Community Summit Recruitment
Hey all,
In preparation for fall, we’re looking to invite a few guests from the community to give feedback on what’s currently being worked on. While we’ve begun sending surveys via email and continuously gather feedback from these forums, we are still very interested in getting face to face feedback with players of Destiny 2.
If you are available from July 8 to July 11, reply below with 100 words on why you would like to visit Bungie and give feedback on the future of Destiny 2! [b]Do not[/b] post personal information, but let us know what region you're from. To be selected, you also must be 18 or older.
[b]Note: [/b]There aren’t any specific gameplay requirements for this. We aren’t only considering players who’ve beaten every raid, have memorized Youtube videos for strategies, or have reached Legend in the Crucible. We only have one spot for a member of the Bungie.net forums, so consider this a [i]golden ticket[/i] of sorts. If chosen, we will cover your travel, hotel, and feed you some bread while you’re here.
After 24 hours, we’ll lock the thread and start going through posts. Once someone has been chosen, we’ll let them decide on whether or not they’d like to announce their participation.

100 words. Jk 😅. Bungie I've been playing for so damn long since the beta. I started with the hunter and my first thought playing the class was, man there is something missing from this class. The class, should be or at least seem to be the most agile class in the game. Everything about this class says ninja, so why cant he dodge? Why is there no dodge mechanic, few months later the hunter could dodge. I wasn't surprised. What I'm trying to say is, i think i understand your game and the direction you're going. Since I've played d1 i always wanted more, expected more because i knew this game had, and still has so much potential. But theres so much missing! Im so passionate that i can get so damn upset with the dumb decisions home base makes, but i still love playing destiny. I will play it like its my second life. It practically is for the moment. Until i lose interest.. but i don't want to lose interest! So bungie please hear me out. Ive got suggestions for improvement, ideas to share, love to give... if u need it, and more. Anyways im outttt. Bye

I'm going to be honest about this - I have a serious love hate relationship with this game. There's days where all I can think about is going home and launching an *insert D2 activity* and then there are days where I want to throw my digital copy of D2 right into the Forbidden Zone. Ugh. But let's get real... Seattle is nice this time of year. On top of that, I can't think of anything I'd like more than to be able to tell my dumb manager that I can't come to work for a few days because I'm getting flown out to play Destiny. Texas Warlock main that kills himself with his own rocket 9/10 times.

1 AntwortenI am going to pander, but I am not ashamed of it; I think this is an awesome thing you are doing. We know you care about all of us, not just the big names but this just shows it. On that note, I am from the Midwest and play Destiny 2 whenever I can. Which I think is an important distinction from someone you would want feedback from. I have run the gambit of Destiny(2) playstyles, hardcore to most recently very nearly solo. I think it offers an interesting perspective on what drives me to play and what aspects of activities will drive me to login or drive me to skip. I would love to share the insights I have gained over the years of playing your game and see if I can help you make the Destiny world better for all of us Guardians!

I should be the chosen one. I represent the Destiny player that has stuck through good and bad, close to quitting so many times. But I’m still around. You ask why? Because I earned Redrix’s Claymore the way Bungie originally intended in D2 and had some of my best memories in gaming while playing Destiny 1 with my bro. Sad to say I stuck around as my bro left Destiny 2 for the better “as he felt cheated” and bungie fail to help me bring him back time and time again. I represent the underrepresented PvP Warlock, the solo competitive player, the player who sees untapped potential in The Destiny franchise. I got two words for you “True Comp” I can help you guys make it happen. The revolutionary PvP competitive experience that will finally separate PvP and PvE. True Comp will outclass Trials as a true skill base competitive experience with a robust and meta adapting weapon system. And a stage and rule system that no one will be able to dispute. Here making a shout out from CA and I won’t disappoint.

1 AntwortenI’d love the opportunity to visit Bungie for multiple reasons actually. My first introduction to console shooters was Halo, so just visiting the studio is a bit of a holy site for me. For Destiny, I’ve honestly been on every side of the game’s community: solo player, raider, I was one of the people that somewhat dropped the game until warmind. I think my feedback would be valuable, and I’d love to share it, if you’ll let me. I run a clan, and the opportunity to share our feedback is an opportunity I can’t pass up. From Leesburg, Virginia

31 years old; 3,000 Hours logged in Destiny 2. 66 days worth of Crucible played... Every Raid experienced, long term committed player. Currently I write opinion pieces on Twitter about Destiny 2, and tag other community members to continue the conversation. I've written over or around 100 articles on weapons, builds, strategies, in-game assets, QOL, expansions, States of the Games, and over-all community driven conversation. I participate actively in a variety of streams, and spend time watching YouTube videos from a large variety of players as well. I live in Central California, and am Available to attend the summit. It would be awesome to get a chance to go to the summit and talk about the game I spend so much time in.

Hello Bungie, I've been a player of destiny since the D1 beta. Over the past 5 years playing the game I feel that I have gotten a good idea how the game should be and what should be done to make the game the best it can be. By going to the community summit I believe that I would be able to give detailed feedback on how I believe the game should be and what should be improved upon.

This game means everything to me and it would be an honor to be picked to try out new things for the game I love. I’m in Virginia the Spotsylvania area. I know I won’t get picked but I’m hoping at least Bungie sees how much I love Destiny. So thanks Bungie for a good game

Destiny has been the one game that has kept me hooked, even though I acknowledge all of its flaws. This game has an endless amount of potential and could be expanded upon infinitely, while also keeping the consumer happy. The community members all have a special place in their heart for Destiny and we all wish to see it go the right direction. I'll leave my entry at that, if you want to hear more, then I guess you'll just have to ask at the summit. :)

Destiny is an experience of a game I’ve never felt with any other game before. Back during the beta I was told countless times the creative beauty that Bungie losses when they made Halo. Destiny has had its ups and downs but I still saw a game that took a risk and brought a new creative world and a community. The growth of this community and its accomplishments is astounding. I want to see this game grow as much as this amazing community does, and to go and speak with the people that make this experience helps achieve that goal.

Moin dmg04, I played the beta at a friend and a Guardian since day 2 of Destiny 1 so I'm part of the community for quite some time. Sure I primary played Destiny 1, mostly because you did some avoidable mistakes with Destiny 2, the game didn't "catched"(?) me like the prequel but I still had a lot of fun. I always said what I don't like about the game but praised you for good thinks. I would describe myself as something between a casual and a hardcore gamer. But boy I'm from Hamburg. Hamburg, like Hamburg in Germany, Hamburg. That would be expensive. [i]Sorry vor mei bäd Englisch[/i]

Hey Bungie Team, NZ guardian here Been a huge fan of the game since the beginning and I've always loved that underlying vision that's coming to the surface, through both the gameplay, story and lore. To represent my clan, admittedly we are a smaller clan but we have a pretty spread out focus between both PvE Raids and PvP. A more personal reason i would like to attend is because while destiny has always had its faults it's always been leading to something great and I’ve found that Inspiring. Regardless of the outcome can’t wait to see what’s next

I am a player of Destiny since the Alpha days. Currently play on PS4 and PC. PS4 I am more of a solo player (Hunter of course LOL) and on PC I am part of a clan, I would love the chance to visit and see what's in store for the PvE side and have some great discussions, as that is what I focus on mainly. My k/d reminds me to say out of Crucible unless necessary. I am in the East Coast and of age (did 26 years mil service to give you an idea) Thank You

Bungie, I don’t foresee this actually being chosen because they never pick the girl for video game related stuffs, but Imma give it a shot. I have over 1000 hours in both games. I LOVE the world of Destiny, the lore, the emotions. The sadness of losing my Vanguard Leader and the anger of Uldren coming back. The excitement of what’s to come. ESPECIALLY since it’s Hive. I LOVE HIVE <3 I live in the South-Eastern US and I’m 10 years over the age of 18. I would love the opportunity to come and meet the Devs behind my favorite FPS. This could be my chance to help the community. To make things better for my fellow Guardians. How will we defeat the ever-encroaching darkness, if we don’t stand together? <3 always, Lera

More depth is something Destiny has needed for a long time and I'm glad we're finally getting it, but I'd love to give some feedback to make sure you guys get everything right the first time. I'd also love to talk about the current state of the game and what can be done to make it better.

While Trials was on, I was in the top 5 in the world for time spent in Trials. I am a very active member of the community and dedicate the time I have between working to helping the xbox community who want to get through pvp challenges. I'm one of the few left who have never taken a dime for the help and never will. I'd love to be considered as a voice for the underserved population in the community and provide a positive impact on the future of the game. It's been a good decade now since I was able to save up enough money to make the journey all the way from Scotland for the community meet-up at PAX, but it's still one of my absolute most-cherished memories. Still wear the shirts to prove it. There's no special reason why I feel that I'd deserve the golden ticket over anyone else here on Bnet, I just think it'd be sick to see you guys and gush about the game and the studio. I didn't know how anything could be bigger than Halo, but these summits existing prove it is.

Dear Bungie Team, First I'd like to say thanks for this opportunity to come to Bungie HQ and give feedback on a game I love playing and meeting the people who make it! So a little about myself and my time/ experience playing destiny. I've been playing since the launch of destiny 1 and all the content you have brought to the game since. It's my all time favorite game and I have had many great/unforgettable memories playing it. I would love to come give feedback on my experiences playing destiny and ways to make it enjoyable for all! I'm from washington, Bellevue is only a 40 minute drive for me ( if traffic is good lol ). Again thanks for this opportunity to bring the playerbase together and come up with ideas to keep destiny going for another 10 years! Do it for the puppies!

Hey bungie. Ive been a fan of yours, like many others, of halo and now of the Destiny franchise. Since the moments we stepped into the Cosmodrome all the way to the dark halls of The Menagerie, guardians have been joining in the fight to keep the Last City safe and to acquire all the bread! The Destiny franchise has had its highs and its lows but no matter how dark it gets, I always come back to fight. I attribute that to the amazing story and its potential. Some of it we have to dive into lore entries and grimoire cards. Other times it’s delivered through cinematic campaigns which improve every new dlc. I’d very much like the opportunity to experience your studio, the content you are working on, and to provide feedback for current content and beyond. I love the story, love shooting aliens, and occasionally I like the crucible. (Crucible needs a change, imo) I look forward to shadowkeep and to any additional dlc or games you release for Destiny. I’m from California and I've been a part of the Destiny journey since the Destiny 1 Beta. Destiny has been a constant in my life to which I can always come back to. From all the days I've spent raiding with friends, getting mad at the Vex Mythoclast in Crucible (if you know, you know), or simply wandering uncovering grimoire and lore, I've loved and invested myself in Destiny. Due to all the time and passion I've invested, I have also accumulated a range of ideas. I’m heavily someone invested in the game narrative. From constant community communication, I know what players like to see in terms of narrative and content. I would be able to assist Bungie with nearly every aspect of the game and be the most passionate person in the room at the same time. I want to be a part of Destiny's growth. I want to see Destiny become legend(ary).
