Was very happy to hear this announcement in the blog. It looks like things are really turning around for the game. I am looking forward to finally using some of the eververse armor I found (it currently sits in my vault because the perks arent related to my build...).
If time permits, could the developers also consider converting obsolete year 1 armor into universal ornaments? I really like the appearance of my year 1 anti extinction armor I earned from dead orbit but currently theres no reason to wear it...

What I really want to know if we are missing some armor is their a way to get it?

18 AntwortenI dunno, sounds kinda sketchy to me.

4 Antwortenfaust You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

4 AntwortenTheres far too much focus on trivial shit these days. Eververse, ornaments and other crap wont bring players back to the franchise.
-
6 AntwortenIt breaks the immersion for me. But I think most people want it.🙁 So 🍻. Happy for you!

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kor'Zulega: 6/22/2019 1:49:50 AMI fully agree with your statement, I think the integrality of Y1 armor should "turn into" universal ornaments (including Y1 ornaments), however, Faction sets/Trials of the Nine sets and every no longer obtainable sets should be left as "legacy ornaments" for those who played during the first year, that would also be a way to reward the old players.
-
2 AntwortenWith the new armour system year 1 armour will be brought back into the fold, turning them into ornaments isn’t necessary

10 AntwortenGood old Bungie, always thinking of the players, just like when they removed Prismatic Facets, which helped us get what we want and no one asked for them to be removed. Come to think of it, they also tried to convince us at the time that removing prismatic facets was a good thing, even though the trade-off was that even more items got paywalled, something we later found out by ourselves. Hmmm......

18 AntwortenBearbeitet von name: 6/21/2019 1:17:21 PMdont be fooled by it , everything they do is just a scheme how to squeeze money of ouf players for the least possible effort of course it sounds good now, but thats because they dont tell you all the disadvantages before they release the content, these will be found out by the players
-
Except you have to re-earn the right to use ornaments you earned in Y1.

10 AntwortenJudging from the ViDoc that bungie released on the Shadow Keep, There is a warlock that can be seen wearing the EP armor, And I think there is a hunter or titan (I'm a warlock main so I didn't pay too much attention to them) wearing year 1 crucible gear. My speculation is that year 3's armor 2.0 system is something that will apply to all armor currently in the game, year 1 and 2. Year 2 armor will be claimable from the collections because there won't be random perks, and will instead have mod slots that have the same benefits as the current armor perks.

It is really exciting to be able to use old eververse armor now, and not look like a total trash person while leveling up. I agree I hope they bring back other old armor sets into y3
-
5 AntwortenI just hope this update allows us to use escalation gear as an ornament, as I really like the look of that set.
-
4 AntwortenThey did the ornaments for eververse just so they don’t accused of providing pay-to-win elements, though they foolishly forgot about Iron Banner. It wasn’t out of the goodness of their hearts. Thus, they will never turn year 1 or 2 armour into ornaments, as they want you to grind paywalled year 3 gear. It is all about the money to them at the end of the day.

1 AntwortenSorry mate, I've heard this song and dance too many times. Bungie is doing "x", sounds awesome. Then we get to see what it really is and it's some mutated version of what we all thought it would be. After 5 years of trying to be optimistic I've just given in, it's crap until proven otherwise.
-
I definitely hope this is something that continues to carry over, not only to just eververse gear. This should be universal amongst all gear. Specifically gear that classifies itself as world pickups or endgame gear like the raids. Raid gear ornaments, crucible ornaments, vanguard, gambit, etc. this would be such a wonderful addition. But for now, this is great. Good on Bungie

I wear my New Monarchy when I go into activities. I think it adds a whole other level of difficulty to it. But it would be nice to have Y2 versions of it(both Weapons and Armor)

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von A KOOL POP TART: 6/21/2019 12:42:34 PMHope the armor system they are working on extends to year 1 armor. I'm still wearing the Lost Pacific Gauntlets I got in September 2017 cuz they are the only low profile gauntlets in the game for titans
-
14 AntwortenWhat exactly is "universal ornament?" Is that like in AC: Odyssey where if you don't like the way a piece of armor looks, you can change it in the menu to look like some other piece?
-
I love the direction this gaming is heading in.
-
hope they extent this system to all armor even exotics so you could make your legendary armor look like exotics... hell maybe even weapons.
-
This is a great change and bungie is giving a heads up saying "hey dismantal your eververse gear (that you will still have access too) now so you can have a big pile of dust for when the next season comes around" This will also make room in the vault.
-
4 AntwortenYou saw what they did to the Noble constant helm? That's happening to everything probably. Nothing is gonna be obsolete
-
I'm really happy about this change! Logged on and deleted a bunch of eververse armor, exotic ships and sparrows, and ghost shells from my vault, and shaders from my inventory. I went up from 2500 bright dust to 14000 bright dust :) I can now safely buy any ornament, sparrow, or armor piece that rotates to the EV bright dust shop for the rest of this season.

3 AntwortenI’m wary of it. They specifically said “newly obtained armor”, which implies I’d have to re-grind for “newer” sets instead of keeping and using the ornaments on armor I already have. That would be annoying.
-
9 AntwortenHell yeah! I had this awesome set of Y1 armor that looked incredible on my Titan and now... it’s trash!
