Will the Menagerie be as popular after chest fix?
In today’s TWAB, it states that a July 9th patch will stop the Menagerie farm loop. Will you still be as eager to play it? I won’t. I thought it was awesome that you could farm runes then have 4 chances at trying to get your dream gun with a dream roll. How cool was that?
Shut down July 9th. Lame. It’s not like God Rolls were over flowing. It is still tough to get the gun you want. Now it will be back to near impossible and not worth the time spent.

But with all honesty the chest farm ruined Menagerie, Prestige is still in a good spot because you get a guaranteed masterworked item per character per week. But now that we can no longer farm chests players will just do 3 Prestige Menageries and leave it at that. Which is still fine considering no one really does blind well for fun ( the exception being the wendigo quest). The problem is because we were spoiled with the chest exploit for a month it will ruin the overall experience going forward. Why would anyone run a normal Menagerie now? Besides for the fact its a requirement for the Shadow seal. I guess it will be utilized whenever players can’t get fireteams together, but other than that it will be meaningless.

33 AntwortenYes. I seldom pull more than three drops per run. But rumor has it that people are getting as many as 10 per run in pc which is ridiculous. The game’s loot pool isn’t deep enough to stand up to that.

MrAhmerGamer You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

people have farmed for what they needed - the hardcore/heavy users have their god rolls; and if they don't they will probably only played with self made fireteams.. matchmaking with blueberries will be start to be more of a shitshow after patch.

nope. once they stop the chest, I'm -blam!-ing done. That was the only thing that made the tired, old repetitive "not" horde mode remotely tolerable. I'll stop caring, and remember that the anal pass was a waste of money.

Absolutely not. People will farm it while they can until the fix after that it won’t be worth your time.

I feel the one and done chest would make more sense if the runes were harder to come by. But sweet lord, just from grinding out Iron banner I have well over 300 runes in total. I'm not running the Menagerie 100 times at 1 item a pop. Not to mention, the rewards being "powerful" means nothing after the first week or two of a new dlc when they bump the light level.

1 AntwortenNo. Right now you can farm the rune earning content for a couple hours and then go drop 5 or 6 runes in a menagerie run. Rinse and repeat. As someone said its a good balance of playtime, RNG, and rewards. I have no desire to spend hours farming runes and then spend hours doing one activity to spend them one at a time. F that.

5 AntwortenI wouldn’t mind only being able to open the chest once or twice at the end of a run if any of the loot was actually desirable. The only thing most people seem to even care about is a god rolled austringer. The warlock and hunter armour sets are ugly asf, the Titans is okay looking I guess. I recently changed platform so the only reason I’ve been running it at all is to get 18+ shards each run because my supplies are low. I’m not going to be spending 10-20 minutes in an activity to get 3-6 shards or some seriously lacklustre loot at the end, it just isn’t worth the time. I think it’s a silly change to make unless the loot pool is changed, which we all know it won’t be.

6 AntwortenHeroic Menagerie will be the only thing people will run after they nerf the chest. And that is due to the swords dropping from the boss. Sadly I don’t see why they are “fixing it” I’ve opened the chest about 130 times and I’ve gotten about two god rolls. It’s not like it’s overly generous. Also consider the amount of gear in the loot table that is worth Farming for. You have quite a few really good weapons, Austringer, Beloved, Erentil, etc. You also have the Dreaming City armor that gives Enhanced Perks. Also consider that Armor 2.0 will probably make all current armor obsolete for PVE at least, so it’s not like farming quickly and efficiently now is going to impact playtime in the future considering we will be building our stats in Shadowkeep. I say keep the chest as is!

3 AntwortenYes. I didn't even know there was a chest bug or how it even works. I don't really need to use it. Do people seriously expect 5 legendary drops from 10-15 minutes of gameplay? Where you can choose the rewards?

I'm going to run it heavy this weekend and then maybe once a week for a powerful after that. There's no point. The encounters are now boring having done them 5 or 6 times each. I run to try and get god rolls on my equipment. Probably over 100 runes spent so far and I've gotten 3 god roll weapons, and 2 god roll armor pieces. That's it. This is still a great way of farming with the loot box the way it is. The statistical likelihood of getting god rolls fast and easy is <1%. This is a MUCH better use of time for farming than just spamming que over and over again. If it comes to that then I'll pass. Until they implement a system that allows us to customize everything, this is the next best thing.

Over 50 trusts and 50 austringers later and im still farming runes of desire and running them as soon as i get a few. Safe to say i don't want them to nerf my farming potential. The god rolls are still very difficult to get even when your getting 5-10 drops at a time

I'll still spend plenty of time in it. I just enjoy the encounters.

Hell no. Why would you go throught all that for 1 drop that will almost always be a shit roll? Lol. Farm while you can, all I need is the armor now.
