That doesn't even make sense, Infusion and Masterworking are not on the same level of gear investment.
Having to choose between one or the other is a literal problem, nothing about either suggests that they are equal and need to be chosen between. Masterworks are on par with the roll of the gear itself, not its level.
The systems are not related enough to share cores.

You can either accelerate its power level or optimize it (if it hasn't been already) for greater effectiveness. I don't understand why this concept is so hard for you to understand.

If perk enhancing was a thing, having to choose between that and Masterworking would make far more sense, not infusion. The way it is now puts infusion on a much higher priority and leaves masterworking suffering as a result it isn't even, it isn't right. They're too different to function this way.
