone who will take you through? Make your own group. Afraid that you'll get booted before the final boss rewards? Make your own group.

Bearbeitet von TC6 Wolverine: 7/9/2019 4:18:31 PMI was trying to a raid a while back and the post said everyone welcomed . So naturally there was a squeaker in the group. Some other guy started going off on him and telling him to go do sexual stuff to himself and other things and he’ll just do it all by himself. I don’t particularly like to have kids in the group because I start to feel responsible for them but sometimes they just end up in there and I deal. Sometimes you get two or more and they mess around enough that you get no where. At that moment I usually see myself out . Where I draw the line though is some supposed adult/ 17-22 year old going off on a child in such a crude way especially over a video game. I told him what he said to that kid wasn’t right and I don’t want to be a part of it. I left the group and turned the game off. It’s horrible behavior to others online that removes the fun factor of doing a raid as well as add more stress to it. Raiding just puts a bad taste in my mouth and it’s a shame because I end up missing out on big chunks of content. I wish they would swap raids out for 3 man dungeons instead, loot and all.

In a 6 part miniseries rick kackis will teach kwtd for everything 25min each installment 7 episodes each miniseries.

1 AntwortenJust watch a guide then you will know what to do

If you dont KWTD its a simple and easy fix other then going onto the fourms and complaining how people ont let you in on your lack of KWTD. This works 100% of the time for all players who scream at me when i kick them for not being truthful and watch a video on wtd when they say they kwtd. Go make a post on the lfg, its not hard you can find people as well, there are other players like you, they will join and if you dont want them to join then now you’ve become what you complains about.

Honestly, I can understand both sides as a high ranking sherpa from one of the larger lfg sites. Some people don't have the time for constant failure, or they don't have the time for someone to learn. If I have 1-2 hours max for a raid I don't really post beginners welcome raids. But, I'm also the head of one of the PS4's teaching groups, so I post/posted beginners welcome a lot. I'd be the guy soloing Crota's maze for people, doing all the pain in the ass stuff in Vault, every painful spot in kf, same with wrath, and even in D2 taking the worst spots in the raids like right side void while putting newbies in easier spots unless they were masochistic enough, like me. I don't mind your newness, and I don't mind teaching. However, at the same time it depends on how much time I have too. I'm also aware there are just some outright jerks with those posts who are toxic as hell. This is coming from a guy who spent 11 hours in KF before a guy finally stopped causing us to wipe at totems no matter how clear I made the instructions. Personally, I stopped raiding in Destiny 2 because I really can't stand the boredom that is raid lairs. I've done LW, and that was alright yet not enough to pull me back in like KF.

I have had good luck and bad luck finding people for raids. I have found more helpful people for raids then the bad ones. Just post stating you want a sherpa and you should get one or two joining.
-
3 AntwortenI was in your exact shoes for D1. I only have 1 KF clear. 1 crotas. Never was able to run it again. Now? I got 61 total raid completions, I shall be running 30 more CoS's most likely. Oh worst part? B4 u needed Touch of Malice or Gjallahorn or Spindle- guess what- u needed to raid in order to get the quest steps for one them (ToM). Oh and in order to hit max light u either raid or u go flawless trials. D1 was a bad experience for me- a lot of people look at that game with rose tinted eyeballs. D2 is way better for solo grind and finding people. If you are on Xbone- I can sherpa u in SoTP, CoS, and LW, and Leviathan. SoS and EOW Are 2 raids I never want to touch. Remember - join an active clan. They will help you.

7 AntwortenI'm glad to say I don't do that unless I'm desperate. I'll admit I'm the "18+" guy. Just can't stand risking playing with squeakers. They stress me out way more than they should. Aside from that, I raid for fun.
-
I know some people are horrible. Make one mistake and they start going crazy but then don’t say anything when they make them. They ruin the experience for everyone. I was playing with some guy the other day who just kept blaming everything on me even when he was dying, so I just decided I wasn’t having fun and left the raid team despite it going very well until he joined. Toxic players like this really can ruin a game experience.
-
1 AntwortenAll these people saying "watch a video." Some of us are not visual. Simply watching others do things simply can't help. Trying to find groups that will "test run" new encounters is darn near impossible. Frankly, most raids in D2 are kinda bland and unrewarding vs D1. Exotics, but that's about it, and with my luck it's pointless even that. So why bother?
-
Not trying to be a jerk, but you could do a post and ask people to join you? I’ve seen a post someone wrote “never done the raid, looking for experience players only to do the raid with”
-
Na i rather wait to get all 10+ and do it in 30 something minutes then run it with someone under 3 and take a whole hour.
-
Watch a video on YouTube. There I answered your question without reading this useless junk
-
Watch a video
-
If you dont want to/have time too just post to lfg saying new to the raid and want someone to help teach. You may get a clean that wants to help or a group that just needs one.
-
2 AntwortenJust do what a majority of people do and just pretend you know what to do anyway....

Study videos on YouTube.

I went blind into three raids: Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, and Spire of Stars. For all the others, I watched a bloody video. It saves way more time to do that than to have someone over a party chat explain everything to you. It's really not difficult, and we can talk about your personality as a player by stubbornly refusing to do at least that.
-
People: how am i supposed to know this and that!? Kackis: am I a joke to you?

I've been an LFG raider for a while now (230+ completions in D1 and 80+ in D2), and although I understand that there are toxic people in LFG, I have found them to be pretty rare. I have seen 100s of LFG posts and I have never seen a post that asked for 100 completions and never been kicked at boss. I occasionally come across rude or annoying people, but most of the people I have raided with on LFG have been friendly. Like I said, I have a lot of experience with LFG. I try to read the tone of people's posts. If they sound like jerks in their post, they're probably jerks in party chat. Most people on LFG, at least for PvE, are friendly - just use common sense when responding to posts, and you should be fine. For a while, I didn't know what "kwtd" was short for, and at first I thought it was elitist. For most people posting "kwtd", they aren't being elitist or asking for you to be an expert, they are simply asking that you have at least watched a tutorial. I've joined groups that said "kwtd" and helped people get a first clear. I do get annoyed with people that ask for silly numbers of clears (unless you are trying a flawless run, anything over 5 is silly), or power levels that don't matter for the activity (e.g., if you ask for 750 power on Leviathan). I also am typically looking for a quick clear, but if I have the time, I don't mind helping with a newbie, and even find it rewarding to hear their reactions on completion. If you are looking for your first raid run, just ignore the posts from the elitists and jerks. There are plenty of posts without requirements, or that only state "kwtd". Either way, just watch a tutorial, be honest about your experience level, and it shouldn't be long before finding a group to help.

7 AntwortenI completely get where you're coming from, but I think its important not to confuse people who post "KWTD" with the arrogant elitists that make raids difficult. Raiding is my go-to endgame challenge in the game, and I enjoy teaching others to raid, but at least 2/3 posts I make every week are listed as KWTD do to personal constraints. Sometimes, I am limited on time and simply can't sherpa, as those runs take a while. Also, a lot of my KWTD runs actually include new players...I try to only teach 1-2 new players at a time, because its easier to adjust and pick up the slack from a new raider when you have 4-5 experienced players on the team. I don't like going through with 5 inexperienced players, because then the inevitable mistakes pile up and make it very difficult to complete any encounter, let alone the raid. I don't say this because I'm an "elitist", I say it because its true. Put it this way--why is it that you are trying to join a team of players who know what's going on, instead of making a post and getting a fireteam of other new players? Its because you know it'll be much easier if you go through with people who know what they're doing and can help you. There's nothing wrong with this, but I feel like there's been a double standard forming where much of the community thinks that raiders should always be willing to take on newcomers, yet the new raiders don't want to raid with other newcomers. I know I know--"I'm a raider who has experience and doesn't know what its like to find a team when I've never done it"...that's kinda the stereotype in the community. However, every actual raider started somewhere. At the start of this season, I did Crown of Sorrow 3 times during week one...this took tons of work, and I cycled through many teams as we struggled through the last two encounters, but we did it. We learned almost every mechanic by ourself, and only used an online tutorial for the final boss. My point is--a lot of raiders have done the raid in your shoes, so give it a shot! The best way to get good at raiding is to do it blind. As for people being jerks, I'm completely with you there. I've never once booted somebody before they got the chest, don't insult people and don't make absurd demands of the community. This is just my take--I want to see as may people raiding as there are dead Dregs is Trostland xD. I think the community need to move away from this "raiders are bad guys" mentality and start taking things into their own hands, because everyone has the option to try. Its not fair to say you can't raid because other people won't teach you--that's blaming them for something that isn't their responsibility. Its each players job to get things done on their own, and everyone has the option to make their own LFG post (this is doubly true if you're posting on the forums, cuz the LFG is literally one click away). Don't give up--just start doing it!

6 AntwortenDisregard anyone who posts these KWTD posts. They contribute nothing to the community and even less to raids. They are parasitic in nature, hoping to lure in an unwary passerby who is a veteran of the raids, using them to do most if not all the work and firepower. I tend to stay away from LFG for these very specific reasons.
