Compare Forsaken + Annual Pass to The Taken King and you'll realize we have more going on right now lorewise and gametypewise than we used to then. They're tweaking the formula but it's the right direction. They just need variety during each Season. Idk if there's even going to be a Y3 yet or if D3 is this year that way they don't have anything Activision-y holding them back from whatever Bungie wants to do. This content addition is somewhat of what I'd asked for during D1. A more living Destiny. Most every week there's been one or two new things added. Whether it's Emissary/Drifter Lore, The IX lore, Gambit Prime maps, Exotics (and Quests), Black Armories, Lore to Ada and her mother one of the Forgemasters of the Black Armory (who made an Exo that wasn't Bray-tech which I thing had subtle significance. Not 100% sure on that). Have you gone through and found every scannable, every ahamkara, every egg, every Seal? There is so much if people wanted to and I see Bungie's effort to quench the grind. It is a bit grindier and they could add more [u][b]VARIETY[/b][/u] and that would fix it by mixing up meta with a greater influx of armors and weapon-types and rolls. Who knows. They tweak their formulas to suit over time. At some point they'll find that variety-quantity sweet spot. It just takes seeing what people like and don't or what options need to be taken to fix it. Just that one boldened word would fix the problem. Vanguard suffered support because Strikes weren't as prevalent but I think Vanguard didn't show their interest in the Gambit because they were trying to lure out Shadows. That's what a lot of these past two Seasons has been leading up to but they haven't really had cinematics showing [spoiler]these things since drifter and the Hunter playing cards and Uldren's revival[/spoiler]. But we haven't even seen what Opulence is going to bring(except a new Cabal Raid if I heard correctly). I'm excited to see what this new Season will bring and what may come in Y3 or D3 as well because if you fully delve in the lore in it's fullness you'll see all the potential storylines and directions they are possibly working on.
